(WIP) Scales of Justice - ACCEPTED FOR PUBLICATION (Last update: 08/07/2024)

Hi, thank you both so much for finding those typos!! As I mark the places I must code in a his/her manner, I sometimes just forget to write it full and entirely miss it during my coding part!! My tester also plays fully male ROs, so I really-really appreciate you finding those, it’s my biggest pain when it comes to programming hahaha
Thank you so much and sorry if that disrupted your reading, I will fix it asap!! xx

Ummmm. I am not sure if it is meant to be this way or not. But one of the very first options in the demo says “I spent my days training at our mansion. Which helped prepare me for this life”. How is it that such an option does not give us a slight boost to our combat stat?

Hi, thanks for the question!! I tried to make the ‘training’ as ambiguous as possible, so later each person could choose which skill they specialised on!! Training can be not only for combat, but also for magic or even oratory, so I intended it to be vague yet diverse so you could build your story more immersively

In case you’re more worried to meet the skill-check, do not worry, I try to make the system as varied as possible! For instance, if you want to go for a more story-mode playthrough, where you wish to avoid any problems in combat, then a 50% skill will easily take you to the end of THIS book without any problems. If you want a bit more of adrenaline, the 20% skill exist for that!! And obviously, if you wish to go hardcore, then you can try and master something from 0…

I hope this clarified a bit my intentions with the game’s intro!! xx

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Hi, long time no see!! I’m sorry that I’ve disappeared for so long, my studies and health have decided to considerably slow down my writing process. And yet, I couldn’t go into the New Year without saying some words to all of you, so here it goes!!

At last, we’re finally here. 2021 is staying behind, while a new, exciting year comes to surprise us with its mysteries.

This year has been a bad year for many. Many losses, many problems, many lockdowns and uncertainty. For me, this year was marked by online teaching and isolation, and 2021 decided not to let me go without finally suffering Covid on its last days (yes, I am this lucky).

And yet, this year has been the beggining of something new. This isolation and free time gave me the motivation to bring a change to my life, one that I am immensively proud of. Not only I finally got the strength to work on myself, but also I found the inspiration for a small, fantasy story, one that is now surprising me beyond belief. When I started writing, I wasn’t expecting to get this many people to read and support me, and I certainly was surprised by the amount of those who decided to follow me closer, to read through my posts and to wait for my creation.
I want to thank all of you today for joining me this year. This project has been a highlight of my 2021, and I hope it will only get better in 2022!!

I wish you all the best New Year possible. Whether you’re alone or in great company, at home or in the streets, you all deserve to have a magical evening, so please do not hesitate to treat yourself on such a day. I want to share my love with this community, and I hope that all of you, no matter the circumstances, will find comforting warmth within you in this cold, yet beautiful day.

Happy New Year, everyone.

And thank you.

UPDATE ON WHAT’S HAPPENING

Hi all, long time no see.
I just decided to quickly pop in here to update you all on why I have been so silent for these past weeks.

As we all know, the world isn’t in a great situation at the moment. Sadly, some of the recent events took a personal turn for me, and I wasn’t able to work on anything I like outside my chaotic degree and my mental health. It is all good now - I am safe, and my family is finally okay. However, I am unsure how I am going to proceed further with this book.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not giving up on my own work. I love writing, and I will keep writing this story to entretain you and myself. I am someone who likes to consider herself mentally strong, so more than anything, I’m frustrated on how long I’m taking to publish and how much of a mess my current schedule is. It is, however, a hobby for me, and I need ot keep it that way for now in order to get my priorities straight. The delays I’ve suffered with uni work will make these last months of my degree a hell that I’m not really looking forward to, so I guess I’m here to just reassure me and anyone who’s still interested in what I’m doing that I’m here, that I want to write, and that I will continue. I just decided not to give any dates or promises for the time being, as my writing schedule has become quite complicated to handle.

I also want to thank everyone who’s being patient with me, who’s still following my work and loving my story. It is heartwarming to see that someone is willing to wait for my silly mind to get its pip back together and to finish off the next part of the story: I hate the fact that I have to make you wait for it, and I hate the fact that I have to wait for it myself.

Everything’s going to be okay.
And soon I’ll be here more often to be able to interact with such a lovely community.

All the best and see you soon,

Julia.

CHAPTER 4 UPDATE NOW OUT!!

Hi, this is just a small message to let you all know that my new update is FINALLY here!! After a lot of stress, uni work and world conflict, I’m here to bring you what I’ve been dragging out for far too long - the new chapter for my book. Again, I want to thank everyone who’s been supportive of my work throughout these long months, as well as those who were patient with my delays. Albeit I’m now scared to give dates (as the situation isn’t stable at all anywhere), I will begin to work on Chapter 5 shortly, hopefully getting back into a speedy rythm now that summer’s near.
I hope you’re enjoy the update, all info is now in the first post of this thread.
See you soon!!

Julia.

Sorry for the delayed answer, but hopefully it’s fixed now!! Thank you!!

Hey! Wanted to comment for chapter 4 if you choose a combat (weapons) focused main you can’t select the sword option for Roberts route.

Edit: and I think Valerius is sometimes called Darieri is that intentional?

There is never a limit to one’s ambitions, regardless of who or what they are.

I definitely like playing a healer! Kinda hope my character can end up opening a secret or public school or mage circle too teach people it. Making it a bit more accessible
