What kind of story would you love to read?

A VR fully immersive CoG!

I would love a long blade runner or Witcher style CoG,
I would pay $10-$20 easy for that

Maybe in a few years, that could happen. All you need is to wait for the tech and engine limit to improve first.

A RPG game where your choices, either good or evil, actually reward you somehow, with multiple endings that you can lock or unlock depending on your choices, where the balance among fight, stealth and diplomacy allow you to finish without confrontation or pour a single drop of blood.
The setting can be fantasy, cyberpunk, steampunk, space sci- fi or any super heroes setting

Large scale hardcore puzzle adventure game that doesnā€™t rest on the stress of action elements to stump me.

Bonus points if it fits in metroidvania elements and plenty of side quests. Real side quests I mean not that hidden collectibles junk like the casual markets use.

As far as narrative genre: something that doesnā€™t let one plot or genre bolt it down ever. If it leans towards comedy thatā€™s fine though.

A game where your MC is a mad-scientist and creates a living creature using spare body-parts that you found, with each piece affecting stats. The creatureā€™s name is customised as well. Or something involving a student at Misakatonic University

A story where you :hushed:play as a Eldritch horror and as a cultist at the same time
A game where you play as someone who doesnā€™t believe in love, only has one night stands or is aromantic and is cursed to be the next cupid or work with cupid.
A game where you play as noble in the French revolution
A game in the style of the eerie empire where you work to dominate the musical industry
Some games along those lines kinda boring, but interesting to me

Merging that game thread with this story thread looks a bit awkward. Just saying.

A Story where you start a cult leader with the potential for abuses or subversions that co.e with that type of power. But also things like do you really believe your own spiel or are you just trying to get money/power/sex/etc.

Iā€™d like to see a basketball story get completed. Iā€™ve seen a few that started off awesome, but went MIA.

Iā€™d like to read a lighthearted fantasy story with detailed magic. Barring that, I wish for more fourth-wall-breaking tales. I donā€™t think there are nearly enough stories that donā€™t take themselves too seriously, and while the heavy story offerings are extremely well-written, itā€™s not exactly my idea of pleasure reading.

Edit: Additionally, I would love more character-focused games where you can have platonic relationships with characters and still have satisfying character development and interactions. The best examples of character-focused CS games Iā€™ve seen either require a romance or strongly push for it, which somewhat hampers my enjoyment.

I also want a story were the main focus is Romance :heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

Iā€™m always a sucker for romance stories. I love the thrill of the chase, and the emotional swell. And even though I, and most readers, tend to be monogamous, thatā€™s not to say that we canā€™t habe multiple romances in one story/play through right?
I just think more open ended stories in carious settings where you can romance to your hearts content with individuals with different likes and dislikes and backgrounds would be great!
A romance game that focuses mainly on people. Not some war or grand adventure. Iā€™d like to see something like that.

Heeeey, off the the top of my head, there was a demo released early this year for a basketball game called Swish. Before that, there was a basketball game demo(forgot name) that randomized match results based on stats and choices etc etc.

I think Iā€™ve been hunting for a basketball story here since 2k15-17 lolol.

I assume that Hearts Choice Games when they eventually arrive are likely to scratch that itch. :sunglasses:
