it should be “Michael, take his wings,”
I think it should be “possible that your supply” or only “possible your supply”
You forgot the ? in the end
It should be “Yoru stares te you”

I forgot this was mentioned but does pele give off heat? If he does how much and does he suppress it?
Enough heat to match the Sun if they wanted to. And they do suppress it. If they didn’t, most people they encountered would’ve melted just a few distance away from them. They’re a literal embodiment of a Volcano. I am curious how intercourse involving them would work though. Is it even safe for someone to do that with them?
and suddenly im reminded that is a involuntary muscle spasm and people like superman should in theory murder people during sex.
Im usually not very fond of playing as a vampire, never got the appeal of drinking blood and such. But damn, that Yoru scene with Lucifer at the airport…
Still wont play Vampire MC games, but damn was that spicy. Hope more of the Fables get some romantic development soon as well, they have some catching up to do.
Damn your missing out then theirs so many good games on this site involving vampires.
That’s definitely not the appeal of playing such games.
I’ve always preferred werewolves to vampires even though vampires are always portrayed as op in most things.
Someone that doesnt need food, water, sleep or even air, can still do all that. Unless they lack function to do so, skeletons and etc.
You know I wonder, could Arthur learn how to control his blood lust and only use it in a short burst like an ability onto itself, like a rage mode?
Think like jack the ripper mode from metal gear rising, because Arthur seems much stronger than normal in that state considering he could attack 100 times in a single second but he still just considered that ok.
At the very least it seems to take some of the rust off his skills for that moment so he can pull off that attack and destroy the city.
The 100 attacks in 1 second wasn’t a rage mode thing that was something he could just do
Nope.
Mental hellscape ignored?! Fine, body control it is then.
Literally what happens. Praetors have no chance. Imagine if Luci WAS there when Timur escaped instead, yes, Timur wouldnt of escaped. Along with any other Fable.
Become diabolical and emotion control is enormously dangerous. Common humans use it often, and it isnt even powered one bit.
Agreed that’s why janus and lucifer are two of my favorites now, I like how there power lies not in destructive capacity but in how absurdly broken they are instead.
A good example is the janus fight that was just them peering a few seconds into the future imagine if they looked even further it wouldn’t even be a fight, a few things we learned in that fight is that when janus looks into a persons future they can also see the events and people involved in said future so on top of being able to look into their own future it basically negates the whole ambush weakness.
Something i’m hoping to see in later chapters is upon learning of timur’s escape is janus just peering into the future of them and everyone around them to build a timeline of the inevitable clash against timur and basically dictating the entire battle before it even begins.
Im fine with games involving vampires, I dont like BEING the vampire.
Thats a lot of the vampire stuff of books. Everything else vampires can do in this types of stories any other supernatural could if the author wanted it so.
And everything about the plot and worldbuilding of vampire games (like the hidden politics side of things, that VTM books like so much) could involve any other supernatural that hasnt been overused to death by every single type of media.
But so far, Im quite enjoying being a vampire in Broken Fable.
Yeah drinking blood happens in vampire fiction but it’s never the main focus, the point i was trying to make is that the main draw of vampire fiction is the hidden politics and intrigue that goes along with being a 100+ yr old immortal, I mean you wouldn’t say you watch action movies just to see what food the characters are gonna eat would you?
And your right if the authors of other forms of media wanted to they could make their characters do everything vampires could but vampires are what’s popular in media right now so despite it being overdone we’ll probably be stuck with them for awhile.
The only thing we as the consumers can hope for is that they make their vampires unique like the author of this has.
Oh no no, I get that I just wonder if the sword itself has more influence on Arthur and his mind does that mean he’d be more obsessed with the fight and the kill ignoring pain and damage to himself.
The author did say before that if he gave into the sword completely he’d essentially become a killing machine and wouldn’t stop until someone manages to kill him.
When was this stated? I thought Pele’s heat was limited to the core of the Earth.
The core is hotter than the surface of the sun
Pele’s heat is not limited in any way seeing as they literally formed out of existence of a volcano. And it’s already suggested that they limit their heat since the “skin” they’re wearing is made of the same materials they used to make those bracers that can transform into other types of weapons and objects. Which if I remember right is the soil or whatever makes up the skin of volcanoes. It’s also somewhat applied near the end of Chapter 2 when the astute praetor refers to Pele as a “glow stick” since a part of their “real” skin was showing through the cracks of their human skin.
Just think of Pele as a volcanic elemental who’s wearing fake human skin to blend in and is strong enough to rival the Sun or more possibly.
Now I’m thinking if Pele could beat Lucifer and I still think they can. They most likely doesn’t have any traumas that Lucifer can take advantage of and their mental defense is probably strong enough to block it or get out of it at least. And if Lucifer starts targeting their nerve systems, like I said in the past, Pele’s body is so different that it might not work the way that Lucifer would expect it to affect them and I think it’s possible that once Pele figures out what Lucifer is targeting specifically, they might just “will” their own body to move or go without a nervous system and probably just behave like a elemental (seeing as they can regrow a lost limb). A being of elemental energy or in Pele’s case. A literal incarnate of Magma and Fire itself. Pretty sure something like that won’t have a nerve system to mess with in the first place.
And that sword ain’t gonna do nothing either when the Holy fire of that sword couldn’t even affect the Ruby Praetor. Which did make me think that Pele’s fire is somehow hotter than Holy fire and even the Ruby Praetor isn’t immune to it once they get serious about it.
I guess it depends on which part of the Sun.
The core of the Earth (6,000 Celsius) is hotter than the surface of the Sun (5,500 Celsius).
However, the core of the Sun is around 15,000 Celsius.
