Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven -- set for release 10/28/16

will there be a walkthru later on like with the original? or would that be too difficult with all the branching?

Don’t worry.

In my opinion, this game was perfectly made for mini maxing (especially with the whole 50 Bonus Skill points thing)

Whether from Jim or someone on the forum, there’s BOUND to be a walkthrough on it…eventually.

Wait… you were kind to two people and they ended up stealing your stuff?

Ya, I been there too. My character got so mad in the game she broke her foot. (she was throwing a temper-tantrum) If you want extra challenges of this nature be sure to pick things like “short fuse” … it changes how you react and how others react too…

Oh, was the thieves a pretty girl and her dad? Or are there more then those that I encountered? :confounded:

Those are the nice thieves (and are probably who @Okami-Nora’s talking about). There are another bunch later who are… not so nice. :disappointed:

How many thieves did you find?

Are they like a gang or something?

Yep; the people who stole from me when I was playing a Teenager were the “pretty girl and her dad”. They’re actually con artists and are boyfriend and girlfriend. The guy wasn’t even blind; they were just playing the part so that people would be more willing to help them out. My Teenager knew enough that something was off and that the two were likely up to something (seeing as my Teen noticed the cut seemed carefully made and they managed to trick the lady into admitting she was looking through their pack and got her to return the stuff she took), but figured that neither of them would be survive long out there if they continued to pull the stunts they did. So They were willing to house them, but made it clear their were established rules the two were to follow. So you can imagine my Teen wasn’t too pleased about having the second chance given to the two repaid to them by having some of their stuff taken (and why I want to sic my German Shepherd on them if I come across them again :rage:).

But I also did laugh a bit and thought myself “wow, these guys are idiots :unamused:” for the first time. My Teen had a well-defended house, clearly had the skills to handle themselves in a harsh setting, and possessed a calm-headed nature that would be vital for surviving the growing chaos…and those two stole from them, which feels a lot like they were thinking “this kid’s not going to survive long anyway; let’s make it harder on them by taking their stuff”. I hope they crawl back as humans, because if they want even a SMALL chance of rejoining me, my Teen character is going to give them a good deal of hardship for the action they pulled (my Teen is honorable, nice, and polite, but they do have their limits and can be quite pragmatic toward people who have proven they can’t be trusted the first time around).

They didn’t pull that with my Mixed-Martial-Artist though. Then again, they were at the very least smart enough to realize “don’t try to con the person who can easily break you in half with their hands” :smirk:

Both my characters were very adept at reinforcing their house, so the ‘not-so-nice-thieves’ ended up not being able to break into my house in either my Mixed-Martial-Artist or Teen play-throughs, and getting themselves hurt on some traps I set up. :smiling_imp: They’re the father and son who the character had a choice to defend from the mob when the son was accused of being bitten by a zombie.

My teen just refused them entry in the first place. Of course, had Lyle been a cute twenty-year old, it would have been a different matter entirely. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@ParrotWatcher

My Teen has the same type of honorable, kind nature as my Mixed-Martial-Artist  (but also the ability to be pragmatic and cunning when the time calls for it). I actually view the Mixed-Martial-Artist as the older version of my Teen character who grew up at a stable, uneventful time and the Teen is what happens to them if the Zombie disaster happened much earlier in their life. Either way, Angel (my Mixed-Martial-Artist/Teen’s name) has always been resourceful even at a young age; it’s just people put more stock in their ability to truly take a stand and handle themselves when the character is a adult and not as much while they’re barely close to adulthood (one of the things that makes playing the Teen an interesting challenge). They are not so easily distracted by cute things unless it involves their German Shepherd (They love their German Shepherd White Fang :wolf: ).

This game has a beginning and end but the middle is like a bowl of spaghetti. There’s no clear path from start to finish. Writing a walkthrough will only help with the one storyline of reuniting with your best friend, Jaime . Otherwise, it is as open as you can get in this type of storytelling. You can be a crafter, a fighter, a paranoid recluse, adventurous, a scavenger, a murderous bandit, and more.

Ugh, I sound like a salesperson.

The character plus mode seems perfect. Thanks for adding it, now I can create characters like Batman, Blade and so on.
