From what i observe games are based on newest edition so if, Mage M5 will see the light of day will see a game (i hope) like it was with Werewolf, i didn’t remember that deal was due until 2027 so that leave the breathing space for another Ww and Hunter games as well for Paradox to publish whatever gamline they want to publish next. Since we just had one Hunter and one Werewolf game for now that would probably be place for another Vampire game?
I yearn for a Mage: The Ascension game. If given the chance in such a game, I will happily have my character join the Technocratic Union, assuming that starting as such is not an option. I have always been a faithful Technocrat to the core.
I so desperately desire to see games for the others as well. Changeling: The Dreaming, Wraith: The Oblivion, Kindred of the East, Mummy: The Resurrection, and especially Demon: The Fallen. Time will tell.
Well so far only 2 out of the 10 have been released so, in theory, we should see a decent uptick in releases over the next few years yeah?
I’m sorry my friend but those are all Old WoD. The licenses these days are only for v5 WoD.
Probably. Remember, WoD games may take a little longer to go through production than most CoG titles, since they do tend to be on the longer side, and WoD is involved in the editorial process to make sure authors are getting all the details right. So while it would have been nice to see them come along at a steady rate, I’m not really surprised it’s started with a trickle.
That’s true, but considering the current rate I wonder if we will even get the remaining 8 by next 5-6 years. Maybe if they are all being worked on right now , but I doubt that. I wonder if they are rethinking the number of books to release
The four VtM games were released within the span of a year and a half. And there were ten months between Night Road and Out for Blood, then only three between Out for Blood and Parliament of Knives.
There was never any implication that the new games would be released at a constant rate. I wouldn’t be surprised if the majority of the promised games come out in 2026 or 2027. But I’m certain CoG and Paradox didn’t enter this contract without a fairly solid plan in mind.
