A Sensei's Story

In my defence…

But in all seriousness, I kind of like not starting directly with you just looking at the website. Plus I like jumping spiders.

Thank you very much for your kind feedback. Sorry that there’s no special boss ending.

I’m half Japanese and I thoroughly enjoyed the demo. I love the name Don Oyakodon and I lol’d when I read that. I Would love to see the MC’s face when he figures out ¥230,000 isn’t much at all. Good luck with the story.

Thanks! Take care.

Ohayou/Konnichiwa/Konbanwa dear RanDomness, this is a great game for which I have too many compliments to type at 3:33am.

There are some trivial typos and other mistakes here and there—nothing very significant, or to put it more precisely, nothing that keeps me awake at night, except for one—if we didn’t meet Yudai in the elevator, then later he would introduce himself as a 21-year-old (while if we did then, he wouldn’t give that detail when we were introduced by the principal). But should we opt to engage him when given the option to choose whom to approach the second time during the dinner, he’d be described as a 23-year-old, in the first sentence of the second paragraph after making the choice.

The 23-year-old quickly goes on to tell you about his unabashed love for homemade arts and crafts

I know teaching kids English can be quite fatiguing and time-consuming, most likely more so in Japan, but certainly that’s too much for a day.

Also, by the way, I really enjoyed the puns and funny names. But I couldn’t quite figure out the meaning of one—again it’s our dear Yudai—I found his family name Tsudei most curious; I couldn’t find any Japanese name with that spelling that makes sense, even after trying a few possible variations.

Hold on, it can’t (in British accent) be that you decided to name him after “today” pronounced in an unforgivably Japanese-accented way. If that’s the case I shall not speak to you again. Off to bed, sayounara.

Hi. Thanks very much for the feedback. Yeah I fixed the age anomaly in the last updated version.
Been finding far too many typos. Can’t believe I made so many.
You also hit the head on the nail with Yudai’s name. I guess this is goodbye…forever. sniff

I would love to have a save option because I was pretty far into the story when I exited for a couple hours and the page reloaded and I had to start from the beginning again.

I’m giggling while playing through this- I love your humor.

Also should have google translated first before speaking french to anne lise. Whoops!

Yeah, sorry about that. I’m still struggling to implement it properly on the website.

Lol. Thanks!

Hey, great story!
But I was wondering if you were going to post ROs. Most are obvious. But what about the principals daughter? Yua I think her name was?

I’d like this too.

I’m under the impression Yudai was one but if he is I must have messed something up because the best I got was us becoming close friends :stuck_out_tongue:

Also had thought Philip was one up until the second half of the game and then found out he was married.

He is romanceable. Here is how.

You must be female and choose to focus on getting to know him at the party after your first day of work (you can sit next to anyone though). Then choose to walk home with him and invite him to your apartment. The rest takes care of itself.

Okay, so…

I absolutely adore the style of humor in this game. Very self-effacing and reminds me of Lemony Snickett.

However…some of the interactions and descriptions leaned a little bit towards the racially insensitive side for me. I cringed at some of the jokes and was actually very uncomfortable with Ichinose’s depiction (until he knowingly admitted he’s a caricature).

I think you should try to done that down a little bit, because, to the wrong eyes, it could come across as blatantly racist, rather than just toeing the line of racial insensitivity for a few good jokes.

That being said, I would also advise changing the stats screen. Put the Japanese alphabet(s) in a separate page on the stats screen.

Thanks for the feedback.
I plan to put a warning about that and other themes at the start. I can also adjust some parts as well.

Will you be be adding a save system?
