Looks like I got home a little late. Will try to create the map tomorrow morning. A note though: there are no people yet so no structures or features related to people whatsoever. Remember, we’re adding people to the world in part 2.
You know what you should all do? Each write a single ChoiceScript scene and consolidate the whole lot into an exploratory CS game.
I will join, what about a valley. A crystal blue river running through green hills. I would name it “Valley Of Themis”
I could make a drawing of Broken Forest
Keen to see what this will turn out like so here goes…
Medium to High altitude Snowy Mountains covered in a forest (on a scale of small to large, a medium forest.) Trees are packed very close together. Lots of wild game live there including: Wolves, Mountain Goats, Elk, Boars, Bears and other small and large creatures. Two large frozen lakes. Due to the magical nature of the area, it is always winter with light to medium snowfall.
So… Created this with campaign cartographer 3. Couldn’t figure out a place to put your savannah @Happy. Sorry about that. But I did place a waterfall on the map. Please tell me if I missed anything else, but in the meanwhile, I need to figure out how to export a higher resolution map.
Me likez it
@hshs01357 That’s amazing! I agree with @P0RT3R Me likez very much!!
I am going to make a beatiful drawing of Broken Forest
I have like the whole day tomorrow
I’ll pitch in for Dark Seed too!
Thanks! Oh, @ADNox, @WolfieGrey, @Galador, I need a name for your mountains. Also, for reference, this continent is around the size of real-world Australia and I’m intending for the entire world to be around the size of Earth. However, this continent will be where most of our game plays out (that’s not saying that you can’t add more islands large or small - this map hasn’t filled out yet :P).
As it’s turning out, I’m going to make the northern 2/3 a temperate climate and the southern 1/3 a more equatorial climate. So keep it going but don’t forget about the rules! You have until Sunday to finish filling out the map!
Jeez, that map is sooo cool! I love when things come together like that.
What will we name the continent?
The Bloat: A swamp. Tall drooping moss covered trees. Nothing is solid. Everything is water and green moss. Completely teaming with life.
I purposely avoided naming my mountains because of the lack of people- with no people, you have no names. I see the reason for naming it, however, so I will call my mountain range… Lastor’s Ring, and the center peak which has the waterfall will be the Haunt of Hanawyn, and remember the lake in the center is called the Freezing Pool.
Also, if nobody has any objections, I propose to name the continent, or at least the northern region of it (though I would prefer the whole continent), Cathica. It’s just a name that means nothing that just happened to come to mind completely unbidden when I saw posts regarding the naming of the continent. Of course, I am not the only one who will have input with the whole continent though! If anyone can think of a better name, go for it!
My mountain/forest combo is the “snowfall alps”
Another region could be: a small forest made entirely of dead trees. All the flora is dead and wilted as well. A light fog envelops the forest and gets thicker the deeper in you venture. This is the “haunted woods”
A wide open area of grass overlooking the ocean. A few hills scattered about but other than that the ground is flat. The noise of breaking waves is constant and the smell of salt is always in the air. This area is known as the “crashing waves plateau”
Actually, i’m going to make “crashing waves plateau” part of a much larger area called “the emerald ocean” - a vast open plains on the eastern side of the continent. Also, remember rule #2: only one action per day per person.
I didn’t think that applied till the continet was complete… But since you made it part of a large area, I kept within the boundaries.
@hahaha01357 To whom was the “remember rule #2” directed? I think technically I only made one action (proposing a name for the continent) because you asked for me to give the name of my mountains. Since I didn’t actually *do* anything with that, I figured that wasn’t a “real action.” Please correct me if I’m wrong, however.
