Sounds good. I’m not sure I’ll be able to use ESPer or not as I just googled it and someones written a whole book on “ESPers”. Alien lifeforms with psi powers I feel so unlucky at choosing a name for this WiP…
Wow, that sucks… Why don’t you try to come up with a new word to name your kind of “ESPers”?
I know hey… thanks I’ll have to do some brain storming and see if I can come up with something unique
How about “Gifted Amongst The Immune”?
Does it sound ok? I feel like it goes with the storyline theme.
What about " a mindful gift"?
Deadly Gift? Sorry but only destruction is in my head.
Further to this, I was watching a youtube video the other day on the evolution of British and American English. Turns out ‘realize’ was the original spelling, then it got swapped for an S at some point, and the Webster of the Merriam & Webster dictionary popular in the US reverted to the original.
The video for those interested: https://youtu.be/ztGYZlI3QYk
@LordOfLA you’re right. Although, my preference is “realise” over “realize”.
Realise vs. realize
Realise and realize are different spellings of the same word, and both are used to varying degrees throughout the English-speaking world. Realize is the preferred spelling in American and Canadian English, and realise is preferred outside North America. The spelling distinction extends to all derivatives of the verb, including realised/realized, realising/realizing, and realisation/realization.
Although realize is now regarded by many in the U.K. and Australasia as the American spelling, it is not an Americanism. In fact, the -ize spelling variant is older than -ise—realize predates the United States and Canada by nearly two centuries—and has been the preferred spelling throughout most of the word’s history in English.

There’s more on that in the link. Just food for thought on writing.
Sheds a tear my grammer teacher would be so proud
But in all honesty im fine with british or 'murican spelling as long as I can understand it.
@Abyss. That’s okay, any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I looked up Deadly Gift… it’s a book already. (The Flynn Brothers Trilogy Book 3)
name taken
@faewkless thank you for the suggestion. Except name is also used for a business that caters to “…people with dementia and older people…”
Lol. I probably had better grammar than some of my English teachers back in the day.
How about “a gifted mentality” or “gifted at birth” also “a gift of apocalyptic proportions” because you are gifted and its post apocalypse.
Great ideas @faewkless I’ll keep them in mind
How about “ESPecialists” (interpreted as ESP Specialists)?
It’s not as hard as you think, I went years without knowing about Fallout, but I would sit up all night playing The Elder Scrolls.
What about “Rise of the Gifted”? I haven’t played the game yet, but it’s a title that’s decent sounding, and isn’t even remotely used elsewhere (to my knowledge or Google’s)
Thank you @TechDragon610 for your input. You’ve given me a bit of an idea for a title. I do like your title too. I’ll have to get an update out soon so maybe wait until I’ve got that one out before having a read. It’ll have more in it than whats currently posted up.
No problem, I’m tracking the topic, so as long as you post about the update I should be able to time it. Naming games is hard, I don’t even want to post my WIP until I can verify that the game could work.
Update: name verified, I’m all set once the first two chapters are ready
No worries, good luck with your WIP too
I’ve really enjoyed the demo, I liked the unlockable powers too
If I can just offer some feedback, there’s some minor spelling errors and misplaced words, I’d recommend putting it through some spell checking program
I can’t wait to see the rest of it
Thanks, yeah no worries. I’ll have to do that some time. I’m halfway through writing in parts for age 10. I’m guessing it’ll be another week or two before I update the link, instead of just posting bits and pieces.
