Which WIP would you bring back from the dead?

Just to let ya know that “Your One Moment”, which I started working on ten years ago but had to set aside because of RealLife, is back on the workbench. The playable demo of the first 50k is available at https://forum.choiceofgames.com/t/your-one-moment-wip.
I mention it here because a couple of people have mentioned it in this thread, wishing it would come back.

The Abyssal, its not dead but not alive either, only leaving a limbo of torture and wait.

I will eternally miss A Drop of Night.

I look through this thread every so often and I think the ones I miss the most are definitely “Wellspring: Origin”, “Power Grab”, “Children of Iseir”, “Corruptant”, and “Duskguard”. I still hold out hope for 2-5 since they all were active within the last year, but the first is definitely dead.

I wished Odessa dating games had returned but it’s been like 6 six years so I know it’s never coming back

I forgot what the wip was called but basically the premise was playing as a child soldier who gets taken in by this agent while they try to integrate you back into a normal life?? And like you can either choose to keep your old habits or try to be a normal kid?? I remember I really enjoyed it like 5+ years ago but I’m pretty sure the author scrapped the whole idea :sob:

United We Stand! I really liked the setting!

The wip was good despite some of its flaws and lack of things.

Unfortunately the writer has been inactive for more than 4 years…

Hey! I’m extremely flattered that anyone missed my project. I actually just did a rewrite and the prologue is now finished!

This game called “Ten Million”. It’s based around a game like Survivor, and it had great characters along with the challenge and the first vote out working well where you could actually affect the vote despite onky having 2 choices. Honestly I don’t get why their aren’t more games based around Competitive Reality shows. Its such a good formula. But I guess having to write many paths based around who gets voted out and whose still in would be alot of work to do.

Yup, although it’s potentially even more of a challenge to code than to write. I remember looking at the code for Heroes Rise: The Hero Project. Of course, some of the breadth of possibility is an illusion and there are some things that are always going to way the author needs them to go, but for what actually is up to your choices, the code that determines rankings and outcomes is very complex.

I used to work on a Love Island tie-in and can confirm! A lot of our outlining time was spent structuring who was voted out at which point and what couples the characters got into in response to the player actions.

@HarrisPS
Was it the Murder Mystery one??? They don’t.make those games like they used to… Season 2 and all of it’s extras were chef’s kiss…season 3 was even decent, then everything else went downhill faaaaaaast. #BobbyFtw
