Random Sun Wukong thoughts that pop into my head. If Yoru needs a paint brush could Sun just grow a few of their hairs into a new one, snap it off, and give it to her? Why does Wukong have difficulty with clothing, wouldn’t they be able to shapeshift so they are wearing clothes? Would Sun be able to shift into something that could survive in space? There were more but I got distracted and forgot them.

If the author like I suspect kept a part of the myth where Wukong literally can make clones out of himself with their hair, that might prove to be troublesome tbh

It’s been a bit since I was last reading through the story. Janus and peles update was really good. I enjoyed peles far more but I could see how interesting Janus could be after seeing what he can really do. But Pele man perhaps I just really love explosive energy and all the lava stuff. Though Ishtar and Arthur are still feel better to my taste,.But honestly what I love about this IF as you can find a Fable you enjoy and roll with it then restart and do another. Lucifer and Zeus I’m still on the fence with Wukong I will admit to barely knowing anything about them before the IF so it more of interesting (if loose interpretation but still a good idea before I head to Wikipedia or something) way to learn.

If I have my say, you shouldn’t push the author too hard just because it takes time. There are a lot of Wips that take a long time to update without multiple paths. The DLC personally it could be done later with other Fables, but now I would say no

Actually the author of dragon racer, just gave up the idea of creating a sequel for it, like there was a sequel in the making, u can even see it in dashingdon but like all authors with ambition and have many projects in mind, the author dump the idea of a sequel and went on to itch.io to make games like supernatural s1, 2 and now currently 3 and also they made throne of ashes and another game I do not remember the name of that one @Zarkrai

This is pretty much a roundabout way of saying the pace is too slow, but trust me this wip is going at a pretty good pace compared to a few of the top ones, and no I’m not talking about choice of rebels

Yeah I wonder why too. Who doesnt love to play a beautiful girl who is also extremely strong and fast. Godess of Fertility and also War. I guess people dont like genderlock. I for one only play female MCs so for me Ishtar is number one. Wouldnt want her to get the short end of the stick.

I mean, if the author wants to continue with the way things are now. I don’t have a problem with that. I just don’t want them to burn themselves out or stuffs like that.
Now it’s a little funny and still not surprising that Sun Wukong is still one of the most popular. But Lucifer being there is surprising now; especially since their Chapter 2 hasn’t even arrived yet. And why is Zeus near the bottom? I thought a good amount of people would pick them considering how powerful they are and their origin doesn’t have that whole womanizer/man eater personality in them. I mean, some myths might still mention it or that MC could even get a chance where if they get asked that question, they could decide whether they really did those things or not. Just like how in Arthur’s past you can decide whether you were a just ruler or a tyrant.

Probably because Sun Wukong is generally just more iconic. I mean Lucifer, zeus and others are too but wukong has many iteration and characters who are inspired by him like goku, naruto, luffy, and don’t forget the dozens of movies and game references.

Same here, people hate genderlock and forced romance but that’s why I like her, feels more like I’m playing as Ishtar than just a self-insert with superpowers.
it’s also the reason why I like Arthur.

The gender locking, done right, gives an author more time to give choices to customize the character and make them more fleshed out I find it. This IF has taught me that much

Zeus being near the bottom is a surprise but Wu Kong and Lucifer being at the top isn’t. Wu Kong is fun to play and watch, they have a personality that shows in their route and it’s entertaining. Lucifer is not a character people play often and has one of the most creative powers. Not to mention I feel they both have the strongest origin stories at the moment.
Zeus is powerful, but when it comes to being entertaining and powerful Pele & Wu Kong fill the niche just as well. Personally I wish Zeus’ negative attitude showed more, either in their pursuit of pleasure to cope (drugs/sex) or pride as a God due to their upbringing. A character with flaws can be more entertaining than one with none.

Just found out about this and this is so good! A really great concept for a story, may I recommend some extra stats when we choosing a character? For examples “Lucifer (+charisma)”, “Arthur(+strength)”, “Janus(+tech)” etc. I really dig this story and can’t wait for the next update!

The fables already get different stats based on who they are for example
Lucifer gets 1 technique, 2 power, 2 charisma and 2 intellect
Meanwhile Zeus gets 1 technique, 4 power, 1 charisma and 1 intellect
And during the backstory there’s also a chance to increase one of the stats
