Thrilled to finally see some Hephaestus inclusion! Love it!

I’m torn on this suggestion because I’m a “Good Boy TM” player as often as I can be so the likelihood that I would even see this content is low. And why would I suggest you do extra work in that case? But, knowing how much of a meddler she could be, I would enjoy seeing the option to lean into that as a personality. I mean… a little messy drama never hurt nobody. Just. You know. Troy. It’s fine. It worked itself out. :face_with_peeking_eye:

I don’t think I know much about the charities? They’re officially added to my list of things to research

I definitely want to add in some meddling drama! Nothing too malicious, because the Greek gods can be… unlikable at times. But definitely drama and some unusual situations

I would be very interested in seeing the more vengeful, violent, madness inducing side of her. Some feared Aphrodite most out of all the gods, not least of which because ~passion drives you insane.~ She mothered the literal embodiments of fear and terror, albeit with Ares. She was nearly single-handedly responsible for the Trojan war alongside Eris. She was a force to reckon with. Love is the greatest and most horrifying power on Earth, or so they say. (Don’t ask me who they are though :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)

On a more light-hearted note though, the myth of Pygmalion would be neat to explore.

This sounded familiar. And sure enough, there is a similar sounding concept explained in tumblr: (Aphrodite: Affairs of the Heart). Are you the creator of this post or did you just stumble upon a similar idea?

Don’t let the similarities stop you though! I’m eager to see this project come to life, especially since that tumblr post seems to be a joke post or parody…

How about the tale of Eros and Psyche? Its my favorite.

The entire blog is just satire so I don’t think Anna_B has anything to do with it.

Title: *The Heir’s Quest: Reclaimation *
Author: Ashwini Mohapatra
Genre: Drama, Romance, Fantasy, War

Short synopsis: With the king killed and you forced to escape from your only known home, will you be able to reclaim your throne or fall to your enemy’s schemes. Tread carefully for each step is filled with treachery and betrayal

Longer blurb:

You are a 16 year old heir to the kingdom formed some 2 generation ago. Both your parents died few years ago making you the last living descendant of your family. You are forced to escape because your cousin kills your elder brother, the current king. The rest of the story is how you reclaim your throne, find love and maybe even a greater destinty like unite the entire realm which has been disunited against multiple invasions from foreign enemies or take the fight to them.

This is the basic idea. I have been toying with the idea of writing with this and few other ideas for last few years in chociescript but has been unable to write it due to lack of time. I have written a prologue which might seem small being some 3.5k but thats only because currently I have made the prologue with gender locked player. If you’re interested, please let me know!
I know the idea may sound like some of the games already available but I would request all to give prologue a try before going ahead.
Also I have not added any image currently since it is in very early stages of planning

No, that’s not my project. And I’m glad you like the idea!

I’m actually planning on doing Eros and Phyche separately, if people like my Aphrodite game. (I even have a weird timeline in my head. Because it’s so obvious that Aphrodite happens before Hades and Persephone. And of course Eros and Phyche comes after that :joy:)

Also I will appreciate any opinion you have on it

First of all, I’ve never introduced a character like this in my life (and I’ve never written fictional stories), but I was inspired and impressed by the game I played, and I decided to visualize what kind of person I was imagining in my head with music and write it that way. English is not my native language, you can already understand how I integrate paragraphs. also, I don’t have an aspect that I understand from coding in general. and since I don’t have a computer that will need it anyway, it will remain for now as a half-story that will stay between the lines in the Word application on my phone.

Game called; The Last Door (I decided to write by listening to the music of this game. It made me shed a tear not gonna lie :skull:)
Anyways…

in short, I will post a summary of our character here.

Our main character is 26 years old and has been diagnosed with severe depression and dezorganize schizophrenia by their doctor, from whom they receives therapy, and is using medication on the doctor’s advice. The trauma from their past has affected them so much that they unconsciously shows their distance towards people in their daily life with their attitude. No matter how much the doctors explained to our character, there was no way to fully cure this disease, but at least the medication would help to relieve the symptoms. MC spend their sleepless nights just staring out of their little window. They were not quite sure at the moment when they decided to let our MC out. Our character spends their years in isolation because they have (besides learning their brother passed away after receiving an uninvited letter) no one in their life since the mental hospital and their acquaintances there.

Mental problems aside, the moment you read the letter, something went wrong and you had never seen your brother talk like that. Although your brother’s death was counted as a suicide, even though it contained almost cryptic messages, you don’t trust your thoughts to comment out loud, but you were so sure of that there’s a lot missed info your brother didn’t mentioned in the letter, before he passed away. Now… you decided to go to that house out of respect for your brother’s sake. Despite he’s warnings, and at the risk of losing yourself completely on the road, you set out.

This is it ( I know the paragraphs are looking… wonky a lot lol)
I have also written the letter, but it is too long. :smiling_face_with_tear:

IT’S LONG GOODNESS

Okay, so I edited the concept a little.

