Children of the Gods (Important poll #12306)

Ask this talk of Saint being out brother on our Mom’s side, and Aeson possibly being your brother on your Dad’s if your the child of Hades.

What if they’re both your brothers? That would make things interesting.

@River Well I was talking about Priscilla, but id appreciate the info, anyway.

@Edgewen In my experience time only makes the screams louder. But I have to agree, tables will be flipped if she thinks shes just ganna waltz back into Nyx’s life!

Considering Aeson is an RO… I highly doubt he’s the MC’s sibling.

True, but there’s a difference between talking about myths and theories surrounding them and talking about the story’s interpretation of one established character (the Greek gods) and an original character (Priscilla). And I personally don’t really like the idea of the MC being child of rape, especially if we’re supposed to sympathize with the gods.

But you are right that I need to curb myself in constantly referencing greek myths since how they are now might not be accurate or the same in 10 years like you said. And the Universe Rohie is making isn’t exactly the same as ours and I shouldn’t make so many assumptions.

For my MC the breakdown would nicely translate like

Does anybody wonder too about the mortal families of the other demigods, after all the talk about MC’s mother? Were all the demigods just kidnapped, or what?

It would make things awkward.

@Lithophene they would be related through their godly parent, what pretty much means forget about genetics, it’s majicks! So, no incest.

It’s not incest if there’s no DNA connecting the two!
So Aeson could still be a RO!

Edit: Autocorrect hates Aeson.

I realize the situation is a bit different, but I had a biological parent enter my life after someone else already raised me and try to “Parent.” It was patronizing, it was infuriating, and it ended up setting my parent back several years in terms of reconnecting.

It hits a bit close to home, is all. Regardless of whether or not Athena kidnapped us, she did STILL raise us, and its not like she tried to indoctrinate us. It could be some huge, elaborate scheme to get us on her side, but she DID give us the chance at a normal life.

…Which my Mia desperately wants to go back to, bee-tee-dubs.

I’m sorry if I seemed harsh; that was not my intent. I actually agree with you 100% in your analysis (and distaste of rape) but @Rohie is influenced by Percy Jackson and so her ideas and the “classical” interpretation don’t always align.

Also, I’m wrestling with coding on my own WiP so I’m grumpypants atm.

Or did she??? :scream:

I don’t see why the other demi-gods wouldn’t want to go Olympus.Apparently they can still talk to their families.
I mean they get to be who they are, without having to hide the strengh or the magic! They experience something great, get a premium education, an all that without the threat of being killed like our MC.

And if they don’t want to, considering the current situation and upcoming war, they won’t be given a choice!
Think of it like military service for the reluctant demi-gods!

Dun, dun, DUN!

Depends on how young they were as they came to Olympus and how frequent they are aloud to see their mortal family. It can be very confusing for a young child to be thrown in a new environmet far away from what they see as family.

But should most parents of demigods be treated with some kind of fame, I wonder if they are allowed to watch the trials. Maybe be they are at the ceremony?

…And is the mother of the Bestower as famous as the mother of the Bearer?

Forreal, what if her confession was just to get the MC’s trust back and use them. My MC trusts no one.

Oh my god, I just realized that if Hades is the MC’s father and Aeson’s father, he cheated TWICE…

I assume that the other demi-gods joined Olympus at teenagehood. Like our MC was supposed to.

Pls no, once is enough.
Let Zeus or Poseidon or Apollo or anyone else be his baby daddy.
Or any of the Goddesses be his baby mama.

Took you long enough…

I hope Persephone understood that Hades did not want Priscilla and that he would only fulfill his duty. I’m sure it still hurt, but I don’t want her to think Hades chose to do that.

I never really thought about his mother before. I don’t know why but I always imagined Persephone raised him so I didn’t linger on it.

Oh maybe Aeson’s mortal mother had some “accident” and Persephone adopted him, and that’s why he is so dramatic… (Bad Persephone, that is really evil) :imp:

Edit: wow first time for me on the forum to not be able to like anything anymore.
