You need less than 4 rage points to avoid loosing control and using rage on Williams gives you 2 points.
If you choose: “I’ll use just a little more Rage to be sure Williams is down for good. I can pull back when it’s all over.” you will get another rage point.
Thank you for the reply but I am still confused.
The only two instances where the option clearly states that you are using Rage is against Rost and Williams. I avoided using Rage against Rost so, presumably, I’d have 0 Rage points. However, when I then Rage against Williams and try to pull back by selecting “I have to stop now! I can’t lose control” (paraphrasing), I always lose control, Jolon is killed and I am captured by the military.
Therefore, I can only assume that there are other instances where you are unknowingly using Rage. As a combat oriented werewolf, I saved Bly by defeating the troops send to capture her, defeated the ones sent to capture me later in the game, defeated the ones that ambush you in the cell with your RO and then the ones that ambush you when Williams is revealed to be Elan.
Do any of these trigger Rage? I was trying to set up my perfect save for the sequel and I would like to join Sodoma’s revolution with Williams dead and Jolon alive.
You can get rage points in:
Chapter 7
Killing Rost
Chapter 9
Killing Justin
Shooting or directly attacking the soldiers in your house. If you attack them and your feral stat is higher than 75 you will get another point.
Chapter 10
If captured and you choose to lash out with feral>60
In the basement if you attack the soldiers with feral>59
If you use the hidden passage to attack and kill the soldiers
When ambushed if you choose to fight and have feral >64
Chapter 11
If you escape the trap and choose to kill Williams. You can get another point if you’re with Bly or Tivia and choose ‘‘She’s not stealing my kill from me! Williams is mine!’’
When Keller and his men appear and you choose to fight them
Chapter 12
Using captured vehicles to run down the soldiers.
Fake surrender and then choose ‘‘We cut off their escape and kill every last one of them. No mercy for werewolf-killers.’’
Stand against overwhelming odds.
Fight Williams using rage
That’s perfect, thank you very much.
Wow, thank you Saprook!! That’s above and beyond the call of duty!
But yeah, @MisterJB the hidden rage variable goes up not only when you specifically invoke the Rage skill, but when you take rage-based actions with high feral scores. I considered it giving in to the beast within. It’s absolutely possible to be a fighter in the game without killing at every opportunity, though. There’s no intention to rule out any playstyle–everything is valid.
Also, I can’t remember all the specifics, but one of the things I wanted to do in the late-game battle was make the player make a very difficult choice: Do you risk letting Jolon (or sometimes Dena) die or do you stop Williams? It’s possible–but difficult–to do both, but doing both successfully an exception rather than the rule. It’s even possible to fail both. Sometimes you just can’t win them all, and that’s okay. We all make our own stories and that’s half the fun.
I’m generally fairly forgiving with stats in my games (I find games where you have to constantly micro-manage your stats to be tedious) but in the end-game they do tend to matter more.
Thanks for playing, and thanks again @Saprook for your help!
I’m late to the party but I’m really looking forward to playing the sequel soon.
Anyone know how to get the stat requirements to get the detective achievement
I’m not sure that you need stats for that achievement. Have you tried going directly to the ritual site and then inspecting it before running after the pack?
Is there an achievement or ending guide . Will be appreciated.
I am pretty damn late to this party , but can anyone tell me how to get , help a friend overcome mental illness , bloody revenge achievements
The first one is easy. When Bly is being hunted by the military, choose to investigate the apartments. You’ll find Tiva there. Take her to Ahote yourself.
The second one is harder to get. You’ll need a LOT of Combat. During the finale, after Elan shows up but right before you’re trapped in the decontamination center, when asked what you will do if it’s a trap, say that you’ll fight your way out if necessary. If you have enough Combat, you’ll be able to defeat the guards when they attack you.
Afterwards you’re going to need even more Combat because you’ll have to select to fight Williams to the death and he is a tough cookie.
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!!! you are a lifesaver friend
My dude , how do we join williams in book 1
Yes, please i never got that ending as well, going to check steam, maybe there is a playthrough
Nvm i actually got thay ending in ch while rescuing Dena dont get sidetracked in other events save her asap , while escaping with her investigate the door your mother’s locket opened and elan will appear , follow elan and when you are locked with elan dony attack him but question him instead there will be options about questioning him , you need feral less than 50 btw , during questioning make sure you are not antagonistic to his ideas and you’ll get the option to join him , the story also continues in book 2 and pkays a part but i think it will truly shine in book 3
Hey guys.
I just finished my playthrough for the sequel, and a scene that i remember from my first playthrough that i didn’t get in my recent one is the one where i find Bly in a feral state.
In my current run the last time i saw Bly was after i saved her in the Snarl, i don’t remember her showing up after that.
Did i miss something?
You have to fail saving her from the soldiers when Jolon tells you she
is on the run and hiding from them.
Damn, thanks so much, i can’t believe i never agreed with him, i got
that scene maybe 3 playthrough’s
but always reacted negatively.
How to get Victory Achievement/How to win the final battle against the military?
I’m still missing all 4 Hidden Achievements. Does anyone know how you get them?
