Would anyone like to create a world with me?

Micro-expressions?

slight changes in someone’s expression. For instance, people who are surprised tend to slightly raise their eyelids. People who lie sometimes tense their throat’s muscles, etc.

I’ve re-edited to make sure that it keeps within the rules.

1: The inhabitants of Darkseed call themselves ‘Oymaci’, but outsiders call them ‘Carvers’.

2: While outsiders call the sacred land ‘Darkseed’ the Oymaci have a sacred name only spoken in whispers, to even mention its name is only given to Oymaci of great importance. Since its name is shrouded in mystery, it has been given a common name: Tohen. The name they have for the rest of the land is ‘Arazi’.

3.Their origins are of Darkseed, not many Oymaci leave their home.

4.No-one has ever really known much on Oymaci civilization. Very few Outsiders have seen an Oymaci village, and the description is brief. Oymaci villages are accessible from specific spots hidden around Darkseed, as the whole village complex is based underground.

5.They are extremely pale and have dark violet eyes, the majority of the population have either Black or dark brown hair, very few are Blonde and are considered to hail from a different province, thus being called ‘Yabanci’ (Meaning Foreigner). They are of average height and are very nimble.

  1. Most Oymaci stick to dark hooded robes, when in Darkseed the runes on the robes seem to slightly glow. While everyone has altered the robes for style or comfort they mostly have the same basic layout.

7.Oymaci believe that the Tohum tree is a prison for Arazi’s son, and that they are the chosen race to keep Arazi’s son in his prison. All Oymaci must be sworn to keep Arazi’s son in Tohen, this bond can either be broken by becoming a ‘Hain’ (Traitor) and must never return to Darkseed. Another way to relieve themselves of this burdern is to be sworn to one’s services (Meaning a Oymaci will be sworn to you until your services of them are no longer required) This is a very rare sight as most Oymaci must have permission from the Yaslilar (Elders) to swear such an oath to a person.

8.By Oymaci legends and lore they say that Arazi had imprisoned her son into Tohen, a tree. She had made the perfect race to guard and make sure Arazi’s son did not come out of his prison. Oymaci are able to hear voices in their heads, which they say is the Arazi’s son tormenting them from his prison. Oymaci are actually descended from Traitors sent to work from an unknown land. The traitors had discovered the tree and had found the carved face, they thought it had belonged to a noble so they had dug secret holes to mine for gold safely. The Traitors found no gold but were unable to return home, so they had set up a civilization there. The Traitors unused to dark secluded places had gone half mad (Thus leading to the voices). They had adapted over generations and thus leading to the current Oymaci civilization we know today.

  1. The Oymaci mainly hunt on the other animals skulking around the underground complex so they have no meat shortages, but that doesn’t mean that when the odd Outsider comes by they won’t buy some meats! Another thing the Oymaci feast upon is a curious fruit called ‘Aci’, it’s put in Stews, roasted, peppered, season, stuffed, yeah they love their Aci fruit.

True emotions though, are different. You’d never know when someone feels depressed when their energy is high. Lying Detectors, I’m fine with.

If I hadn’t said it already, you can start your first turn after your people has been accepted.

So far, accepted peoples are (on my phone at work right now so may not be complete):

Attacoti (if WolfieGrey will accept my changes)
Feradians
Drindites
Afacere
Loux
Oneiros
Tullians
Lunari
Oymasi

Regarding the Sincerae: I’d be more comfortable if the horns are decorative but if you insist on your horns, I will allow it. Just know that outside people will treat your people with prejudice upon seeing the horns.

Desar: I’m fine with your people. My major concern is that you haven’t really expanded on how they have adapted to the Scald’s extreme temperatures and weathers. If you don’t expand on it, I will make assumptions.

Edit: the Oymaci are alright with the new proposal. The only thing I was concerned about was with the transdimentional tree. It’s fine so long as that isn’t a problem anymore.

