Witchcraft U—Uncover secrets in first-year Magical Studies

Okay so after the ball at the hotel, did you invite Poppy back to your room? Because I looked through the code and I think that if you choose to do that it doesn’t actually set the Poppy romance variable to true. It only does it if you let them go home by themselves I think this applies to the other ROs too?

I did. That would explain it - it means the game forgets you’re in a romance with Poppy, and so it never brings it up again. There isn’t even a morning after scene or anything - the last romance scene is Poppy going “Finally!”, taking your hand, and leading you up to the bedroom.

I take it this is a bug.

Thanks.

Yep, we’ve found the related bugs and we’ll have an update to fix them shortly.

I tried, y’all. I tried sooooo hard, even deleted my lengthy first response. But it has to be said:

The cover art makes it look like the girl bending over visibly passed gas.

And even when you look closer and it’s apparent that this is some sort of spirit or will’o’wisp rather than a fart, it also raises the question of why the specter is so closely, almost intimately checking out that girl’s derriere. I mean, it is just getting right up in there.

Aside from that, it’s tempting to say congrats on the release, but that hews too close to another fart joke, so let’s just say that it must be really relieving to have this story out there for all to experience and a hearty congratulations to all involved!

I did have my first experience with hydrocodone after my nose surgery yesterday, why do you ask?

I hadn’t noticed, and now I’m never going to be able to not see that.

I do hope your nose is okay. Feel better, but try not to hit the hydrocodone too hard. We really don’t need any more unfartunate observations or poor attempts at humor that fall flat(ulent).

I’ve noticed that in the spring semester, my fall grades can change. I go from a 4.0 in December to having a 3.5 fall GPA in April.

If I may ask … what’s up with the Achievements that just have the word “hidden” as a clue?

Was that the bug fix update already? O_o

If so, it was super-fast.

You have to just kinda stumble into those achievements, I think, they tend to be the kinds that you have to go above and beyond to unlock.

Considering that two of them are worth 1 point, that doesn’t seem to be the case. And if they didn’t want to tell us anything, why not just make them actual hidden Achievements?

Judging by the two 1-point achievements I have unlocked, the 1 point achievements are more like unachievements. The ones I unlocked are unlocked by failing at things, and the names of the ones I do not have yet seem to indicate that they are also failure states.

I also got a crash right at the end, but by restarting the game twice it actually started working again. It was literally the last screen of the game it turns out.

Had a lot of fun with the game, wonder what I’ll see on my 2nd playthrough.

:joy:im still in my first playthrough, seems like cant romance mc’s roommate…oh…i just love to romance someone that looks like cant be a RO or someone looks like mc’s rival. :joy:
never mind…
so…i think it’s possible to keep them still be your roommate?they just disappeared and somebody makes this like they never here(mc lost their memory about it)because i failed a ritual?

Same here, I went from a 4.0 in December to having a 3.0 fall GPA in April. And my Spring grades ended at a 1.0 and I have no idea why.

Yeah, I was downright fanatical about keeping my grades up, but my GPA tanked out of nowhere regardless.

Although I was also actively flipping the Trine off and walking backwards into hell, so maybe spite played into it a bit.

It was alright kept up with the grades, even got the scholarship and explored as much as I could a romance with Poppy which on my opinion fell short.

On a college game magical or not romance should have been a more prominent factor, would have change that aspect any day for all the happenings on the working place,I liked Poppy just would have loved more moments and even some spicy content.

Eh beyond that the societies were pretty forgettable enjoyed the mafia like business of the MC’s family,Nika the cousin?Easy among my favourite characters as well as the uncles.

Concerning the other college characters beyond Poppy they were not that great,Professor Ravi’s interactions were also interesting and I am glad of his general role on the story other members of the staff Durant was nothing to write home about but passable character.

In general all the magic societies and such kinda stopped on the rails the regular experience for a college novel, finding a date was not heavily featured(romance got a tertiary focus),the worldbuilding was well done no complaints on that(perphaps featuring more the normies side of the story beyond the working place more things could have been done,as the difference between them was as important as magical and muggles on HP-was kinda the borrowed concept hey?-).

Do not know if would like to play a Sequel, the world kinda didn’t fascinate me that much in comparison with other COG perphaps I was just not on the mood for this kind of novel but still the impression that it left on me was moderate.

It is possible. In the playthrough I refused to use the Mnemosyne, Ness stayed. I PRESUME that if you use it successfully they also stay, though I never had a playthrough where I had high enough skills for that, possibly because I keep failing to find out how much they know about me.

Does anyone know how to unlock all of the societies when you get to the point where you get to choose them? I want the wealthy one but couldn’t pick them. Also, how do you keep up grades because I studied nonstop and had a 3.0 but then it tanked

I always fail the Mnemosyne thing (often on purpose), so I can’t help with the secret societies (but check Enzo’s note for tips, it LOOKS like every society tests two things for entry: IIRC, the wealthy one likes environmental causes, so maybe it requires you having a lot of money and high nature magic?), but as for grades:

  • get all your textbooks as soon as you can; you can save money on the second semester books by buying NONE of them if you’re in good with, I think, the societies at this point, because they’ll give them to you
  • take less hours at the shop; taking even 12 hours is already detrimental to your studies
  • do well in the exams by picking the options to match your skills
  • taking less electives makes it easy to have a better GPA, because you need to focus on raising less magic skills

Does anyone know what the requirements are to fully

destroy the Mnemosyne? What happens to me is I get caught after disabling it with high Thaumaturgy, which is apparently fixable according to Virgil. Also is there a way to save Ravi from losing his memory? I can’t figure out how to keep him from the coma or memory loss

I’m also getting the same bug as everyone else, where I get a 4.0 in the fall, but suddenly partway through the spring semester it’ll drop my grade on the stat screen. And despite constant studying and barely going to work, my spring gpa is CRAZY low
