Dragon Kin (WIP)

This is more like magic spell arsenal like growth or vinethorn rather than breath power.

Ice breath, fire breath, lightning breath, poison breath is a thing I suppose or acid breath but then again considering the addition of more power it’s equal to more scene, more variation, multiply down the line.

Best to mention author about that see what they think about adding more power, I am just afraid author get overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the story.

This tournament story arc is huge I’ve replayed like 6 time for different outcome, depending of who player meet in first day, depending on what power MC choose there is variation in POV change, there is also variation in day two, the branching is real.

True. Just a thought if author wants to go four elements. Don’t have to. I think the basic lightning, fire, and ice are fine to.

I guess we could always spit mud. Lol. But I’d imagine a dragons ability to manipulate nature would outclass anything a human mage could do.

Could do a solar beam, since we are solar powered. And thus, our dragon becomes a Bulbasaur.

When you are offered the choice of occupation, it specifically mentions that as a hunter you are providing the villagers with food.

Which is why I think hunters should be allowed the option to be carnivores period- They routinely hunt for meat, and becoming a carnivore would just be as simple as the dragon taking some meat home with them instead of selling it all.

Maybe it’s a mana thing, lots of fantasy beasts and monster live off of mana energy alone , maybe we are absorbing solar mana, that’s why we absorb sun light, and moonlight (lesser version of sun aka reflection).

Mana makes sense to me. It seems it’s all about our core as the WIP mentions any food eaten is just dissolved by the core.

My dragon still loves to eat, as it’s all so tasty. Specially desserts.

And I agree a hunter should have the meat option, regardless of cruelty level as it simply is part of their job and thus available.

And now I want a vegetarian cook option for herbalists.

Nothing says scary scary dragon like offering people homemade fruit preserves, a roasted seed snack, or offering to cook a hearty mushroom stew for dinner. lol

Till you meet the one humanoid plant race in the world and suddenly become an apocalyptic event by existing.

I’d love that, since I tend to pick the most “I’m obviously not a dragon” options! LOL!

Technically, being reduced to vegetable isn’t sound nice. But no, it is not that.
[The potentially triggering story below]
Edit: okay, that was unnecessarily detailed, so a long story fast: I had an acquaintance who tried in all seriousness to pull this trick with sun eating and died from it.
It’s obviously a “me” thing, and it’s not a turn off from the very nice game, just… Well. Y’know.

I had thought the Dragon hunter was in the village area when we encounter the bandits, was for two little reasons.

1, The story starts with us already on the run from dragon hunters, so they know aomething is in this area which even though there is a bit of a time skip it makes as good of a starting area as any.

2 ,The Dragon Hunter (Scout, Im sure that is mentioned in the letter) was with the adventure party that happened to have Eves dad. Now it could be coincidence, however I had assumed Eve brought up our eyes and other strange things (ie the super strength) and her dad was curious, maybe was snooping around for what could be like that, and came across the Dragon hunter that way.

I could be entirely wrong, but thats just my head canon to explain why my MC didnt need to hunt, because I love the idea of Dragon mc being a walking Mana vacuum/battery.

Would dryads count as vegetables?

They count as plants, but veggies debatable.

Dryad normally is associated with tree, like her hair is vines, there is flower/flower buds in her head, some portray having barkskin, some portray them having phelloderm skin (the green skin), having photophore or straight out bioluminescence, able to do Mychorrhizal (Mychorrhizal is symbiotic fungus capable of creating network between plants so yeah thry basically can talk and work together via help of this fungus) stuff like communication with other plants, sharing nutrition, etc.

True guardian of nature, Dryad normally walk bipedal like human, the variation that doesn’t move or move very slow is alraune.

If you meet a vampire and interrogate him, you will know that your blood is not just dragon blood.

Really enjoyed the demo! A few grammatical hiccups sprinkled in there, though

Chlorokinesis is an interesting idea. Perhaps they’d breathe a sort of magical gas that causes plant growth. Or perhaps they’d exhale clusters of spores or seeds.

On a related subject, I was wondering about environmental interactions. In DnD, dragons will use their breath weapons to alter their environment in helpful ways, such as setting traps. For example, a white dragon might create a ramp of slippery ice (which they have no problem walking on). Perhaps that might be a neat feature here.

Of course this is all up to the author, and it’s perfectly reasonable for them to not want to make things more complicated.

Do starting choices like power, feather etc matter?

It matter.

Wing choice will affect fighting scene, power type affects power related scene since this determined your dragon affinity.
