(WIP) Broken Fable [220k Public, Updated 5/7/24]

All the fables have supernatural toughness so it’s likely that Lucifer would survive that and use their powers again before she could regain her bearings

I just looked on Tumblr for the first time in a while and the author has said “SWK could theoretically do anything any other shapeshifter could do. That’s what being a true shifter means in Broken Fable. So, in short, yes, you will be able to go full Godzilla” so I think if he watches the media with Godzilla in that would have provided him enough knowledge to be able to transform if that limitation is still in the story.

So, you think Ishtar wins against every Fable, including Zeus, Pele, and Janus.

Wait until Janus hits her with the pocket sand

Please don’t insult each other during discussions. Thank you.

I’ve issued several warnings due to inappropriate comments above; the topic is on slow mode for a short time to allow for some cooling-off.

That’s a question a person asked about which Fable is the most powerful in a 1v1 fights. He ranked them 1st to last, although they are all on the same power level. But, you can come up with your own conclusions if you want to further immerse yourself further in the lore of your own character. Just don’t shove in other people faces :ok_hand:

Does anyone actually care? Is it worth fighting over? There is no measurable metric that gives you “the ranking”, no magical formula that lets any character win 100% of the times against other characters.

It’s not just matchup-dependent it’s entirely subjective. Who wins in a fight? Whoever you want. Janus is the living incarnation of that idea. Undeniably the weakest, and yet as dinky as they are they can find a way to beat almost anyone. The living incarnation of the fact that, in the end, the only thing that matters is who the author wants to win, and that fights aren’t decided by raw numbers, but by pure circumstance.

Smh so much Bad blood over that,at the end of the day all the Fables are around the same level just some good and Bad matchups that what makes it interesting no need for a A win against B who wins against C so A win against C. Let’s just enjoy each of the Fable’s strength and weakness.

Def think we all need to take a breath this is the kind of crap that would make me want to stop writing definitely wouldn’t help the writing juices flow.

Some people do care, other’s don’t. All depends on that person, but asking questions and/or debating in good faith can do no harm in the general sense. And fighting over fictional characters is clearly unacceptable.

Woa, that’s seems realistic for me, maybe wukong deserves the eternal second place, I mean… Pele :skull:, and I played the Lucifer path and it doesn’t convince me at all the fact that he can beat Wukong. But the author sets the cannon power levels like that for some reason

I don’t know why people keep doing it, but the biggest part of the conversation is about which fable is strongest or which one would win against another.

I find it kind of annoying since it’s almost always revolving around this subject when there’s so many other things we can discuss. People need to understand that power and fighting abilities aren’t always a perfect ranking, it can vary according to the situation, environment, opponent(s) and many other variables.

No one wants to admit Jason Todd is the strongest obviously seconded only by Nick fury then the rest of the fables…we all want to pretend pele, lucy, And zues’s combined might could beat jason todd. so to distract ourselves we squabble about wich fable is stronger.

as the Holy Mandalor would say ‘This is the way’

That’ll be awesome if that is implemented.

I wont be leaving eggs in a football field arena though! Friend made me watch that one…

Anyone else think that Medusa could have been an amazing fable to play as?

meh, not so flashy as lucifer, arthur pendragon, SWK, etc, medusa should be a cameo in the zeus path, but a fable, hmmm idk, kinda meh

I would be really curious about how author would have adapted relatively minor but potentially extremely powerful gods like the erinyes(furies), Eris, Nemesis or even Themis or Nike.

Or someone stupidly powerful like Nyx, though there would probably be some overlap with the shadow power users of the setting.
