AT THE END OF EVERYTHING
at the end of everything is an urban fantasy story about loss, grief and everything that comes after. you play as yourself, returning back to your small home town of possum’s creek, indiana five years after the incident which made you leave.
as your reconnect with your family, your old friends and yourself, you realize that there’s something more to the creek than meets the eye.
a.k.a., the story that’s been done a million times with an urban fantasy twist.

THE PARTY
not all the relationships with your r/os in ATEOE have to be romantic or sexual. asexual and aromantic options are avaliable, alongside your standard romantic options.
the party are your old friends, which you used to play d&d with when you were younger. it’s been five years since you’ve heard or spoke to any of them- some have changed wildly, while others are the same.

THE DUNGEON MASTER - harley is the guy who introduced you to d&d when you were younger. two years older than the rest of you, he’d take on the role of the dungeon master, staying up all night just to write fun campaigns for you lot. he’s a care free, laid back, goes with the flow kind of guy, with enough creative juices to fill an ocean. he hasn’t changed a bit since you left.
harley is 5’10” ft tall and has pale, pinkish skin covered in a myriad of freckles. he has brown, wavy shoulder length hair, which cups his face and shoulders, the bangs falling just above his eyebrows. his eyebrows are thick and expressive. his eyes are dark brown, almost black, and they’re super easy to get lost in. he can always be seen wearing yellow tinted aviators and a loose fitting tanktop. he has a black handkerchief in his left pocket.
harley uses he/him pronouns and is homoromantic demisexual, and can be romanced by male players. can be in a poly w/ the barbarian, for male mcs. also, before you ask, harley is 100% inspired by eddie munson.
THE BARBARIAN - bastion used to be your best friend, closer to you than the rest of the party. he would play the role of the barbarian, surprising as he always used to be quiet and unassuming, unnatural for an orc. out of everyone, he’s changed the most, becoming a cop and also finding his confidence somewhere when you were gone. now, he seemingly hates you and always look at you with disdain.
bas is 6’5” ft tall and has brown skin, with a light dusting of freckles on his nose. his hair is dark brown and styled into locs, cascading down to his midriff. he has thick eyebrows with a split in the left one. his eyes are light green and they always have a mean look in them. like all orcs, he has sharp ears and two tusks jutting from his bottom row of teeth. he rarely can be found outside of his police uniform, and when he is he opts to wear a green camo jacket and pants.
bas uses he/him pronouns and is panromantic pansexual, and can be romanced by a player of any gender. can be in a poly w/ the dungeon master, for male mcs.
THE BARD - seraphim was always the group’s loud mouth. they played as the bard, the role suiting them perfectly. whenever they weren’t bothering or playing with you lot, they could be found strumming their guitar. they’re loud and proud, with an obsession with metal music and 80s culture. they were, quote and quote, born in the wrong era. they haven’t changed much, working at a diner by day and shredding their guitar in their band at night.
sera is a 6’1” tiefling with light gray skin, with ram horns protruding from their head, curling around their sharp ears. their horns and ears ombre into black at the ends. their hair is blood red and feathery, usually slicked back. their eyebrows are thin and round. their eyes are chocolate brown surrounded by thick red eyelashes. they usually wear leather jackets on top of tank tops. they have scars on their chest from top surgery.
sera uses they/them pronouns and is afab. they’re panromantic pansexual and can be romanced by a player of any gender.
THE PALADIN - you were never close to rue, the lycan who played as the paladin. she was harley’s friend, and only played because harley asked. she was always quiet and stoic, never really engaging with any of you. from what you can see, she’s not changed much, except she’s more outspoken.
rue is 5’7” and a lycan, with olive skin. she has fluffy blonde hair which falls around her shoulders, styled in a wolf cut. her eyebrows are thin and plucked, but aren’t that expressive. her eyes are light blue. she has various tattoos on her forearms and chest. she usually wears layers, not really comfortable showing her skin.
rue uses she/her pronouns and is bisexual biromantic, and can be romanced by male or female players.
the rest of the party
THE FIGHTER - kirk was always like a puppy in a giant, minotaur body. besides bas, they were one of your best friends. they played as the fighter, which suited them well. they were always happy-go-lucky, optimistic and always brightened whatever room they walked into. they haven’t changed much, besides becoming 100% more charming.
kirk is a 6’8” minotaur, a person with a bull’s head and tail. their fur is light brown and extremely fluffy, with darker brown speckles on their muzzle and ears. their nose is strawberry pink with brown spots. their tail is the same color as their fur, ending with dark brown fluff. their body is built and extremely muscled, their skin being beige and covered in freckles. they’re usually wearing button up shirts and sweaters, which is the easiest thing for them to put on, thanks to their horns.
kirk uses he/they pronouns is amab.
THE ROGUE - isobel has never liked you. the only reason she stuck around to play d&d was because of her fat crush on bastion, one which hasn’t gone away, even all these years later. she played as the rogue, which suited her perfectly. to everyone else she was as sweet as could be, though to you she was the complete opposite.
isobel is a 5’3” human with freckled, tawny skin. she has curly, hip-length hair which is dish-water blonde. she usually has it pulled back into a low ponytail, with little wisps cupping her face. her eyebrows are thin and expressive. her eyes are dark green, with gold flecks in them. she’s all about fitness, so of course she’s somewhat muscled. she can usually be found wearing crop tops and sweat pants.
isobel uses she/her pronouns.
debating on making kirk and isobel r/os, but i’m gonna keep them as purely platonic for now.
