so i’ve finished chapter 4 pt2 so the whole chapter is completed, releasing on dec 14. also taking a small break.

Bug
So I found a bug when it comes to the dorms.
I did this before in my male save (current gender is female in this save) and had the chose to choose between either Male or Female Dorms which shouldn’t be possible right? so I chose the “Male Dorms”
reading this it shouldn’t be possible for me to do so then? since it is only selectable if you’re Male.
but I’m female.
So I would assume you forgot to add choosing your dorms to be like locked to whatever gender the user chose.
Question
Shouldn’t these be locked behind your gender? (current gender in this image is male.)
It allows me to have a skirt despite being male? was that intentional or…
I’d assume the uniforms would be like
Female(locked to female gender)
Gender-Netural(could be chosen by either male or female)
Male(locked to male gender)

But yes, I want to make sure the player, knows what dorm they’re going to. I’ve gotten a DM about that. And i’m learning how to fix it!
I want to make sure that anyone can choose what option they want. No matter the gender

Okay everyone, if I’m being honest. I really don’t know where to go with this WIP. I’m torn between quitting or making this a side project for a new one.
I feel like it might not be going anywhere but at the same time wanna continue. But I have a great idea for a new WIP I’ve been waiting to do for awhile.

Do whatever, you could always come back and update whenever you get the motivation to write, don’t force yourself, and I think you should take your own advice

So sorry I haven’t been updating, rl stuff has been happening.
But chapter 5 is 70% done, just need to finish it up and the update will be out on Feb 15!
BTW, Allison is now Harper and Aiden is now Hayden. I’ve changed the names.

Just played through once, have something to mention.
There is a photo in the game which I think comes from the EF Academy Pasadena Campus facebook page (using a reverse google image search). I’m not sure where you found the photo, but be very, very careful about copying images online to use in your game.
If you’re planning to publish this with Hosted Games, the last thing you want to do is charge money for something which you might not have copyrights/permissions for.

I strongly recommend that you only use images which are in the public domain or come with a free license for commercial use. Citing the source (in itself) does not grant you a commercial license to use it, unless it’s fair use (which doesn’t apply to your game).
If you need pictures, there are online websites which provide public domain or CC0 images. Those are safe to use.
(Plus, it’s really immersion breaking if the credits tell you that the photo is just one of a real-life school)
