@JimD is doing a fantastic job, but there’s just so much to do so it’ll take time.
Which is why he needs us his little helpers to read his code and words and point out everything that can be fixed to help create an even better game for all of us to buy and enjoy to the point where we get fired from work for skipping too many times stating “Unavailable due to personal reasons”.
@NJG Dillan takes the P90. You’ll have to ask him for it
@faewkless @Nathan_Faxon I will add a teen angst achievement.
@matty491 the crafting system will be improved, as Nathan_Faxon stated. As again as Nathan said, there will be ways to power cameras. Basically, Nathan knows as much as I do.
@EmperorHeartless thanks! All of your collective help really keeps me going. My To Do list grows and grows, but I imagine ZE:Safe Haven will be my magnum opus. And then I will retire. Or do 5 more.
I will have the occasion to use a bazooka? I love big explosions!
Maybe since the army is gone on the first day we can find a tank (and blow up every pet store muahaha)
Finding codes and such is not my specialty, but I’m imaginative and love replays so if @JimD needs somebody who do Countless run throughs to check things and throw in a few ideas here and there I’m more than happy to help. And Aw shucks Jim you flatter me, I guess you could say I’m a natural survivalist, though put me in front of bandits and I’m screwed
Good idea! But i don’t think we will can.
Are you a vegetarian by chance? If you are and you find a tank, do Emma a favour and blast a meat truck
Stares at you not laughing then puts baseball cap on your head “your still my bro” (my brothers name is actually Nathan)
But he dies in the end.
Also, I’d rather use my MC’s HTH skill to silently break his neck, get the P90, loot him corpse to get ammo, then get out.
I do believe he means Jaime and not Dillan, I was pondering it myself
Also @JimD I’m going on a limb here and guessing that the choice of where you live will play a big part soon?
Such as the City will have better chance for supplies but higher chance of zombie and bandit attacks.
Suburbs you will encounter scavenging survivors at a higher rate, friendly and unfriendly.
Country has little zombie activity but supplies and survivors are scarce.
Plus could we equip and unequip items? Leave them at the safe haven so we can carry more but if it’s not well protected we risk losing some of those things, the higher the value the more likely it will be stolen?
@NJG I meant Jaime. Oops.
@Nathan_Faxon my plan is to give missions out based on location. And random events are tied to locatiob, but it’s as you say–city has more zombies, more survivors, etc.
I tried to do a whole inventory system with equipping before leaving the house and having weight and space but the coding became a nightmare. In the end, Choice games are not about inventory management. In the field/on missions, I let people choose to loot or scavenge items they value and give perks for characters with high strength and other factors. If I built an elaborate inventory system and track weight and ammo, I’d probably have to give up more important things like extra NPCs.
I may still use the idea about having your safe haven robbed though and losing items.
Will it be that as the apocalypse goes in the numbers in the city will start high but decrease and the country will.start low but increas as the zombies explore for food?
Well bugger to the coding then! maybe something simpler likea loadout like ZE will do then, as I like extra NPCs
When it comes to attacks while you’re out scavenging it could be based on your defences and how many survivors in the Haven at the time, but their skills are a game changer? A survivor with high combat skills will do a better job at guarding than two survivors who have little to no combat skills. So maybe give each character a defender rating?
@lightsavior to answer your question, I believe resources in areas will be at a set rate, for story purposes maybe. But if you explore these places consistently then it will dwindle down resources in that area but also decrease zombie activity because you know… You’re blowing their brains out when scavenging. Unless you have another Exodus up your sleeve, Jim?
Oh. What persuasion skill do I need to persuade him to give it to me?
Also, what’s a better weapon, the FN P90 or the M16?
I love the kill count for survivors! Why my MC punch Lyle when i chose katana?
Your the best there is.
This was the same thing that happened when I played though that way! I think it only effects that exact combo of profession and challenges
Wrong thread mates.Nothing to see here.
Wrong post??? or it’s my phone crazy it shows me this in Ze new heaven by @JimD not Cataprak one.
yepyepyepyepyep.
Nod.
