I did give her the list of traitors… but I didn’t hook up with her. She flirted with me, but it didn’t get any further than that.

Did you join the Barons to betray them and later made the list with the name of the traitors?

I just tried doing that and I don’t recall that option being presented, although I think I remember seeing it in prior playthroughs.

Hey everyone,
I love this game and I’ve completed it multiple times, however I want to try to get the bastard child with Marguerite. I am able to seduce/talk with her after the big battle where the king gets wounded, and I’ve read that there is a 50% chance of her getting pregnant. However after playing through it about 11-13 times I still haven’t been able to get the bastard plot.
Am I doing something wrong? Or are there other parameters that I’m not aware of that I haven’t met?

Are you marrying her? If yes, then it’s just bad luck.
It’s better for you to save at the begnning of the chapter 3 and if you don’t have a bastard child load the chapter 3 save and try again.

Yes, I’m marrying her. And I’ve also placed a savepoint at the start of chapter 3 and I’m just replaying that time and time again but every time we just get married and consummate the marriage and she gets pregnant. No bastard whatsoever…
It’s just that after trying so many times I’m starting to wonder if I missed something…
When do you get to the bastard dialogue?

Whether you get a bastard or not is determined right after you bed Marguerite at the feast. You get to know if you have it when you court her and invite her to Aswick.
So you’ll want to keep doing that loop until you get a child with her. It sounds like you are either having very bad luck, or you’re getting screwed somehow by stored data.
If you still have issues with it, try a fresh restart of the game. I’m not sure how reliable the RNG is, so it might be that it’s favouring the old result even when you loop around through the save point.

True, because I’ve done the Marguerite marriage route multiple times. And 100% of the time I’ve gotten a bastard.
I think I’ve gone 6 for 6 at this point.
Well, I’m about 50/50 on it; on mine. I just did another play through to confirm that it still works, and it does. I just finished the duel with the appointed Viscount.

I remember the time when i needed to restart 7 times to impregnate Marguerite.

Thank you for your help. It seems that I was just unlucky and RNG decided to screw with me. After about 21-22 tries I managed to get a the storyline with the bastard.