@hahaha01357 I re-wrote it so they live underground of DarkSeed. I understand you being fair, there your rules after all!

So yeah they live underground now!

I would really like them to keep the horns but I u really want them to be decorative we can do that after all it is ur rules

@hahaha01357 Ok, I’m now using my action for this turn.

As time passed, the Feradians aquired knowledge over the use of wood as a resource. As such, they were capable of combining wooden branches with rocks in order to create spears, as well as working to construct wooden defenses around the main cave entrance (due to a rather messy incident caused by the trespassing of a lone wolf).

(Is this ok? I’m considering my action to be mastery over wood, which leads to what I said above. I mean, if we’re talking about 200 years, it kinda sounds reasonable for them to develop the way I said)

I would really like them to keep the horns but I u really want them to be decorative we can do that after all it is ur rules

@Blackheart Alright, they will have horns.

@Desanion You say the direction you want them to go, I will summarize what happened during the approximately 200 years that passed when I summarize results at the end of each night.

So you need it to be a bit more general? Ok, point taken. Still, is it alright the way it is, or do I need to change something?

I’d like the sincerae to master wood as well.

well then the Desar are adapted to the desert as they have a long thin nose ( help with cooling ) and when the temperatures fall at night they enter a state of constant twitching which helps them keep warm.

thats all i can find on human low fantasy human adaptions, unless i can add a small fatty tail which stores water and fat.

Reposting from above, 200 year goals: exploration of Schwarzeberg Tal’s caves and east-southeast scouting, seeking stronger cutting materials (early metallurgy) and selective breeding/domestication of wolves for use as war and hunting companions.

My race of people:

  1. The inhabitants of the Golden Sands of Illuse are actually of a more-or-less known existence. They’re spoken of in various tales, legends, and child’s stories, but have never actually been seen or proven to exist. They are called the Macobi.

  2. The Macobi call their home Concordibus (meaning “Perfect Harmony”). They don’t have a specific name for the actual “world”, per se, as they rarely attempt to even venture out of their home. But any place outside their home (the desert), they call Tenebrae (which means “Dark Place”). As their existence is a controversial topic, none know of the certainty of this, but in all the tales and legends, the Macobi are said to live in the precise center of the desert, in the very place where the sacred oasis is located, the exact oasis so many have sacrificed their lives trying to find.

  3. In the Golden Sands of Illuse (which is their homeland and always had been for as long as their memory has served.)

  4. They are sedentary. But, as has been mentioned, they only really live in one place and have not ever (or will) leave the area.

  5. The Macobi have somewhat elfish features, with narrow faces, large eyes, and long, point ears that jut out from their heads. Their skin is tanned, almost gold-colored, and their hair colors range from various shades of dark to light brown. They have a tendency to be born with gold or brown eyes. Their height is taller than the average human and they’re known to be a very agile, wise race with incredible perception and insight.

  6. The Macobi people, having been disconnected from the rest of the world for as far back as their history goes, don’t really know much about what other civilizations may call “decent” or “unacceptable”. They tend to show a lot of skin in their attire, but in their belief, such a thing is perfectly understandable and they don’t know otherwise. Not to mention living under the blistering heat of a desert sun.

  7. The Macobi are a wise, dignified race. They see but aren’t seen, hear but aren’t heard, know but aren’t known. They believe very strongly in their ancestors, and take extreme offense in criticism towards this. They see the rest of the world as dark and unsafe, places that are dangerous and shouldn’t be trusted. To them, the only truly peaceful and harmonic place in the world where their people may be safe, is in Concordibus, where they may be protected under the watchful gaze of their ancestors who have come before them.

