Children of the Gods (Important poll #12306)

Yeap, I know. But do what you can with what you’ve got!

By choosing to make a Bearer from Sparta, you can give the player the possibility to choose a gender during the flashback and still make it kinda historically believable.

I mean in Sparta women where slithtly more educated than in the rest of the geek cities. And they could own land and inherit. Also, our character is the bearer. Perhaps our very nature kinda gives us more influence than we would have if we were just human.
I love your theory on Priscilla being a sorcerer O: if anything, what if she’s Circe? Medea? Agamede? Maybe descended from one of them? Makes it extra interesting because she’s somehow in the Underworld? On one hand: Tartarus, and on the other there’s the Elysium – what if she’s waiting to be reborn?

I’m not sure about Saint being Zeus’ biological kid either. Time will tell >:C
Poseidon though as dad: mUST AGREE HE’S A GREAT DAD OH MY GOD AND if you choose to forgive him, his stat bar says: he thinks you can be a true hero

Maybe it’s my sentimentality speaking but very nostalgic of Disney’s Hercules in a way.

Also. Do you think Amphitrite will make an appearance? She’s pretty low-key compared to Persephone and Hera (mythos wise at least)

It’d be…interesting to see how possible step-mom’s actually react to MC :))

Well, our historical law professor explained into detail how Spartan woman couldn’t inherit . Sparta had a communist lands system, really bizarre each younger Spartan received a part of the communal lands administrated by helots and return to the community where they died, family and one success bring more or less land . Women was not really acknowledge until babies time and the lands were given to them were considered like almost husband or if widow as babies. Only priests or monarchy daughters have provided with real lands. Anyways, far better than the rest of Greece… An Spartan woman had the right to go nude for the streets and practice nude all sports she wants . Also the right to defend themselves against any man who try to rape her to force a marriage , If she killed the rapist she was considered a hero, a real Spartan. In the rest of Greece death punishment. Yeah, old Greece was only great for fat man

Perk of being the Bearer: You emit pheromones that make you seem more important as you are, thus leading peole to take you more serious and in the long run leading to you becoming actually important!

@squarelyblue Well, we know someone put a blocker on MC’s powers, and I say it was her, for by now unknown reasons. Also, it would be an explenation for her fame on Olympus…and the ambiguous answers we got about her.

And like I said, I’m really torn, because I personally think that the way it by now decides the father is not balanced and as we saw prone to bugs. But I also know that the stats I normally play with would give my character Hades as father if not for that one decision, what I really wanted before the update, but no longer now after we meet Poseidon :anguished: So I’m torn, don’t take daddy Poseidon from my poor and sad and very stressed MC

Not sure about Amphitrite (had to google her first, but my knowledge about mythology is limited to the one summer I read everything I could find about it, but that was years ago and my memory isn’t always the best). It would be nice for MC to get a potential step-mother all together to a father. But otherwise it would also be nice to have at least one father that MC doesn’t have to call out/question for adultery. (Mostly looking on Zeus here…, though I’m interested how Persephone will take yet another child to adopt)

That was a really interesting update!

I think most of the bugs/continuity errors have already been listed, but here are the ones I encountered in my playthroughs:

 1. Double dads (Poseidon and Zeus, with Poseidon being the first) when I didn’t kill the Seeker, and with the stats Moral: 65%, Allure: 42%, Strength: 50%, Wit: 64%, Stress: 60%.
 2. Deciding to go back to the dorm to prepare for class after Aeson collapses, getting the Eye from the old lady, then immediately cutting to after class with Athena asking why we skipped.
 3. Deciding to trail the Healers after Aeson collapses, and the scene proceeds normally until after the list of questions we can ask him. Then Aeson puts his head to the door and says he can’t believe Athena actually left, and the scene proceeds as though Athena had fetched us (most obviously with her saying “I told you there was more to today” when we hadn’t even spoken to her yet).

I haven’t really experimented yet, but with the two-dads glitch I can compare Poseidon and Zeus’ answers to the same question. I had been hoping for Hades, but I must say the idea of Poseidon being MC’s father is growing on me. When you can see their responses one after the other, Zeus really comes off as emotionally distant compared to Poseidon.

