Children of the Gods (Important poll #12306)

Hey, I need my sugary endings to help counter the grimdark stuff that my mind creates

Also, I tend to aim for the endings that are so sweet they can give you diabetes

Which reminds me… Is Aeson an RO regardless of paternity? Or is he even an RO?

He is and considering that blood relations between demigods only exist when they have the same mortal parent, the father doesn’t matter.

Oh… Kewl. But didn’t Helen regard Athena and Aphrodite as her sisters? Or is it because they’re goddesses?

@Ridaxus, same. Though this usually depends on how angsty/dark/bittersweet the thing is? Like if it’s fluffy there’s a chance I’ll look for the angstiest thing about it, and vice versa.

In this case though, main MC is going to get the happiest and fluffiest ending possible (after blood sweat and tears of trying to achieve it) --> though this might be difficult because Aeson as an RO is looking pretty good right now

And my other MC’s (I call them the AU protagonists)…depends which one :)) there’s one that’s probably going to get a very bittersweet one at the rate she’s going

@iota_moon005, they might not be. Sister/Brother is apparently the closest word to describe the pantheon’s relationship with one another, but not very accurate apparently.

Because straddling someone’s neck and dragging a sharp object across their windpipe is COMPLETELY self defense.

Normally I’d place blame on the the story’s narrative conventions, but in that sort of moment with adrenaline pumping through you, taking a third option to nonlethally subdue him I can understand as not being within the realm of possibility.

At the end of that scenario, control of the situation is in your hands, and that’s the point where it no longer becomes self defense. You can choose to kill him yourself, thus committing murder, or spare him. He’s not the only seeker after you, and killing him won’t solve the larger issue of an organization targeting the MC.

Hmm… Well I guess at the end of the day it wouldn’t matter because in the realm of the gods things like being siblings have nothing to do with the possibility of getting together? Haha okay okay

They are gods there is no dna involved there is not incest at all. Sisters are just a word mundane to describe that to gods mixture their soul, there is no blood or flesh needed. So no immoral stuff all gods are family.

He was trying to kill you, he wasnt unconcious and there was nothing to stop him when you turn your back to him to try again.
The PC was being chased and in a distraught state, no one would charge the PC of murder. It would be considered self-defense.

Okay. That makes a lot of sense. Thanks. I was about to reply with just “Ohana means family and family means no one gets left behind” because lunch room clans are so cute.

I think Hades would be subtly whispering to each gods’ ear, egging the disagreement on and making it more chaotic

I can tell you with certainy that at least in my country MC could (and probably would) be charged with murder. Because in that moment they chose to go with deadly force, in a situation in which the actual threat was subdued.
There exist situations in which self-defense can end deadly, normaly not intended by the person that defended themself, and often without knowledge that their action could lead to the death of the attacker. This was not such a situation.

Well I am with you even if legally is not self defense In the moment he is helpless self defense stops legally speaking. However, the situation were you are attacked first ajd repeatedly the law is benign because in the heat of the moment and with your live in peril, that attack is I understandable. In some countries is even lightly punished in my country is about 3 or 5 years in jail

The attacker wasnt subdued, there was nothing to restrain him.

The MC was armed in one way or another and had the advantage over him. It’d be like a soldier executing an disarmed combatant. Justifiable? Yes. But you can be sure your lack of mercy is noted. Especially considering the Seekers were originally supposed to bring you in.

If there’s no DNA involved tho, why the Demigods look like their God parents? And all children by the same God, like Zeus’ children for example, have the same physical features.

I feel like killing the seeker at that point goes a bit too close to the whole “kill them before they can threaten me again in the future” idea.

“Every time someone tries to stop a war before it starts, innocent people die. Every time.”

There are other ways to make sure your enemy doesn’t threaten you again.

Has the dad thing been fixed or is it still where it won’t tell you who your dad is somtimes cause the only one that iv been told that my dad is is posideon has that been fixed because other times its just like it’s you you are my father and then it won’t let me ask question or see.

However like there was no other soul there to tell the truth my characters would say that it was self defense ajd the guy wasn’t helpless and defeated. What they would do jail the Master of universe?

Part of their souls pass to you so you adopt part of their look but remember they could change apparience and you not normally so it is just an imitation stuff. Also this is a game not science is like try to explain religion with maths.
