"Werewolves 3: Evolution's End"—The ultimate battle of humans vs. werewolves!

Also is this intended? I chose “if this procedure works we should work out how to scale it” only for my character to immediately want to tear maker a new hole immediately after. I feel like it’s kinda jarring to see

It’s the inner beast’s influence, specifically the feral part of your nature rebelling against the thought of having it be artificially controlled, regardless of your more intellectual opinions.

There are quite a few places where the beast within will take issue with external events, especially when the feral plague is exerting its influence n the pack.

Made more simple: It’s showing the war between your bestial side and your intellectual side, which is one of the main themes of the series.

Ooooh that happened in mine as well. Was confused as to why it goes differently when I get a different ending at book 2

Also i found this, winters talking about her being pregnant again on chapter 9 even though she already talked to me about it in bly’s gym and my pc acts as if this is news

Thanks for the heads up–I’ve submitted a fix for that Winter bit. It might be a few days till the patch ships, but it’s been solved on this end.

There is a huge difference in B1 for Bly versus Dena.

I don’t have a screenshot for Dena. The line says “into her mouth.” I feel that it should be “to her mouth.” Becoming a bit more neutralized.

Unlike Dena, Bly felt right as two women. Dena doesn’t feel right. Dena wouldn’t put a woman into her mouth, technically being opposite.

Bly even uses breasts versus Dena using chest.

Whomever stated they are similar. Nope! I feel like a woman with Bly. I don’t with Dena.

Is there only one ending btw? I’ve tried my best and i only ever managed to get mission complete ending, i was i would see a new ending if i ran away with dad but then winter came and set the story back to its original course

Yes though the author has said that parts of the 4th game will change base off who is alive or dead and your relationship with them

Since the topic was recent, I must contribute that of my intimate scenes with Jolon so far, my favorite and “tender” part, so to speak, has been the part with the socks.

I also imagined a scene similar to that of Malcolm in the Middle where Hal and Lois would spend an intimate moment after a week of forced chastity. And when Hal was about to take off a tool belt (because before that he was doing house maintenance) his wife asks him to keep the belt on.

In this case it was my MC watching Jolon undress until he asked him to continue with her socks.

I don’t know, for some reason I thought that socks would have symbolism in Jolon, An evolution from that serious and sombre Jolon to this loving Jolon, which is welcoming to the MC And, at least for the first intimate moment, Jolon gives himself an open door to the comforts outside of Haven and for me it would have been credible that after that conversation, Jolon still had his socks on.

I think the same about the scene inside The Nail prison, Where I think it was a cold and gloomy place and to be comfortable in such a place, it would be good not to touch the cold floor directly with the bare feet of my MC and Jolon And for this I also see the use of socks as feasible for comfort.

My conclusion is that I see socks as symbols linked to the ability to be a Master Hunter; because in order to move stealthily, comfort is required on the feet; But I also see it as an opportunity for Jolon to enjoy comforts not seen before in Haven and being my MC’s partner, he shares a part of himself with my MC, both in a normal and intimate way.

Sorry for the length of this comment, I don’t want to seem presumptuous or anything. It was just something that came to my mind for some reason XD.

Emm … - I’m more into anthropomorphism and animalism, anything related to that. So when I read a book, I try to imagine the characters in their fluffy wolf form all the time. Well I guess it would be funny to see Jolon in long socks in wolf form. Especially the comical moment when he tries to take them off and his claws get tangled in the fabric.
Maker, I know for a fact, loves big bunny slippers, and wears them when no one is looking. Because all the crazy evil scientists wear them)

I had to choose between Maker and dad and i couldn’t even ride off into the sunset with either of them…

My life is painful

I’m curious if anyone else felt the same way, but I think Book 3 does a great job of making Sonoma into a more interesting character.

Personally, up until Book 2 she was outshined by our more colorful cast of antagonists (Mainly Maker and Williams), but I really like the direction she’s took in Book 3.

Now that she’s losing control over the situation she’s in, it shows a more personal and vulnerable side of the character, which humanizes her. Not to mention the literal humanization that could potentially happen to her at the end of Book 3. It’s such a great foil for the character, and brilliantly sets up the potential for a redemption arc at Book 4. Coming to terms of being the very thing she hated, I see there’s a huge opportunity for character growth.

