Now I am picturing a scenario where the player has a bunch of drooling zombies tied upside down to a metal bar, and goes looking for ‘volunteers’ to see if a zombie shower is infectious…
Does anyone Know if will see finn in part 3 because I’m intrigued
I suspect he won’t have a key role in the main sequence of events in Part 3 but I like to think he’ll appear either in the end of Part 3 or Part 4 should Mr. Dattilo continue with the series afterward. I’m just speculating here.
When it comes to the morality of your MC, do you like to make more honorable decisions or do you prefer to make more Pragmatic decisions and why ? Also, do you have the MC act impulsively or calculated and why ? Last but not least are you straightforward or manipulative or both when you interact with other characters ?
There were some who thought Finn is Leather Jack … so that’s why @JimD mentioned we could already met Jack
My “canon” MC makes honorable decisions because he’s an idealistic teenager, and, making honorable decisions (mostly) means there’s low chance of antagonizing people.
He acts in a calm and calculated way so that he doesn’t make any hasty or emotional decisions, which is very important considering we’re in a post-apocalyptic world where we can get rekt by zombies any time.
Eh, somewhere in the middle. He talks to most folks in the group in a straightforward way but sometimes when he’s confronted with dangerous outsiders (like Finn and those goons at the end of P2) he may become manipulative to determine if they are a threat or may become one in future, and to gain more information from them.
My main mc is pragmatic because if he listens to emotions instead of facts it could get him and his nephew killed. He also calculated same reason. He a Straightforward most of the times
Depends on the situation. For the most part I’m honorable-the world going to shit isn’t an excuse for abandoning basic decency in my eyes-but there are several occasions where I will choose the more pragmatic option.
Calculated. We’re in the age of zombies and the collapse of civilizations-fuck ups can’t be tolerated. The more I think through my decisions, the less trouble I get into.
Both. I’m manipulative, but I wouldn’t say in a malicious way. Think of it as the “lying to the nephew to preserve his innocence” kind of manipulation.
My main cannon character is 100% pragmatic. He’s very much a sociopath and doesn’t regard others as anything more than pawns in his desire to take advantage of this zombie world. He’s very much not an honorable person in any way, though many of his actions may appear as such to those he has manipulated.
Again, completely calculated. If he rushes to save a person, its because he sees value in that person regarding him as a hero. If he pushes the “everyone deserves a chance to live” narrative, its so that others think he’s a good guy. Its been a while since I’ve played but 9 out of 10 times, he ends up being labeled group leader despite being a teenager amongst a slew of adults.
As has been surmised from the earlier questions, he is very much a manipulative person. His “INT” and “WIS” stats are the highest by a wide margin. EVERYTHING he does is planned.
Any update on 2.2? I am subscribed to Jim’s newsletter, and keep checking back here, but last report was that it was being beta tested. Is that still going on?
Yall I don’t know if I’m late knowing this but if you play part one wait until lisa and George come and. A very similar name from the end will pop up
All files have been sent in to HG for Part 2-2. Due to some new features, HG staff has to weave their magic to make it all work. With the publishing queue as it is, the estimate is end of March.
Part 3’s intro is on Patreon now. It is a very early look. So, the game is progressing.
Jimd I kinda need some help. So let me explain I was Romancing Reilly as main ro jamie as second so I get romantic with both jamie comes in after Reilly. The messed up part is that lopez comes in I sigh and they do it I didn’t even know Lopez liked girls. But the main thing is will this blow up in my face.
Since this game let’s us not have to lean on extreme views in the first place, I tend to jump a good deal between both.
That said, I do lean slightly more often on honorable side.
Depends on which MC I’m playing. One of my Teenagers and College Student tend to be more calculated while my Homemaker and Wrestler are more impulsive (just to name a few because I’ve played through each of the backgrounds more times than I can count
). Why I do this is mainly because these characters don’t all think the same or have different reasons for doing their actions.
Straightforward with a small dose of half-truths and bluffs
. Can’t show all the characters your cards even when trying to be nice, especially not to the suspicious ones ~Jillian, Lyles, Dillan, Rose, and Driver (when they were part of that disaster of a group), possibly most of the Silverthornes (but especially Keith), inevitable future enemies, etc.
It could be good or bad. Lopez can like females if relationship is high.
So I have a question.
Since in Part Two of SH, I was wondering if there would be a chance to pick our second in command if the group decides to have us (the main character) as their leader? I’m merely asking because there are plenty of people in our possible group by the end of the current 2nd SH story that we can choose as our right hand man (or woman/gender fluid).
For example, we could choose either between Jaime, Lopez or Kelly?
We can entrust Rachel and Jaime to delegate certain tasks to the rest of the group so in away we’re already grooming a second in command by having them act as taskmaster.
I would need to see a major increase in intelligence, wisdom and decision making on Kelly’s part before I entrust her with a position like co-leader. Don’t get me wrong, I like Kelly but she really did make an egregious mistake trusting and bringing Keith to our camp.
I always see Lopez as chief of security and would trust him with making sure that someone is always on guard and making sure people can properly use a firearm.
On a side note, has anyone who tried to peacefully persuade Keith to leave the camp noticed that you get a large relationship decrease with the rest of the group for just letting him walk away ? Not to mention Kelly gets kidnapped as well.
If you, while signing up for the dating thing, choose that you want a romantic and sexual relationship, can you can you still get into a relationship with Gina in spite of her being aromantic?
I have no idea, but I doubt you’d get into a romantic relationship with her since she is aromantic not to mention her husband just died so…
I know, but he listed her as a current RO option (though there likely isnt any content for the relationship), and I didn’t ask if I could get into a romantic relationship with her, but rather if I could get with her even though I chose that I wanted a romantic and sexual relationship.
Not trying to be rude, btw, if it seemed as such.
