honestly the only thing that would make it a hard thing to use would be it is
A) it’s trackable. something this size won’t be missed easy
B) it’s expensive. not only must it be maintained the entire time it’s in orbit, but the alloys to protect the missile’s detonation system would be incredibly pricey. (although going along the route of a laser, while alloys won’t be needed for each firing, extra coolant and targeting systems would be needed, which brings me to C.
C)it’s inaccurate. hitting a target from orbit is extremely hard, hitting even the same continent your target is on would be a longshot. Massive fuel usage would be needed to stabilize a shot. (Although I suppose if some sort of kinetic generator could be developed and implemented, it could compensate for fuel needs by harnessing the orbit the weapon already follows, but that kinda tech would take decades to hone, and I suppose if automaton drones could livestream exact co-ordinates directly to the satellite with an accurate and in-synch response time, the cannon could nail a city sized target zone by compensating for movement .)
Yeah, sorry, the particle laser concept will not be in this game. In the days leading up to the demo though, I’d like to hear if you guys have any other suggestions for the game. Please only leave helpful suggestions and try not to go off on tangents. Thanks!
My apologies, I got sidetracked. To be honest I still think the backstory behind the powers needs more plausibility, and I think that there should be a faction that knew the nukes were coming (maybe the ones that launched it?) and built shelters and suits capable of filtering radiation completely.
OK, how does this sound? Knowing a nuclear war may have been coming your parents converted the basement into a fallout bunker which you happened to be in when the bombs dropped. But, the fallout bunker was less secure than they thought and some radiation leaks in. Weird circumstances, I know, but I’ll find a way to make it work.

I’ve seen doomsday preppers. Some of those people were completely nuts. But they did have some good points. You’d be surprised at the amount of faulty fallout bunkers that get built.
