Interest Check Thread

Here’s a couple that jump to mind for me (you’re welcome to use these or adapt them or whatever, of course)

  • MC is a prodigy who suffers a wrist injury and becomes the coach of a team who makes it to the world championship but one of your players gets sick on Finals day and you have to step in for one single match of glory

  • MC picks up a Moba to duo queue and bond with their kid but turns out to have an incredible talent for the game and has to balance a Real Life career with minor-league pro matches

  • MC begins as a hacker who sells exploit software but gets hired by the game production studio (after threatening legal action) and has to choose whether to work for the “good guys” or secretly continue assisting cheating players

Definitely interested in your story I like your plans for customization especially giving us many options like military strengths, age, tattoos, and am curious on what your plans are for limbs, senses and mental health. The fact that height would play a important role in your game is something I like very much and I think is underutilized in most wips. Looking forward to seeing the demo

Hey! So, I’ve been working on a story for a few months now. It’s something that I truly enjoy and would happily keep to myself, but I wanted to see how you guys would feel about reading something like this? It’s a murder-mystery with romance. Details are all below!

The Killing Seasons: Summer.

Summary

After a four-year dormancy, the infamous serial killer codenamed ‘The Season Slayer’ has attacked his first target. However, unlike the former twenty-eight victims—you have survived.

An alcoholic detective and a team of unwelcome FBI Agents must solve the case and keep you safe. Something easier said than done when old habits die hard, and you launch your own investigation. Starting with the tarot card he left behind at the crime scene.

The Killing Seasons: Summer, is a gritty murder-mystery and romance novel (one of four) set in a fictional dystopian city called ‘Paradise’, in the year 2101. It highlights the difficulties of recovering from severe emotional traumas. The damage that government corruption causes to the public. And it advocates against the unfair injustices people in lower social classes face on a day-to-day basis.

Written in British-English.

Your History and Role

You were a journalist whose sole focus was to investigate the blatant neglect toward cold case victims from The Fringes. A decaying corner in Paradise City that is without law enforcement and whose residents suffer. Your research and influence gained public attention, as well as the ire of the mayor and the wealthy who tarnished your reputation.

An entire year has passed since the fall of your career, and you grow exhausted by the strain of your crumbling life. Standing on the guardrail of an old bridge, a strange man approaches you for a chat but does nothing to intervene as you prepare to jump. Then, with one foot out into the open air, two hands press against your back and push…

But you didn’t die.

With a team of enforcers on your side, a long list of contacts, and a hunger for revenge. You take the law into your own hands and get ready to take down the killer yourself. No matter the consequences.

Details
  1. Play as male, female, or non-binary. With options for transgender characters (with or without surgeries).
  2. Play as gay, straight, asexual, touch-adverse, and more.
  3. Romance up to 5 characters. 3 are gender flippable, while the other 2 are non-binary and female. (There is one love triangle route.)
  4. Choose your weight, height, clothing, and features.
  5. Enjoy multiple choices in both flirting and personality building.
  6. Select an addiction or self-destructive behaviour that your character suffers from and help them recover.
  7. Strengthen your ‘mental health’ bar by attending therapy, taking your medication, connecting with others, and making the right choices. Or go in the opposite direction and see how your choices affect your character.
  8. Follow the clues that the killer leaves behind with or without help from your ‘team’.
  9. Strengthen your skills in: combat, weapons/explosives, intelligence/tactics, agility/stealth.
Romance Options

Alexander/Alex Williams ( M: 6’5) or ( F: 6’2), American.

Personality: inspiring, optimistic, brave, and loyal.

Caleb/Cara Williams ( M/F 5’6), American.

Personality: reserved, perceptive, independent, and wary.

Arman/Arina Jazani (M/F 6’ ) , Persian.

A was a promising Detective with an incredible future ahead of them. But when a bank heist went awry, they lost the people they loved the most. A is now a shell of their former self and no longer cares about following the rules, shooting criminals first and asking questions later.

Strongest Skill: Weapons and Explosives.

Personality: unpredictable, stubborn, sarcastic, and emotional.

Blaise Brunel (NB 5’8 ) , African-American.

Blaise is an attractive crowd favourite who specialises in Communications. Being more of a lover than a fighter, Blaise has so far escaped every confrontation in their career with a few choice words and a brilliant white smile.

Strongest Skill: Persuasion.

Personality: cunning, flirty, playful, and self-assured.

Ester Jin (F 5’3 ) , Korean.

Ester is a recent member of the team and is relied on for getting into secure areas without detection. With her featherlight frame and silent steps, she is the best Agent of her kind. Ester was born mute, and relies on sign language and a digital notepad to communicate with others.

Strongest Skills: Agility and Stealth.

Personality: calm, genuine, introverted, and shy.

What about if the MC is already a pro player, but they’re going to retire next year/season whether or not they win the World Championship. The MC can either focus on acquiring the World Championship, or focus their career on something else. How would that sound?

perfect! I’m sure once you start writing you’ll think of a million things better than I could come up with but sometimes you just need that kick to get started

This is such a cool idea! Not only can I play as a dwarf, but I can romance one too? Hell yeah. Sign me up. Good luck with the writing process, that morality system and absent minded character build sounds like an exciting chaos concoction.

Mean!

High School is awful. Luckily, senior year has finally arrived and all this bullsh*t will all go away in a blink of an eye. Set in the early 2000s, Mean! will follow a plot similar to the cult classic Mean Girls, but in this case, the outcast will be the main character. The early 2000s is an interesting time… bad outfits, landlines, and homophobia – all to be tackled in this book.

Basic Plot:

Despite the name, going to High School at Friendship Hark has not been dandelions and roses. Luckily, it is senior year, and you’ll be out of the small town in a matter of months. The plan is to keep your head down and graduate with a scholarship to your States’ public university. Easy-peasy. But, this plan goes to the wayside when a New Kid arrives, and a new plan comes into fruition. This may be the one shot you get at revenge on your ex-BFF, the HBIC, a.k.a. the-bane-of-your-existence, and you’re going to take it.

The Apex Predator is about to become the hunted.

Features:

  • The ability to customize the gender, the sexuality, and the looks of the main character

  • Prom! The highlight of everyone’s high school career

  • A good ol’ revenge plot

  • Teenage Hormones (y’know… tears and horny)

  • Jingle Bell Rock™

  • Punching lockers, vending machines, and other inanimate objects

ROs

– Audrey/Andrew Grayson (F/M, gender-locked to be the same gender as the main character) – The HBIC and your ex-BFF

– Theo Meyer (F/M) – The New Kid

– Elsie/Eli Strand (F/M) – The Cheerleader/The Jock

– Hayden Reed (F/M) – Theatre Kid

Content Warnings

Content Warnings: Slurs, Homophobia, Internalized Homophobia, Sexism, Small Town Vibes

It’s the classic film in a new, more serious light. Please let me know what you think and if you would play such a thing.

You do! I rewatched it during finals week and it’s a great non-thinking film. (Also, the musical, 10/10 :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:)

I love a good nostalgic nod to Mean Girls!! I’m already channeling my inner-Janice for this one so good luck with the process, daydames. The second this one is out I’m going to be there with my revenge cap firmly planted. It’s going to be so fetch.