  8. Their history is a long, but somewhat boring one. Being close, but not quite, immortal, the Macobi have remembered and passed down their history as it happened right before their eyes. Their memory is also unmatched due to their greatly stretched life spans. It’s quite possible they were the first beings to ever exist in this world, and may have predicted and prophecised the many battles and downfalls of mankind that later came true. Some even say that the so-called prophets who predicted these things actually only found the clues left behind by the Macobi.
The most significant and passed down tale of their ancestry is one about the birth of a very rare Macobi child; one with bright green-gold eyes and fair hair. This child was astounding, for the Macobi had never seen one of their own with such features. The little girl was named Venia, meaning “grace”, in honor of her undeniable gracefulness. Though, as Venia aged, her time to visit the oasis’s waterside crept closer and closer. As the only child born to the Mau’daen (what they call their leader or “chief”), she would be required to go to the oasis and read something–anything–that predicted the future’s events, even if it was only a small fragment, as was her birthright. When that day finally came, she left for the oasis’s edge with her father and sat beside it, attempting to see something that had not yet happened. Instead, the water darkened as she drew near, a sign of rejection. This too had never happened before; the rejection of a Macobi by the oasis. Having no other choice, her family was forced to bear another child, one who wouldn’t be rejected by the sacred pool of water. Becoming bitter towards this turn of events, Venia even began showing signs of illness, which was something no Macobi had ever been affected by. On her deathbed, Venia swore revenge on the family who turned their backs on her, cursing them and promising that, one day, another like her would return upon them, and that she would bring Venia’s true wrath running through her veins with her. Since then, the Macobi have been wary of any more bearing Venia’s features to appear and have vowed that even if one were to be born, that it would never set foot near the oasis.

  1. What do your people call themselves?
    Dwellers

  2. What do your people call this land? This world?
The Dwellers call this land The Center

  3. Where would like for your people to start?
They live in the Leaky Plateau cave system and tend to “dissappear” during the rainy season to The Deeps their rock cave settlement.

  4. Are your people nomadic or sedentary? (Sedentary people must found a settlement and also name it. I will also allow a larger starting territory for nomadic peoples.)
    Sedentary

  5. A general description of your people’s physical features
They are pale skinned due to their lives living in the cave systems. They have dark hair and range in height

  6. A peculiarity in the way your people clothe themselves (ie. do they go barefeet? does everyone wear a hat?)
They tend to wear loincloths but in extreme conditions will use flax jacket made of finely spun fibers.

  7. What is the prevalent world-view among your people?
Few outsiders that enter the cave systems tend to leave quiter than they came in as the Dwellers believe they are a dominate race. Little is known about them and their lives though they rarely retreat the cave system only to gather the neccesary resources.

  8. A short history of your people within their oral tradition (ie. how did they come about? Who united them? Any legendary figures?)
These people have retreated to cave after they were chased in years ago by iminent dangers to humankind. Their early ancestors are said to have met a Giant Bat which has watched over Earth and selected them to continue perfect human legacy and drove them to the caves and the ruins they now call The Deeps. Jaza a young woman particurally gifted by the Great Bat has brought back many gifts from deep in the a big one being an everlasting flame which burns in the center of the Deeps. Jaza though older now is still their leader.

*If this is a bit much I can tone it down*

For my first action, I’d like my people to work on mastering shipbuilding, construction, smithing, and domestication of the native mountain buffalo for farming. I’d also like for them to start exploring and scouting the main continent possibly establishing small trading posts or costal settlements near the tip that extends out towards the islands.

@Pimp Adaptations doesn’t have to be biological. During the day, the Scald has temperatures that would give deep burns to the feet, not to mention exposed skin. How does the Desar deal with that? During the night it can get extremely cold, how does the Desar deal with that?

@LOR Macobi’s basic attribute needs to have as little deviation from stock human as possible (low fantasy setting). I can’t accept near immortality and immunity to illness, especially with no evolutionary pressure present for them.

@Spyfox259 Sure, I can work with that.

@HaHa

What changes did you make?

@WolfieGrey Oh, did you not get my email? Or was I not supposed to reply to private messages through email?
