Thank you.
I adored the first installment of the series, and I really liked Safe Haven too, but then the battle on the hill happened, my characterâs pet died, and I just⌠stopped playing. Like, all my excitement just washed away. It makes me very sad, because I still love this game. I chose husky as a pet, and saw the option to train him during our time at home, but it was always greyed out for me. I replayed the battle several times and tried to help him to get on the hill, but he always runs away. I have a feeling that I need to do this training for him to be more obedient, but how? I never saw this option being clickable.
If the choice to train your dog is unavailable for you, I think that means youâre survival skill isnât high enough(which is what you need to be able to train youâre pet). So youâll probably have to recreate your character in part 1 and make sure you have at least a level 3 in survival to ensure your pet is properly trained because I donât think youâll be able to train him before the battle.
Thank you very much!
Leadership also helps (at least 1 or 2 pts invested in it).
Thank you as well!
Not sure if you have done it yet but hereâs a tip to save your cat:
- Get at least Leadership/Persuasion to 4 and Empathy as high as you can since itâs OP af.
- Save everyone from Part 1 that could be saved and be added to the Team. As much as you want to kill some of them, donât, every person alive helps a lot.
- To get voted Leader, you could either declare yourself as one immediately to forgo the voting process or just say youâd lead the team military style or If you want democracy, just say that youâd lead them democratically and have inputs from everyone works well if you have high Empathy.
- On teams have Brody, Church, Driver, Jaime, Kelly, Madison, Parker, Rosie, and Tommy join the Highway Team, the rest on the Field Team that includes you as well, and yes, also Nora.
- If you have a nephew have him hide on the trunk, donât let him join, just tell him that youâll teach him later.
- Better grab an automatic weapon if you have one and having extra mags on it is a plus. Molotovs too, if you have one.
- As the battle on the Highways concludes, watch for the phrase that Jaime says along the lines of âThereâs not a lot of them left, we donât need to run as muchâ or something similar.
- When that line appears, the battle on the hill that comes after would be much easier. I know this is gonna sound like not saving your cat, but it will, trust me, my cat died a lot of times before I got it to work.
- Follow this choices in order: Help Nora up the hill, Rally Survivors, Help Defend by shooting them and thatâs it.
- After the battle was done, youâd be crying and laughing the same time because there will be an option now to train the cat at the hill, not at the house XD
You donât have to save everyone. I save him with a lot of them killed. If you have enough leadership and are the leader you can save your cat but of course, losing people along the way if you have most dead. But if you donât care is a valid strategy. (for instance, a psycho only cares his cat)
Whenever I was a good sniper and the battle on the road went good, I just sniped the infected from the hill, so everyone including my animal survived. But I always go for empathy and a bit leadership so that might also be a thing.
Thank you. I am playing a unique build where itâs a near exact replica of me in real life and making the choices I would make if I were in the game but it seems like Iâll have to change the build. Thinking about it, it was stupid to just pick a profession and expand on a few skill when I level up. Even then, some people I know say I have good leadership skills and high empathy in real life, so maybe itâs better to restart the game and customize the skills from the start.
Youâre welcome, and just to clarify, what I posted is not the only way to save your pet, thereâs a few more ways and just like you said it depends on what you want to play as, I personally tend to save everyone as much as I can and avoid killing only when absolutely necessary. Also, having a save from the 1st game would help a lot if thereâs a struggle for skill points.
Iâve recently been playing Reillyâs romance route (as a male military commander, generally good, very calculated & straightforward, honorable, fairly balanced between idealist & cynic) because I want to try out different routes (Tommy is probably one of my favorite CoG/HG ROs ever). At first (even after the 2-2 update) I generally saw him as another set of working (and fighting) hands and didnât actively antagonize him or seek him out; I also liked Nora better. But his romance is surprisingly sweet! I am surprised that I ended up liking him so much!
My favorite part was the knitting hobby scene with him as the main ROâhe talks to MC about the knitting and even wants a scarf (the knitting hobby scene with other ROs seem to yield no special dialogue; it seems like each RO has a hobby that they appreciate in MC which gives special dialogue [which is really impressive]).
