"Werewolf: The Apocalypse — The Book of Hungry Names"—Unleash Rage and wield spirit to heal the land and rebuild your fallen pack

Guys, Nin Romance is very… Wolf-like in the bedroom. and as the story tells it’s very weird/odd in 20 different ways.

I think I remember someone was saying about the steamy honka bonka with Elton, but I think it’s possible with every character, you just need high enough relationship and have to focus on the relationship when you get the chance.

I love the bit where the MC keeps finding it odd that she keeps turning away from them, and then just goes, “Oh. Right. Wolf.”

Also, I can’t believe it took me THIS long to realise it but… Nin is called Nin because
Untitled
Nine Inch Nails, isn’t she?

Actually, her full name is Ashley Nin, and she got her surname from Anaïs.

My thoughts exactly!

It’s in her nature, but getting her to do it like a Human definitely seems to have made her enjoy it more and try something that she usually wouldn’t do.

You can actually ask her about this and she basically says “lol no”. I forget the exact dialogue path where I did it, though. Probably in the first house hangout, because I’d have found it in a run where Nin wasn’t the RO.

@AletheiaKnights @KZV Basically the only criticism I have of BoHN is that you only get to pick one option from each dialogue choice with the pack instead of more fully exploring the dialogue tree, because these people are great, and I’d love to know more about them.

@Kestoren And then you get a line that got me rofling: “Hey, what have you guys been doing?” Getting fucked! "

But honestly, one of my favourite Nin things (one that I don’t even know if it’s romance-route-specific or not) is near the end of the game when you’re almost naked in the snow and she wraps herself around your legs in lupus form to keep you warm.

On that note I… Never had anyone even question where my MC and Nin were and what were doing, I may or may not have had the scenario happen in Melodies apartment hehe.

That’s from the second Hog Throne concert, during the “let’s deal with the Fenris” mission. When you come back to the concert you run into Trevor, which starts that thing. Trevor then goes “Oh, um, er… Heeeyyyyy, MC, weird conversation we’re having, right?”

Big same. I’d love to actually get to talk to Nin about stuff on runs where you’re romancing her, but there’s so many times you only get a few choices and it’s not like I’m gonna not pick the romance options.

I get torn right on the first visit, when the options include both a flirt (“she looks really good in that shirt”) and asking her if she has everything she needs, because, like, girl just re-earned her Garou-ness and that took ritually sacrificing a dude, maybeeee I should check on her before hitting on her, just a thought.

As I said, torn. XD (I ended up checking on her)

But on the other hand, she does look really good in that shirt…

I really wish there was more time to actually go on dates, spend time with your date and converse with them. Plus, who wouldn’t like spending more time banging their wolf girlfriends/boyfriends? Haha

Maybe opening up more options to buy more stuff or improving your cabin/choosing where you wanna move in like with your romance option for example, plus buying new weapons and/or armour would be cool, especially other clothing and choosing what to wear would go a long way.

Eh, BoHN already has 1.6 million words in it and so many moving parts I’m impressed they didn’t crash into each other more, I don’t think we really need more activities in it*. I’d be content in just being able to pick more than one option in the dialogue choices during meet-ups/dates, where you’re not in any time pressure in-universe.

*but if you want to make a Garou Group Chat Content DLC…

I worked with them. After all, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

you have to treat the litany as though it were a cancer basically. I was struggling to get it on my theurge playthrough, going out of my way to go against it and it still wasn’t enough. You basically gotta start the game hating the Litany lol

I allowed it because Elton gave a very convincing argument for it that I couldn’t logically deny but I made sure to save everyone i could though and on a few occasions i managed to save everyone.

Do you? Because JUST the meeting with the shade of Eyes-of-Clay dropped me from Litany 3 to 1 and I wasn’t trying (it was actually a hassle, because I wanted Hjuki and dude wants about 10 tons of Litany), so I can’t see how going full negative can be all that hard.

The ACTUAL problem with going negative Litany isn’t that it’s hard, it’s what you’re giving up, because the easiest way to drop the Litany Conviction is to not respect your elders (which, is, y’know, literally every Garou in the game, even if the Fenris and Eater-of-Names are excluded from the disrespect-safe list), which means you’re probably also tanking your relationship with them.

Katharine’s gift is basically a supplement for when you don’t have enough to pass a stat, so I would recommend doing whatever you need for that to be one of, if not, the first you get because otherwise, it’s kinda useless. I got her gift last and used only one dot of the first spirit that I binded. And you need less then 35 at litany, so basically 3 dots, you can change the stats to show as number if that would help.

Depending on your build, also super-useful to get very very very fast: Mirror, so you can give zero craps about the Rage penalty.

I lost the wolf before I got the mirror, still got rage back but the mirror helps when you need to shift in a desperate moment. (I did end up getting the mirror after that incident haha)

I got the Mirror because I was playing an INT, CHA, and MAN philodox, and sometimes you don’t get chances to burn Rage before you have to make those checks, and I am having ABSOLUTELY none of that.