That got me wondering though, just how redeemable was Sonoma in the first place? Since the author so kindly graces us with responses here, I want to ask if she only used captured HSM members for her inhumane science projects. If so, was it a matter of conscience, or simple convenience?

Sonoma is such a great character. She may be every bit as much a fanatic as Maker or Williams, but without their grandiosity. The selflessness of her commitment to the cause commands my begrudging respect at the same time that it’s absolutely terrifying. When I played as a self-insert, she was everything my character was determined never to be, but it’s very tempting to covet the kind of certainty that would allow you to stop wrestling with your conscience for once in your life.

I think it would be feasible if it weren’t for the fact that being a wolf takes energy, and so do intimate moments between mammals. If being wolves, they do that, I think it would end badly like in the Kotori’s birth.

On the other hand, if something like this were to happen, I would see it as feasible that some ROs would opt more for intimate moments in wolf form than others. A high frequency of transformation would be expected from Bly, Augury, and Inferi.I would expect a medium frequency from Jolon and a low frequency from Dena due to the frequency at which they transform into wolves despite not being in combat.

The paths all dovetail into the same ending sequence, but whoever you kill/save/allow to die will have a very big effect on the mid to end game of Werewolves 4. I’ve already written out a complete outline of what happens in a Maker ally ending, and I’m halfway through designing a Williams ally ending for players who left him alive. If Sonoma is saved, she’ll also have some very interesting possibilities mid-game.

That was one of my favourite parts to write and all the responses to it are a lot of fun, especially if the MC responds like ‘The socks are my favourite part’ and he asks if he should take them off and put them back on again slower

I’ll be honest and say that I didn’t put quite as much thought into it as that, but I absolutely love reading your interpretation. I loved it so much, in fact, that I’ve copied your notes here and put them into a text file called ‘Jolon’s Socks’ in my W3 folder, so that 5 years from now I’ll come across it, wonder what on earth it is, and then smile when I read it again.

Oh, I hear you. I spent over a decade in the furry community back in the day. I still likes what I likes, even though it’s not my community anymore. (Adulting took too much time and I just eventually stopped going to conventions.)

checks notes Yeah, that’s canon, now.

I was thinking the same thing while making my outlines. She’ll end up with a few choices in the second third of the game that will hit on what you said above.

Generally speaking, she only purposefully chose to experiment on the people who had come after her (HSM, military, etc…) but I intentionally left things open to the idea that she may have ‘looked the other way’ a time or two, especially during the time she was collaborating with Maker and had other things on her plate.

It’s quite gratifying to hear that she came off that way. There are times where I worried that she may have come off a bit flat as a character, but what you wrote is almost exactly how I was hoping she’d be seen by my readers!

The problem with Kotori’s birth was the shifting during the birthing process. Big no-no. Sex while in wolf form isn’t the most common kind of intimacy, but it definitely happens. I wrote it into at least one scene in Werewolves 2–I think it was the M/M Dena scene, believe it or not. I was experimenting.

If I regret anything about the way I wrote the sex scenes in Werewolves 3, it was not doing a wolf form sex scene with Bly. I held back a little bit because folks have said I favour Bly too much on the RO front and I wanted to try evening things out since I’d already gone full voyeurism/butt-play kink in Bly’s chapter 2 shower scene.

Well I’m looking more at male ROs, so I’ll be hoping for moments like this with Jolon, Dena and Kotori in book four. Kotori’s path I haven’t read yet, but I remember him having problems with his legs in wolf form. I hope there’s some way to help him.

Just a quick note since I’m here:

If you want to support my work and see more of it, please please write a review on the platform of your choice. Steam reviews for Werewolves 3 have been… almost non-existent for whatever reason, and there have been precious few Google Play reviews, too.

So if you have 5 minutes at some point today and you have a Steam account or Google Play account, please consider leaving a short review if you enjoyed the game. It’s worth its weight in gold, I promise you.

If you’re on Android but you’re using the omnibus app, remember that you can download the standalone Werewolves 3 app for free, open it a few times, then leave a legitimate review on Google Play.

