Zombie Exodus: Safe Haven -- set for release 10/28/16

Just ignore it when it shows up at your door. If you haven’t fortified your house enough, it’ll break in and you’ll be forced to deal with it. Trapping it in the basement is one of the options.

Thanks I’m going to go do it now, also if you’re going the nephew route dose he die or dose he hide away

Why not circle around from the back of the house and take it out - seems better than just ignoring it. Or build traps that stop it on the front lawn, like a garden gnome?

The question was:
how do you get a zombie in your basement
I prefer to stealth outside and attack it by surprise.

Also, @Potato_Queen, I don’t believe the nephew can die at this stage in the game.

Well… @Potato_Queen was asking how to get the zombie in the basement. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I mean, we know what happens if you ignore it… but hey, people like to explore all possible avenues. I tend to go just go around the house and bang bang it up.

Now, this is a question in general to all: would it make sense to play a movie star that has a high ranged weapons skill? I like to justify it as him learning as a precaution. With fame comes crazy stalkers and fanatics, after all.

Yes, it would make sense. They could have it as a hobby or be an ex-military/law enforcement agent. Think R. Lee Ermey :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

John Wayne knew how to hunt and shoot … I imagine Charles Bronson (NRA celebrity et all) did too… I imagine some others know currently. I think there might even be one or two with some military background.

To keep stalkers and crazies away- not so much, professionals do that for them.

I don’t speak Russian in my mind… stop looking there. Seriously,. :dolphin: :racehorse:

Unless someone’s dedicated enough to learn the schedule(s) of any bodyguards you might have. Then, next thing you know, you wake up to a crazy fan standing at the foot of your bed. :scream:There’s always a way. Better safe than sorry, I always say.

I mean, I imagine my guy with a basic handgun, but I kinda lol’d at being able to give my actor an automatic rifle. Just in case, you know. Just in case.

Civilians with shooting skills seem to love their Remmys and Mossys…

I was once told this by someone :

Anyone with money (including Hollywood stars) get fascinated by toys. The state of Nevada has the ability for these people to shoot all sorts of military grade weapons that are not only illegal elsewhere but would get you in trouble for just holding it.

My point is, shooting automatic weapons is not an inconceivable pass time for a gun enthusiast, even an actor-enthusiast.

I like to think of actors as human beings, albeit with a lot of fame, so it doesn’t look any weird when some of them exhibit skills and interests that non-famous people also have…

I am also going to say this: If @JimD ever has Nevada as a setting, he’s going to have to make some adjustments as to what is available at the time of the outbreak there. There may be more survivors in rural Nevada then elsewhere just because of the ability to defend themselves is that much greater right away.

This is really good. I love how rpg it is.

Plus if the movie star had worked on action movies there is a good chance that they received some level of gun training. I think competence with firearms would be very believable for an actor. If it was something they enjoyed they could become a very talented amateur.

How do I get Lopez in my house do I have to talk my way to get him (if you can) or can you attack them or something.

/wistful sigh/ As of now, you can’t really… do much for Lopez beyond trying to save him by attacking the soldiers. I suspect that if you don’t attack them or bring up your suspicions to them, Lopez may not make it back from wherever the soldiers dragged him off to. I’ll find out in this next update if @JimD isn’t yanking my Lopez feels. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The easiest way to bring up your suspicions to the soldiers is to make sure you pick the dialogue option where Lopez mentioned “white a wall” or something similar to that. Otherwise, the soldiers will cut you off and leave. If you have a high enough medicine skill, when you first rush outside to help Lopez, you can examine his wound and find out that his injury wasn’t caused by a zombie. It was a deliberate cut.

My police officer, Remy, had his hackles up throughout the whole exchange with the soldiers. Ultimately, he chose to open fire and try and rescue Lopez. Alas, all you can really manage to do for now is kill one of the three soldiers. I just made sure to kill the ringleader. :disappointed_relieved:

I thought the only reason you could have for attacking the soldiers was the take their equipment. I mean, if you wanted to find out what’s going on then taking White alive would have been the best course of action. I don’t remember ever getting the option to attack them for any reason other than to take their stuff. I think I only picked it once for the sake of testing. I tend to play characters that don’t like killing, and it’s pretty damn early in this apocalypse. Plus with society falling apart and humanity no longer being the dominant species it’s pragmatic to avoid killing other humans as a general rule.

Oh, yeah. It’s literally the one time I ever open fire on another survivor. My police officer is, by far, my go to MC so far. I’ve already talked about him to JimD before, heh.

The thing is… White and co. act so suspiciously that it should set off most MCs, especially folks with a law enforcement or military background. You’ve got a delirious soldier collapsing on your lawn with a mysterious, human-inflicted wound on his neck mumbling about a white room… it just spells out trouble - involuntary test guinea pig trouble. My cop didn’t open fire to take their gear. My cop opened fire because he didn’t trust those three soldiers to have Lopez’s safety as their actual concern.

Lopez literally cries out at being manhandled by them and being dragged away. My MC took a calculated risk. He deduced that they were lying (which they totally are) and he suspected that Lopez would be taken back to this aforementioned white room. There were too many unanswered questions and he figured Lopez was in bigger danger with these soldiers than anywhere else. Even if it’s early in the outbreak, he’s already seen what people are capable of. Just look at the stunt Sarge pulled.

After that, I think Remy would be willing to take the risk in killing three bad people to save one good person. Killing ain’t in his nature, but if he has to do it to save someone, he’ll take that burden on.

Yup. They were acting like some militia set up in Idaho coming down from the mountain hunting real soldiers to capture and torture… just saying how my sniper MC reacted.