What scenes/ romances similarly surprised you?
Hy, hello, im new in here, this part of thead at least, i recently play ZE:SH, i was wondering what was the purpose/benefit on having WHO flashdrive(the one you get from being scientist) ?
It was said that a good driving skill will allow you to drive helicopter, plane and so on, is this a clue that we might drive plane, helicopter, tank in the next sequel?
Can someone give me the âperfectâ team combination for highway team?
Can someone give me what kind of skill that can and can not be taugh to other survivors on the hills?, like you can teach Madison :medicine, stealth, but not : survival and so on?
And is theres any regular here who is willing to have a chat with me using Private Massage to answer my question ?, I dont want to bother the people here for asking the same question over again and waste the tread, a habit i pick up from dragoon series i guess.
I tried making a scientist, college student, and a teenager with Science Prof. just to see whatâs the diff. between them regarding the research in the zombies but so far, Iâve noticed none at the moment pops up, we could maybe see itâs use in future updates since we donât have a working lab at the moment.
Driving as of now has not been focused on yet, driving at level 3/2 seems to works just fine for now, not much use in it though. Just a prediction though, maybe when we get to the S.Militiaâs conquered FEMA base, there could be more advanced vehicles there or even SF Lancelot, maybe even the Junkyard there could be a heavy machine there that could require a higher level of driving skill.
On the perfect team, if you want to save everybody,
this works on all of my playthroughs, try that composition.
On skills, I havenât tried teaching other skills on what or what may not work but IIRC, you could teach them skills as long as yours is higher than theirs? Not sure on this one, I just teach my nephew Sneak and everybody else Close Combat/ Range Weapons.
On someone to talk to, I just stop by here from time to time just message me if you feel like it. On the other hand you could try the FB group, thereâs a few more folks there to talk to.
I try to teach nora stealth. Because you know, she is old, but he refuse, i try to teach reily (IIRC) cooking to maximise his skill, turn out his skill already max, try to teach madison survival but she doesnt want it. It waste of time actually since im the type of player who want the best result. Sometimes i play the game over and over again for hours just to get a few relationships bonus, lol.
In order to avoid wasting your time, and teaching survivors skills they donât need, I suggest you thoroughly look at skills theyâre good at and which ones they arenât which is something you can find when you ask them to train you in a certain skill. As for the reason why you canât teach Maddison, she actually doesnât need it, she and her brother are extremely skilled survivalists who have been trained by their survivalist uncle when theyâre younger, so itâs possible she feels sheâs already been trained by the best and doesnât need the MCâs guidance in that department.
Same goes for Reilly you donât seem to be offering him anything new or anything he doesnât already know so he thinks heâs good in the cooking department. Nora is different because I think her reluctance to learn stealth is because it conflicts with her personality and style. What I mean by that is, Nora is a very verbal, and prideful retired criminal, and her son is a bank robber, so stealth and quietness doesnât seem like something that her and her son really consider. As life getâs harder, Iâd hope that they would but, right now in part 2 they seem resistant to learning certain skills.
Can you verify where you heard that exactly please ? Also is it a rumor or something that JimD himself actually said he might implement in game ? Because if it didnât come from the authorâs own words and you canât show us where he said it, Iâm extremely doubtful of it being a definitive thing thatâs being put in the game. People love to treat their in game fantasies as something that will inevitably happen. Itâs nothing personal against you itâs just if you heard this through the grapevine and the person didnât say they got this from JimD directly and they donât have proof, itâs easy to get false information.
Thatâs a mere description of your level of skills. It doesnât mean that you will do anything like that. It is very frequent in Rpgs use examples or exaggerated words to describe skill levels. Fallout, Elder Scrolls and a big etc⌠If Says you can make love itself falling for you at max charisma, DOES NOT MEAN THAT IS PLOT OF GAME.
Well, I think we actually have more versatile choice of vehicles to choose from when and if we actually decided to go to restock from supermarket and decided to drive.
Chill, no need to shout, and the capslock is unnecessary by the way, i can read ,beside i never said it was plot of the game, all i did was asking, just a little question. And im sorry if i bother you, i will just ask the regular instead of posting then.
