west is 16 year old centuries vampire and a viking to boot he would easily destroy chaime carlos no offense

Yeah I think that’s less to do with the power of crosses than West’s brute strength. But Father Charles and Memeskia do manage to take him down eventually.

the only reason they managed to get the drop him because they work together or the mc distract west long enough for chaime carlos to smash his silver maul onto west head

had he was alone and unbothered by the others he would have easily destroy him

True enough. Although Memeskia can kill him on his own, particularly if our good selves have managed to soften him before hand.

My theory has always been that Jackson ā€œfound redemptionā€ under Memphis, and was a vampire who turned himself human.

Memeskia can’t kill west on his own he need the tribune to atleast weakened him and that still get him killed if the mc combat stat were average at best

I was about to bring him up :exclamation: The way Lesczynski talks him up is kind of strange. As is he were more than a man…

My comment had more context than that. But if we go by who’s older I agree with you.

I like this theory but we have to define this ā€œredemptionā€.

I quite like that idea and makes sense considering what Lynsnski (I can’t remember how to spell it) tells us. Makes us wonder about his attempted assassination and how his would be murderer claims to be Richard III and Jackson his bookkeeper. Very Shakespearean view of old Richard Gloucester I must say.

@CaballeroDeAndromeda And thinking about it, he coughs up a lot of blood at the party! Which is what a vampire with strong willpower does when they eat small bits of food! This is an exciting thread of thought.

I just phrased it like that because a high perception MC who finds the chamber under Memphis says someone ā€œfound redemptionā€.

my theory is that he fiercely dislike abolitionists and he support southren postmasters which gave them discretionary power to either send or detain anti slavery tracts

another one is that he is a freemason and that chamber has something to do with it

no the reason he cough blood because he suffered lung injury

This is fascinating. Since you bring up the masons @Canix, there’s a small bit of code I found about how we can actually join the Masons Lodge in Memphis, has anyone ever managed to do it? This of course assumes one’s already been admitted to the order in the first part of the game and is white and all the rest of it.

@Canix Yeah I know that of course. But if we followed the theory that he was a vampire that at some point turned to man, it’s an interesting correlation where he passes off the coughing up blood as from being wounded but is actually caused by his vampirism as a vampire can cough up blood, especially if they’ve tried to eat and drink. In other words, the injury, is a cover story.

during the memphis no you can’t join but you meet several members of the mason

General andrew pike

KKK founder nathan Bedford forest

and senate canditate absalom pickering

while in new orleans it’s andrew jackson which is why he know about the mc is a vampire because of his affliation with the mason

That’s all true and like you I’ve seen all that. As well as being able to join from Jesse if our relations are high enough too. There is a line in the code though, about actually being able to join the lodge itself. I shall delve once more into the depths and see if I can find out how to do it.

Edit:

That would be another explanation, wouldn’t it? We are really going off loose hints for a game that hasn’t yet been completed and is still going over some revision.

I know this too. But I’ll see what I can find.

Perhaps someone might know how to join the mortal ledge, but I’ll certainly write back to this comment section if I find out how to do it.

you can join through guillaume if he is your dominus

jesse is a mason ?

Yeah he is. Usually, he’ll give a hand signal to the character if one’s a member at the end of the first pre caucus reception. And, if we’re friendly enough with him, and we go exploring the town after the first caucus, as opposed to going to the opera house, he offers to admit us to the order. Previously I’ve been able to do that with the Dutchman as the Dominus too, so it’s not exclusive to the Frenchman, even if he’s the only one of the Domini to admit us personally.

Is Agility 3, Strength 4 and Fighting 1 plus a weapon enough for Memeskia to survive against West?

Agility 3, Strength 4 and Fighting 2

Yes, though I think you would need some west_downfall

Wouldn’t a weapon or hired help make up for the one point lacking in Fighting?
Stat increases are hard to come by in Choice of the Vampire. My character still can’t read because there’s always something else I’d rather add another point to.
