Do you think that even the effects of our bite are different from what other zombies do on humans?
If by physical attributes you mean weight, then possibly. If you meant piercings, tattoos, outfits, ect, then yes.
It’s an idea I’m toying around with, but as of right now, there’s nothing concrete planned for how your bite would differ from an ordinary zombie’s.
WAHAHAHAHA. Finally! >:D
Good start. I defintely agree with the previously mentioned additions such as additional hair color options. And I love when a game includes ‘flair’ or ‘flavor’ options such as beards, tattoos, piercings and freckles. As someone who has all of those currently, games that even attempt to throw options like that in catch my eye and go higher up my watch list. If you do include options like that, so try to reference them at least once (preferably more) later in game. It’s great to include them but it loses some of what makes them stand out if they are never mentioned again.
That being said, I know nothing of coding so if that is too daunting then I totally get it. But PLEASE include height and body types. A game like this with such great customization that really makes me excited to play immediately becomes a little…flat if it lacks two of, arguably, the most distinguishing features from person to person. (Again, if implemented, reference later on and maybe a few times. It’s awesome to put down you are a giant in the height department with huge muscles on your stat page, but it’s not at all realistic to think no one is gonna comment on it! I swear if I had a nickel for how many times I’ve been asked how tall I am in my life, I’d have a lot of nickels to be sure!) Hope my ramblings are somewhat beneficial. Keep at it! Best of luck in this, and all your endeavors.
Okay, serious mode:
Wow. First page is really dark…
Second page… is too real, man… needs more fantasy, less realism.
Okay. Overall:
Not a bad start. Well-written. Clear message of what to expect from the game. Gritty atmosphere.
Would recommend you focus more on the story-telling rather than world-building moving forward.
A short demo, but an interesting one nonetheless! The concept of nonhuman MCs is admittedly one of my favorites, so I may be biased when I say that a zombie MC in a zombie apocalypse is a great idea and I’m eager to read more from this project!
I think the customizations are just fine. I think it could be cool to choose where the bite mark will be, but in all honesty this would just be for flair and probably wouldn’t add more to the plot unless you somehow put a spin on why the MC may have a bitemark in a specific place. Maybe, moreso than that, any visual indicators of our character being a zombie that would out them to human characters? (Red eyes, gaunt skin, etc.)
And since this is an apocalypse, it would make more sense to include any disabilities the character has, assuming they retain them as a zombie. Although, even as a zombie I can’t imagine certain disabilities from vanishing, such as missing limbs.
More than anything, I’m more interested in where the story will lead than the customization options. Especially how being a zombie trying to stay among humans will turn out… (angst and fun character interactions, anyone?)
I’ll be keeping my eye on this one!
Hey, good thoughts. I would also like to share about the possibility of having had someone important with us called parents and younger brother, and there is the possibility of making a path to look for even our brother or another loved one.
Although I must add that perhaps we can balance abilities or physical attributes when we become zombies, for example, by default we would have in balance our biological capacities such as our senses (sight, hearing and smell), it would also go the mobility of our body that affects our speed and agility, also strength. and resistance. What I mean is that there is the possibility as a player, if we want the MC to have a better perception, we must choose how many ability points we take away from our MC in the other attributes. You CAN be someone with sensitive senses but a weak zombie to grab your prey or hit humans or be an agile zombie but with the weakness of taking a lot of damage if you get hit.
I’m always down for a zombie game and look forward to playing this one.
I really like your writing style and found it active and engaging. But to be honest, I don’t really care that much about character creation. Like it looks fine and if other people are enjoying it then that’s fantastic. I think I just personally don’t care that much about eye colour, hair colour, skin colour etc. Although I see the worth of including hair length and previous life experience, especially in a survival game. Non of that is a criticism btw, I know lots of people love character creation lol I’m just impatient to get to the action.
But enough of my rambling. I want the next chapter and I’m curious how the bite is going to affect the character. Why don’t I turn? Am I special in some way? Lol I knew it.
Is a very interesting idea, i like it.
It’s rather short but a nice read. I always love reading about zombies. Keep going! You have me interested. I also found this when selecting thug as my job.
Thug job
Thanks to all this, you’ve made a name for yourself in the seedier parts of town.
After this text, there is no question but there is a choice that says yes or no.
I think it’s just asking you to confirm your occupation or not. I answered ‘no’ and it took me back in the job selection screen.
I like the creation Dyed Hair In a zombie Apokalypse yes I’m happy
Colors
They may be simple but it works for me My imagination says it’s A dark blue for example
You can make it more beautiful when you say it’s Navy blue or Something like that but these are luxory problems.
1 thing I would add is what body type do you have
Muscular
Fat
Skinny
Slim
Moderat (normal)
Pale or grayish skin and eyes may also work
The demo was really good so far! The writing’s great, and it’s pretty interesting! You already have a good range of customization options, but if you want, you could add body types, piercings, birthmarks, tattoo’s, etc? Looking forward to seeing more of this game!
Just gonna leave this here so that the author doesn’t have to repeat themselves about character customization.
Add to that your willpower to resist your zombie urges and instincts most of the time.
By the way I clarify that dexterity with this term: The term skill, from the Latin dextra (“right”), is used to name the ability with which a person satisfactorily carries out a task or work, generally linked to the body and with manual trades. Thus, people who demonstrate dexterity are called right-handed.
In general terms, when it is said that a person is right-handed, it refers to having good physical abilities, is resistant, agile or talented in handling the body.
It is also possible to speak of “mental dexterity”, which would be a kind of metaphorical use of the term, to indicate that a person uses his talents or mental dexterity in a way comparable to how an athlete or a person does with his body. agile, strong, etc.
And resistance includes the ability to resist the putrefaction of our zombie body in the face of the environment and better withstand climates such as heat or rain along with resistance to the damage that a human.
Sounds interesting how do you mean help infected
You’ll have the option to gather infected throughout the game, which you can use for multiple things ranging from just keeping them alive to building your own person horde to rain down destruction upon your enemies.