You can also follow me on Twitter (yeah, I know) here: Greek Winter Twitter

And check out my Patreon where I have tons of free stories and a selection of premium ones as well: Jeffrey Dean’s Patreon

Well, now that I know there’s interest, maybe I’ll write a scene each where there is the option of shifting during spicy times. That might be fun and good options for everyone!

My life has been… interesting, to say the least. Very high highs, very low lows. Ultimately worth it :stuck_out_tongue:

You did something very interesting with Sonoma. She’s bad news, really bad news. But when compared to Maker and Williams, she’s arguably the least horrible option, to me at least. And that’s saying something.

There is no clear cut “here’s the good, evil and nuetral faction/ending option” and I legitimately didn’t know who to side with during Sonoma and Maker’s fight until I was forced to make that choice; and I made that choice without knowing if it was the right one.

But you also wrote Sonoma in a way that makes me think she’s actually capable of changing for the better since you see different sides of her in Book 3. But even then, there’s still just enough doubt there to make me question whether siding with her is a good idea.

I held back a little bit because folks have said I favour Bly too much on the RO front

I wouldn’t say you focused too much on Bly. She’s the only Book 1 RO who’s guaranteed to survive no matter what, so it makes sense she gets more focus than Jolon and Dena since you don’t have to account for the possibility that Bly is dead in someone’s playthrough.

That is what I then think about regarding the artistic symbolism of nudity or also the way of having an intimate relationship, both physically and emotionally, with each RO.

In my daily life, I remember that when they wanted to refer to someone who is naked, they say “They are as God brought them into the world.” And in analogy to the story of Adam and Eve, being born naked is an analogy of an “original” way of being born. The physical meaning of this interpretation could now be linked to werewolves. If, let’s say, they are born with parents in wolf form or human form, that could be where their “wild” or “civilized” personality lies.

But also, nudity represents vulnerability, similar to a newborn who is unable to defend himself and that the naked individual is able to share his nudity with his partner, sure that he will not receive any harm, which will make their relationship deeper and more loving. And this gives way to getting to know their partner in a more “intimate” way; the simplest example would be knowing how to stimulate the other’s body, but it also represents knowing their psyche, their heart to know their afflictions to know how to comfort them as their partner.

And that’s what I see so far in Jolon and Dena. Jolon, on the surface, was someone serious, distant and very afraid of taking the next step in the relationship, then we saw his love for soft fabric and cooking as well as his concern for finding his father, which allowed my MC to contemplate this deeper phase of Jolon, his joy and his sorrow. Finally, in intimacy, Jolon and my MC, Jolon loves the slow process of contemplating the erotic beauty of the other because he knows that life is not guaranteed, nor does he believe in a “higher goal”, he is dedicated to enjoying the present to the fullest and protecting what he has now with my MC. This is the journey I have seen so far with Jolon.

And Dena, from what I’ve seen, is usually a “proper” girl at first glance, perhaps a bit “prudish” to anyone who looks down on her, but she genuinely cares about the pack and her younger companions. It’s already in part two that we experience a Dena who has matured more and dedicated herself to training her body more to be prepared unlike the battle in Haven that almost killed her. And in this phase of physical training, she experiences more what it’s like to feel the wolf inside her and thanks to her intellectual curiosity, she is determined to explore and get to know the beast that resides within her heart, but this journey of self-exploration, she will not do it alone, she will do it in the company of her partner the MC.

And it is in these intimate scenes with her, that she gets very dominant with my MC, she wants to experience being wild with her own bodily pleasure. First it was completely naked as humans and then as Wolves. Now with Dena eating some raw meat. And what will come next? Wearing a robe or any easy to take off garment for an intimate moment like a buttoned shirt or a skirt? Thinking about that last thing made me feel that it would be an interesting symbol of duality between this “correct” side of Dena with her “wild” side with my MC.

With this last point I think this could be considered speculation on my part but honestly, I love symbolism and for some reason, I see that in things as mundane as an intimate relationship.

And this will cover Jolon and Dena for now because so far they are the two ROs with whom I have experienced my story.
