@Marethyu I think that’s a general quirk of the choice script. The same thing happens wherever there is a random event. I’ve come across this in Life of Mobster, and discovered it in a few other games too.

So what does being ‘Cursed’ do as far as gameplay is concerned?

Alright, due to the fact that I can’t autotest, and there are some complex systems in Chapter 4, I’ve decided to add it to the demo. I’ll remove it at a later date, but currently the remainder of Chapter 4 has been added.

When my father sent me to get the amulet fortunately I was super stealthy and picked the option to steal the bags of gold and the amulet but apparently you misspelled foot as got so that’s just a tiny problem. I’ll go look to see if there are more now.

I got a game breaking error there shortly after that, although I have to wonder why I couldn’t enchant all the thieves to sleep.

here ya go @Pepper

This game is amazing! Grown alot since I last read it…
Line 904: Non-existent Command ‘got’

Thanxs

line 1031: Non-existent variable ‘murders’

line 1042: It is illegal to fall out of a *choice statement; you must *goto or *finish before the end of the indented block.

Any suggestions on how to make companions worthwhile? At the moment I’m putting in a lot of effort to develop them as characters but I’d also like to make them valuable. I’m not really sure how to implement them in combat, or if I should edit them to make them all non-fighters.

Well I’d give them a skill list, and list options for them to do something when the the companion’s skill list.

Great game, even if it isnt finished.

Glitched when I tried to kill the wolf forest spirit, when I tried to kill the petshop owner, and when I was unable to help the ‘pets’. Thats all I found. Cool game but lots of glitching. Thats pretty normal for a WIP though.

This game matches my username. @Lobo420

Great game, good work!

@Divine_Heretic The main reason there are so many glitches is because I can’t run autotests on my PC. I don’t really know why, but all testing has been done manually.

@Ayzkalyn, have you asked folks to troubleshoot your quicktest/randomtest issues? When I first started trying to run the tests on my WiP, they wouldn’t run at all! It turns out I had changed the name of the mygame file and that was the issue!

@HornHeadFan I’ve sent you a PM.

@Divine_Heretic @adjppm1227 Sorry. The bugs you got were whenever you killed someone when it wasn’t in self defense. It added 1 to a variable called “Murders”, but I forgot to include it in the original startup file.

I had an idea for a fun quest. I think I’m going to include a quest in which you find an art gallery or wall of paintings in an evil wizards castle, and if you look at any of the paintings, you get teleported inside the painting. They would all be different start points, like a battleground or sheep grazing outside a village, but they are all in the same world. So the player goes on a long-ish quest in order to escape the painting and get back to their reality.

@Ayzkalyn

Depending on what you have in mind if you do that quest it could be a really fun way to justify some playful nonsense. What I’m wondering though is how the player would return to their own world. :confused:

Im not too annoyed by the bugs. In fact the only reason I pointed them out was on the off chance that it helped you locate/fix the issue. I really do think its a pretty cool game so far, although I have not reached the end yet.
