Thank you so much! I’ll give that a try. I was using that guide, but I didn’t realize those tags/the ruthlessness would get in the way.
Greetings, all. I come with a couple of questions. I skimmed a bit through the thread and noticed that in the very beginning it was mentioned that it is already possible to save your games (I assume after the score table), yet I do not see such an option, it simply says play again on my end. I got my game through google play, if that matters. Could it be that it skipped an update or something like that?
Speaking of updates, as I understand it, there will be an update for the first game in the future, but I couldn’t find information whether it is crucial to replay the game in its entirety afterwards. For example, my main guy has some of his stats in the 90% range, but back when I played the game I did not write down the choices made to achieve this. And the thing is, I would hate to lose that save. Am I safe just uploading this save from one game to another in the future (post-update), or will the fact that it is not an updated save somehow mess up future games? For instance, plot threads will fall apart, among other things of that nature.
Also, and I know that it is a pretty niche choice, but does the option of “interested in romance, but not sex” in the settings do anything at all, or is it a troll choice? I made a couple of throwaway characters to see how this will affect the narrative, but there didn’t seem to be any dialogue or anything to indicate that it is selected. For example, with both Herald and Steel, if the mc decides to visit them, all they (the mc) can do is say their goodbyes and leave after hanging out. Argent’s path did not address this either. Did anyone pick this option and see whether it was addressed in the text in any way?
I appreciate any reply, thank you.
By company’s policy the ability to save your game is only added when/if next installment is close to release.
Can anyone tell me how to end up in Sidestep’s body at the end, not the puppet? I saw earlier in the thread that it’s possible to romance both Ortega and Herald and you can visit Ortega in the hospital at the end, but even when I go to the HG meeting as the puppet I still wake up in the puppet body, unable to get back to Sidestep. Is there more that has to be done to be stuck as sidestep, beyond just going to the meeting as the puppet?
What body you end up with is determined by level of “comfort” Sidestep feels while inhabiting the puppet (pcv
variable). This is determined by choices made during the game, and also by extra factors (like puppet’s gender matching, or not, Sidestep’s desired gender and whether they’re trans). At the last stage, after the crash, this value can be modified to some extent (±30 points) by choosing to smash the mirror which reflects the person you don’t want to wake up as.
Okay, thank you!! That makes a lot more sense, I hadn’t connected the mirror decision to it at all!
Don’t worry buddy, killing and destroying the city is my favourite activity in this game, too :>
Has reddit found this thread?
Alright I found out how your main guy can have a 90% and it took all of the choices that increase subtle manipulations. So, here’s the list:
Also make sure to flirt and be nice and friendly with Mortum.
High ruthlessness is important as well.
I am cleverer than Argent
Argent Impersonation
Go look for the box as yourself, look at the chaos and make Joshua remember the slight
Flashback:
No, I’m curious about this
Admit to Ortega you’re a telepath (Increases both subtle and will at the elevator later)
Flashback Heartbreak:
I’m smarter than this, my mind is my own.
I can’t do this, feint and take the fight to them
I need to hide don’t make me remember
Choose Telepathy upgrade for your suit and any other
Keep a light touch as you repaint Argent’s memories
Take Mortum to the gala as a date/flirting
Don’t choose to kill the guards and make them attack each other with your telepathy
Use your telepathic powers to deal with Herald
Don’t get your ass kicked too bad in order to visit Ortega at the hospital
Let Mortum take you to your house, then invite them upstairs and do love to them
And when you wake up as Sidestep in the hospital you will do bad things but increase your subtle manipulations once more and be sitting at a comfortable 90% subtlety.
Alright I have a simple question about Herald’s potential heroism.
Basically, if he manages to save the museum but there are still people inside, Ortega talks about there being people murdered in cold blood despite the fact that I didn’t kill the guards. So, I was wondering if this was on purpose and Herald managed to save the museum and avoid a massacre, but not completely avoid the loss of life, or if there’s any chance you forgot to set kill false after he saves the museum.
Probably the latter, that might be one of the bugs needing fixing once I get back from vacation.
Harold’s gonna get shook when I take off my mask.
Least horny coggite.
Thanks for the guide. Time to make my strongest telepathic variant yet and replay both books again.
I’ve always preferred the 71 Force/82 Subtle builds.
I’ve heard rumors about 80+/80+ builds. Do those even exist? Or is it just me misremembering things?
For both stats? I don’t think so unless you start at book 2 and customize them.
There is a guide to get 80+/80+, I’ve never used it before though since I’m happy enough with subtle 80+.
81/81 This is highest stat I can do it in both book
It’s complete overkill, the maximum amount of subtlety you need is 83+ anything more should be put into improving your will up to 70 at least for me.
