Community College Hero: Releasing Soon

I would like the option to not have any extra touches for the costume.

I can’t speak for the author, but since we play as a teenage civilian I doubt we would have either the money or the means needed in order to acquire Kevlar(or anything beyond a basic costume).

seconded. especially if you pick to have a sweatshirt as your “costume” it just doesn’t always add up(to me at least)

Thirded. Hoodie, jeans, aaaaaaaaand a cape cause that’s how we roll. No but seriously being able to choose no extra touches would be great, unless you also get the option of sporting some awesome sneakers as a finishing touch then that would be dope.

Greetings Programs!
I also agree as being a teenager u wouldn’t be able to afford Kevlar unless u were rich or something. Also most teenagers don’t have jobs or if they do don’t make much money. I cannot wait for beta! Keep up the good work @HornHeadFan!!

what if it was given the the MC as a gift from the school for being a good student or something?

Take life jacket paint it black and it looks like a kevlar body armor… kinda…

Armor (including leather or kevlar) affects your Thud and is only available through equipment upgrades, not the character creation/costume choices.

So that means we can get kevlar armor…is it available for all the archetypes or only a certain number of them?

I miss twisted metal…

If everyone helps me to catch every little typo, spacing error, punctuation error, etc in beta, I’ll be very liberal with adding more costume options

@Dark_Stalker
I’m not sure what you’re referring to… I was quoting the Rolling Stones - Paint it Black.

I know ,it was the opening song (instrumental)for twisted metal black first time I heard it.

Greetings Programs!
So exactly when will the beta be?

Alright guys, you heard the boss…Let’s find those errors

At the end of the present game, shouldn’t there really be an option to follow Contrarian to get info on her? Even if the PC isn’t particularly stealthy, Origami’s powers lead to good stealth options.

@HornHeadFan I’m trying to find some typos and stuff but I don’t think I should be doing it since english is not my native language, but anyway I tried…so sorry for if I didn’t really find a mistake.

At the beginning when we are supposed to choose our personality if we want to be a brooder or a jokster…there is a sentence which says :

Of course, no one characteristic can really entirely define a person

Shouldn’t it be no one’s characteristics or something?

Also at the part before the Capture The Flag when we are supposed to describe the powers, when Tress describes hers there is a sentence:

She flips her head back, and within seconds her hair retracts to his normal shoulder length

Shouldn’t it be retracts her hair to HER normal shoulder length or ITS ?

And at the part where Stunner says he has met Mega Cat when I decide to punch him after asking why he is wearing a helmet…the other day he still says what’s up and shows the MC the new weightlifting routine as if they had trained together the other day.

I didn’t know how to explain this so I just took a pic.Shouldn’t you add a full stop or split them or something?

Although I have a strange feeling someone already asked; does the power you choose to wish for affect the game in any way (You know, Invisibility, Super Strength, Flight)? Or is it just there for the story?

@stsword, the immediate aftermath will be discussed in more detail in the next scene including the fallout from what happened.

@Drini7, thanks for the editing help!! I’m trying to avoid the costs for an editor so every little nitpicky observation is great!

@Jaxx, right now it’s just a fake choice but I might make it a real choice and assign a variable now that you mention it, because you never know if that desire may become relevant down the road.

Okay, my call for help!!

I’m struggling mightily with balancing the progressing stats/math for combat scenes. If any math-centric person will volunteer their time and brain, it would help me greatly.

Basically I still need to figure out the different results through the game and how they will vary based on a player’s strategies of either 1) shoring up their weakness, 2) creating a jack of all trades type, or 3) funneling everything into their strengths. At this stage, virtually all tasks can be successfully completed by just going with your AT’s best stats, and that is admittedly pretty boring. I need to make the player strategy choices have an impact!!

If anyone is interested, PM me and I will reply tonight or tomorrow with more details. This is embarrassing because I am a math person but even my wife (an accountant) is somewhat stumped.