In this concept, you still play as Cinderella (or Cinderellis if male) and you still have recently married a prince/ss. However, there are 3 routes all which vary according to which personality the prince/ss has. Accordingly, their hobbies, their ambitions, and even the royal family itself will change, depending on which route you take.

The 3 routes are listed below:

  • The Fairytale Prince/ss Route: In this route, the prince/ss is “quiet, thoughtful, and compassionate, often seen as the forgotten sibling due to their older brother’s charm and larger than life presence. Unassuming, gentle, and kind-hearted, they are so different from the nobles that look down on you.”
  • The Trash Prince/ss Route: In this route, the prince/ss is playful, extroverted, and charming. They’re seen as the frivolous, trash prince/ss and are often overshadowed by their more competent and colder older brother.
  • The Dark Prince/ss Route: In this route, the prince/ss is “icy, brooding, aloof. They’re seen as the dark prince/ss and are often overshadowed by their warm and compassionate older brother. You’re not sure exactly why they chose you, for they don’t act like they’re in love with you.”

Charm–your fairy friend–can’t be romanced. Neither can the evil step brother/sister. However, they have now quests attached to them that you can choose to complete or not.

Questions I have for people reading this:

  • Is there any route that captures your attention?
  • fairytale
  • dark
  • trash

  • If you could add a route, what would it look like?

Two things:
First of all, this is a very fun and interesting way to address the whole “the prince and Cinderella are married, but also I want love interests” issue with your original idea. It’s like 3 ROs rolled into one!

Secondly, as much as I love it, this method could end up being complicated. You know, every scene could potentially change based on which “prince/princess” we go with. Like I said, I like this idea. But it may end up being a coding nightmare

I have no idea if it’s still in action or not, but there was a game a while back called “The Odessa Dating Games” that included one RO who you could pick a personality archetype for. It was a cool concept, as is this, but if that writer is still around, it could be a good idea to pick their brain on how that worked out for them.

That said, I do think this particular instance might be simpler than it seems at first. If there are no other RO’s, then creating one RO with three distinct personalities isn’t really very different from just writing three RO’s. It’ll take an eye for errors but I think it’s just as doable as multiple romance options and I like the angle.

I’m still a newbie at coding things so I don’t know how realistic this goal is. Still, I do want to give it a try.

This is a good idea!! I’ll see if I can contact them and pick their brain on how this works.

This is encouraging. Thank you for your comment!

Lol! Oh my god we are all so predictable!

I’d add perhaps an actiony/sporty one, for the people who like training/wargaming aspects more than political/intrigue ones.

Not me, give me “thrash” prince route, love a cute, charming troublemaker.

Love seeing more political-themed WIPs pop up and India is certainly a fascinating democracy to set a story like this in. Looking forward to seeing future additions to it – best of luck!

Hello this is my first story, and it is in very early development so any feedback is more than welcome. I’m mainly here to see if this is worth pursuing or not.

Title: TBD

Story concept: As one of the only doctors left in the zombie filled world, you work for the military traveling around providing life saving aid and training to different bases. Before your next shift to another base, the base you were stationed at was attacked and raided by raiders. You are captured and forced to work as their doctor. Now you must decide: will you help those who harmed so many others?

Info:
-Determine if you stick to your morals as a doctor or not.
-Play as a non fighter character.
-During the raid you got trapped in a fire where you were injured. This affects how well you perform your job. Choose between damaged lungs, leg or hands.
-Start as peaceful, and non violent, and choose if you stick to that mindset.
-Learn more about the raiders and why they do what they do.
-Go on supply runs, try to escape or not, learn more about your new patients, make hard choices, manage your limited supply of medicine, or maybe even become an advisor to the leader.

Characters:
The leader: Every time you see her, she has been ruthless, and cruel, but behind her community’s own walls it’s a different story. She seems almost kind? To her citizens and raiders but more notably to you. Just who is the leader?

The Traitor: You recognize them from your travels as a doctor, they are the child of a high ranking officer, that is until they threw it all away and fell in love with a raider, then proceeded to run away with them. Now they stick around you, claiming it because they refuse to let you destroy their already fragile standing in the community, but you can’t help but think there’s a deeper reason.

The advisor: Where the leader is kind, it’s not such the case with this one, he hates you and the military and he makes that very clear. He is the right hand man to the leader and the mastermind behind the raids. Also the one who has the ear of the leader, and the one who advises her.

Note: I’m still working on their names.

I love the forced choice between damaged lungs, leg, or hands. Brutal and awesome! This sounds interesting to me.

what do you guys feel towards resource management games?

last night I tried checking HG and COG discussions on reddit, it doesn’t seem that people dislike management games that tells less story, but they also expect to be able to do more in the game and less randomized outcome

so is the genre still going strong?

Not speaking for anyone else but me. Personally, I hate them. I already have a second job, I don’t need my entertainment to masquerade as a third.
