Yeah that’s my main Sidestep as well. Enough will to make Carter jump, and enough subtlety to manipulate everyone (specially Chen) in order to keep my telepathy secret.
Be warned, stronger telepathy migh end up being a detriment. There have been several point brought up where Sidestep seems to be inadvertently manipulating those around them if stats are too high. The one I remember off the top of my head is when you’re talking to Steele on his friend/romance path and if your stats hit a certain level he automatically agrees with you. This is why some think we can be ontrack to becoming the new Heartbreak.

But all I wanted with high Subtle Manipulation was to be able to walk out of HG’s lair without any strings attached…(if I attended as myself)

Just don’t shake hands
You can indeed agree to HG without shaking their hand, or you can simply be so arrogant that HG lets you walk out.
Subtle or force stat : 81%, You can shake hand with HG.MC will can see /cut HG’s red thread (If High Force you will can only cut but can’t see HG’s red thread) .But Subtle or force stat : 80% MC still tied by HG’s power .My Subtle/Force stat before meet HG is 81/81
(In Rebirth.My Subtle/Force is 81/80 .but you will can gain 1 point of Force before meet Ranger after robbing Casino in book 2 (If I remember correctly you have to choose " Fraying shield (?)." … something Sorry…I can’t remember all sentence 
) .Well…I play many playthogh in book 2 I can gain only one point If you can gain more ,please tell me haha ).
If You want gain HG approve as allie ,Be friendly, don’t dick to Jake and agree their method. (highest approve I can gain from HG in this book is 34 % )

That’s exactly what I’m aiming for with this variant.
My main step has 76/84 at the end of Rebirth and 79/84 (85 if I unthread Chen) at the end of Retri. I tried with a 80/80 (I’m always keeping my telepathy hidden) and force increases automatically in retri through certain options instead of sub, so I ditched that because I prefer a higher sub (both to cut HG threads and for reasons 
) and 76 force is enough to bypass dumpners, and it’s all I need.
I just hope next book we will can gain more both stat . 
Well…I like balance of both stat. It’s make me feel safe haha

iirc Malin said in the next book we will be able to either raise or lower our force/sub stats, so I’m really looking forward to that. And when it comes to FH there’s not such things as safe

80+ telepathy already feels like a lot, given how much “mobility” you have, so I can’t wait for my boy to become a nuclear bomb in the next book sdfgk. I like the high risk, high reward of big numbers, but I know for a fact it’s going to bite me in the ass… it’s just a matter of how that will go down, but I’m really curious to find out.

Me too. I think that at least, it worthy to try even It have change to destroy ourself in the end but It’s worthy . Don’t worry we will become the great Villian in next book. .Well …That is what I hope haaha 
Mortum has a line about how high powered telepaths warp reality around them that has me super curious how it will play out. Perception determines reality and all that. It’s gonna be a wild ride.

Yeah and isn’t Sidestep also concerned with falling asleep near others because their dreams sort of “bleed” through? Maybe Ortega is safe because of their condition, but if this is true, then who knows what could happen with a higher telepathy gremlin. This game makes me feel really normal, yes.
