Works in progress?

I have a COG book I’m working on, but I’m thinking of putting up in the works in progress to get feedback. How exactly would I go about doing that? I assume I upload it to somewhere, from what I remember of looking through the COG contract? I keep the code. It will just be the same stuff that will be normally visible to anyone else playing a game on the works in progress.
Also, I want to have the , Do you know where it cuts off and asks you to buy the book? Whatever that’s called, at a very specific point, would someone be able to give me some tips for that? Like, does it require a certain chapter, or how does that work.

Is it COG or HG? If COG talk to them. If HG put it in the works in progress section of the forum. For HG you choose where the cut off is. Don’t worry about it until your game is finished. Recommend dashingdons for hosting.

There is no certain chapter requirement for the demo before buying (as far as I know). But it is recommended to have it by the end of the 2nd or 3rd chapter.

There is a ton of information here; I would look here for more specifics. Good luck!

I’d like to emphasize @Jacic’s points. This early on into development, you should be more concerned about actually writing your game. After you’ve gotten feedback, maybe even put the whole game through beta testing and are in the editing process, then would be a good time to look through your game for a natural stopping point.

Further, please note that unless CoG has offered you an author’s contract, your route of publication will be under the Hosted Games label, not Choice of Games.
Regardless, as you’re in the process of writing and receiving feedback, you can upload your game to dashingdon.com. Once you have a demo ready (there’s no hard and fast rules about what constitutes a demo on the forum, so just use your best judgement), feel free to create a topic in the #hosted-games:works-in-progress category. I suggest checking out other WIPs in the category to get a feel for what kind of information to put in your opening post.
