Has anyone figured out how to be the best kingmaker ever(reaching Lord High Constable)?
Also, what does the wealth stat mean in the sense of the earldom and of the character, and what are the different levels?

I don’t think I’ve had a playthrough where I wasn’t Lord High Constable.
Go to Lords Of Aswick Help it should be there
I think you meant Lord High Chancelor.
All versions of the game seems to be updated to the 1.0.4v, now the guide I posted will work for everyone.
@Urban guide doesn’t work for me and my game has been updated to the 1.0.4v. My most balanced stats are 71,70 and 70 and I still get named Lord High Constable.
@Goshman I think I may of found some problems in Lords of Aswick code. When I chose to to send the MC’s younger brother to the holy seat to get an education, later on in the game it says that I sent him off to become a squire for a knight.
Also when I get the responses to who my MC’c want’s to court and become their wife, Lady Bruna’s response show’s up even though I didn’t choose to send her a letter.
What are your stats and what happened? Because it worked for me.
And the guide is to be named Lord High Chancellor, not Lord High Constable.
I wanted to become Lord High Chancellor using your guide. My stat’s were 71,70,70 and I still got named Lord High Constable. Those were the most balanced stat’s I could get.
I think there may be a problem with the games code or may something else going on that I just can’t see.
That was because you were at 71 for your martial stat. Your highest stat determines where you end up in the privy council.
To be come Lord High Chancellor don’t you need to have balanced stats? That what’s @Goshman guide says on his web site.
I replayed the game with the same choices of my guide, and I got everything and was named Lord High Chancellor.
I think you choose something wrong when you were playing.
Where have you posted it? I can’t find anything.
I found were I made the wrong choice. Thank you for your help.
Hello all! New here! I been lurking through the posts and it seems like all of your characters had a better fate then my own and I’m a tad bit envious here. I really need to check out that guide on my next play through of this game. My MC ended up being banished after I lent my support to Augustine and John ended up winning the war, so I got the crusades ending. Which isn’t bad per say since he ended up being Grandmaster and doing well for the Order. It was actually sort of fitting for him since I made him quite religious from the start. So it’s not bad…just on the side of depressing. Being alone and spurned as a traitor back in your home country while everyone you know dies or is a world away from you never to be seen again. I should have supported Stephen! The epilogue makes it bitter sweet though.
All that said I really, really, enjoyed this COG. Everything is so well-done and genuine, not to over to the top like some medieval/fantasy games can be. I eagerly await the sequel.
“Better” is such a relative term.
A while back I was asked what my preferred ending is, and I have to tell you that I’m glad to see more people discovering the path it happens in. My “best” ending is a feverish death during a siege in the Crusade. Not enough folks discover and explore the path of fighting for the glory of the One True God.
I’m glad you enjoyed the story and thought it to stand out from other stories in the genre.
Presenting a realistic image of a historical world was and is one of my main goals for this series, and the future will see the renaissance, colonial, and enlightenment eras given the same treatment.
i kind of like doing the crusade thing as well however i could never find a really good build to do it with?
the one i normally go with dieds before really getting there? i think because of lake of faith
You will need Faith and Valour.
ty for that info but is that high+ faith, valour, then whatever else
or do i just pass of nobelity and focus on valor / faith?
IIRC there is not much need for Nobility and Courtesy on the Crusades. I would focus on Faith and Valour.
So, Awhile ago I did the whole crusade play through, and started my own order on the island and all that, but I’ve never been able to re create that playthrough if someone would link me to a guide on that, or explain something, that’d be great! Thanks