I do like Hades as a dad because look at all that delicious drama. BUT AT THE SAME TIME, LOOK AT HOW GREAT POSEIDON IS AS A DAD ;A;

I’m hoping there’s at least another chance for father/daughter bonding time because you know :))

(I will probably never recover with how nice he is as a father – at least off the bat – like this is the dad my MC needs right now)

Since there’s a specific group of kids that are specifically his in the lunch scene, Poseidon at least has enough past relationships to give these kids a table? If Amphitrite isn’t in Rohie’s universe, then MC still has to deal with not-quite-siblings too? Probably wouldn’t be touched on too much in story (all things considered) but in terms of family related feelings, possibly a fanfic point?

@Rohie I spotted an error in the code.
Both Poseidon and Zeus have the variable dad2, you need to change one of them to dad3.

I wonder if Demigods ever have the “My dad could beat up your dad” argument

Probably, I mean, Zeus and Poseidon are infamous for getting into arguments.

“Mother Rhea loved you more.”
“Air disasters are more spectacular than sea disasters.”

I have 65 of immorality. I want to be on the neutral side.

I was about to report the double dad thing. Yes it was so sweet the dad/daughter event. I really wanted to give it a chance. Then Aeson! And the intertwined soul!
Anyway I saw this typo:

And I’m not sure if you intended to write this, but I thought you mean’t c’mon. Correct me if I’m wrong:

So other than that, LOVED THE UPDATE! I really cannot wait for the actual thing. Have i told you that i also really love that fade-in effect? Really nice. I just noticed that Calypso, Saint, and Adonis had less air time (If I can call it that) in the later chapters. I mean, that’s all cool, but I just wanted to point it out haha. Okay Im’ma go bother other people now. THANKS!

I WOULD READ THE SHIZZLES OUT OF THAT O:

Hades would probably be the guy sitting in the back going “but it’s none of my business” whilst drinking tea though.

Imagine demigods calling another Oedipus/Jocasta as a form of insult :stuck_out_tongue:

Mine’s 70% of immorality. I wanted to get it higher but than my citizen stat would be under 50… I need people to love me or at least see me in good light so it would be easier to manipulate them :smiling_imp:

56 citizens, It is so sad we can’t lie to anyone at all . Only Aeson have Lie powers  we have to be honests about everything lol. Not a middle option about it.

Love the game so far and i just signed up so i can ask about it. I finished my second playthrough and I have so many questions. Some questions are quite stupid, I guess, and maybe I missed something in the game or it was already answered, but I hope it’s ok to ask

 1. How much humanity actually knows about Gods? Is there general opinion about them in the game?
 2. Is it not illegal for Gods to send Demigods to stalk and kidnap the MC and then hold them on Olympus against their will (since we have an option to hate them)? I mean, is there some kind of law for the relations between Gods and humans? Or Gods can do whatever they want and humans (or even Demigods) are absolutely powerless against them? Demigods also have human parents, i don’t think there is a lot of people who are ready to let their child to go to school where they fight to death? Can Demigods refuse to go there?
 3. Since the Bestower gives the Essence to the Bearer, does it mean that after transfering it the Bestower can’t use it anymore? Will Aeson lose his powers, since Demigods don’t have magic (or Essence)? Probably not, right? If he dies when the Bearer dies it means they are still connected and he has Essense in him if it eventually kills him?
 4. Will there be option to use guns?

Gods are gods, and they are greek they could do whatever in whoever and have sex with animals. If you read the intro about how Ares provoked a ultra bloody war in his last tantrum… They just didnt care abaut HOW we be rescued and some gods are against us and send zombies hearthless seekers. If gods let mortals put laws on them they won’t be gods lol, they would-be glorified immortal butlers.

But wouldn’t humans get tired of this? After everything humanity accomplished, would they really just let it be like this? Let Gods do whatever they want? Then everyone must hate them

Yeah, and you will do what against something immortal who can wipe all your mind and make yourself kill your own childrens… Gods are not mortals they control damn universe. Ares to Putin launch all your nuclear weapons… game over. Also normal humans are unaware of who gods are up there

Why would humans in the modern world hate each other when there is Gods? There has to be something they can do. Wasn’t there a myth about mortal woman who defeated Athena?
And Demigods have parents, so at least they know that there is Gods, right?
