Nah, just make the flavor text reflect the fighting styles. The MC is a powerful vampire and should be a force to be reckoned with, even if they eventually lose. Just have them fight differently depending on the weapon. Wulfric’s fangs would be close, quick strikes with lots of dodging and possibly grappling. Almost zero parrying. Swords would have more parrying and would stay more at a distance because they have the reach. And so on.
Then maybe it shouldn’t be an option at all. The MC can talk about having it, but if they wouldn’t use it, don’t give us a greyed out option suggesting they could. Idk, I don’t know enough about the story, but I’m basing this from a gameplay perspective.
Cool, so I came to the conclusion of rewriting the entire prologue but this time it will start few hrs before facing Luce (that way the story will showcase MC being powerful and a force to be reckoned with like you mentioned). It shows the real reason why mc was already tired. (It was not because MC was fighting Luce.
Or I jump the scene where mc close to dying (But that one will have very little word count)
At least this way it won’t dilute the story and Luce’s capabilities of being able to dispose the vampire lord

it’s not abandoned, been rewriting the prologue and I’m 10k words in but I’m hardly halfway through. This new version takes place 2hrs before the old version. I can update what I have but there’s not enough content in terms of choices.
Gonna post the prologue soon, just got to finish this one scene where mc fights against military men in some room and the brief conversation with Luce. Oh and also the fighting techniques for the new scythe weapon:fire:
And then, once we done there, I can finally move on with the story😭I have so much that I want to extract from my brain and put on these folders!!!
At the new version of the prologue, unfortunately that won’t be possible. But along the chapters all I can say is it depends whether or not your mc can defeat Francis
