Because they don’t know about the gods. They will know about them as soon as the war/ second titanomachy starts, but by now they don’t know.
But that has been going on for hundreds of years. And there is so many Demigods with the WiFi, so they have connection with their family. Wouldn’t at least one of them be angry at Gods and help humans who can be victims of God’s actions?
And one person yelling “Hey gods exist! Let’s fight them!” would not end up in a sanatorium, because…?
They could send something like photos, maybe? Or any kind of proof of Gods existence? I mean, we have science and technologies, and children just disappearing from this world and their parent telling that they are in school that doesn’t exist in human world would be way too suspicious, right? Or they just all powerful and can make us forget everything?
It looks like this is due to a coding error.
*if dad1 = true Uncle Henry, my father...he took a part in both our conceptions? *if dad1 = true Uncle Henry...he's the Bestowers father?
@Rohie, I assume the second one should be “if dad1 = false”?
They’re gods. They can and routinely will manipulate mortal minds.
And this is the digital age. I’d argue they hardly have to do anything for someone to call out “Photoshopp’d!”
They are all powerfull, that’s why they are called Gods.
Wouldn’t Demigods themselves be a proof? They can do a little bit of magic, right? Or wouldn’t there be a God kind enough to do that?
Just because they can do magic doesn’t mean there aren’t safeguards in place to prevent mortals at large from figuring things out. Rick Riordan gave us the veil, so I operate under the same assumption that there’s something clouding Mortal’s minds.
But otherwise? There’s no way a demigod is stupid enough to try something in public. And there are enough of them that they can police themselves, if need be.
That sounds really horrible. Then why hating Gods and killing Seeker (a criminal by human standarts) considered immoral in game? Murder is immoral of course, but it could be something like self-defense (they weren’t going to stop following the MC)
Hating the gods and wanting nothing to do with them isn’t considered immoral (At least, I haven’t noticed a hit on my characters). Killing a seeker, though? There’s a difference between self defense and outright murder, and in that case the Seeker was pacified to the point where he posed no threat other than one that the MC couldn’t solve by killing one Seeker. In fact, the seekers became even MORE zealous on learning of his death, thinking you did it (Regardless of whether you did or not), so the problem gets compounded even moreso by malicious intent.
Had that encounter not happened? The MC probably would have had a lot more leeway to run.
And it’s not really magic they can do. They have an affinity to the domain of their godly parent and can influence it. That’s different from what the MC can do or what real magicians can do.
And it’s immoral because at the point at which MC kills the Seeker, he already was no longer a threat. It’s only as long self-defence as the force that was used was really needed. The Seeker was at MCs mercy, at that point MC could have used the chance to flee, or use a not 100% deadly way to take him out.
Then would all this make killing Gods in the end (if it will be possible) a good thing to do? Or do something like Zeus did with Athena? I mean imprison them
That’s up to you, to decide. That’s why Cogs are awesome!. Sometimes a character could thing gods are good, others a sin or a necessary evil. My main would wipe out all of them with no remorse. But there is not really a good or bad choice itself is related to what your character believes.
That’s really interesting. It would be great to imprison them forever too though. Death is way too easy for kidnapping someone and then making kids fight to death
Imprisonment doesn’t work lol, look at Titans each thousands years only they escape and BOOM TITANS WAR BLOODY APPOCALYPSE!! Imagine having to suffer the gods war each x years for all the eternity
Oh man, I just thought of a bitter sweet ending that I’m falling in love with. After gaining the full power of the essence, the MC creates an exact duplicate of himself (and maybe Aeson depending on there relationship) to live a normal life (relatively speaking) with his friends and loved ones while the Bestower and Bearer either continue the cycle or use their immortality to travel and create a better world
Of course it is self-defense. The guy was trying to murder you, there is no way to know he is not going to try again.
But if we will be immortal then we will be much more powerful than them and we can build a prison for them. But yeah, it will be easier to kill them
Aggghh too much sugar rainbow: dramatic roll of eyes: Sarcastic laugh It is ok, always I don’t end with that ending if that happens I would end pissed lol.
