Way Walkers: University3--suggestions and feedback

Canonically, only Shelly has been given a last name in the novels: Shelly Alberith (I think, it’s been a bit and I’m not at my computer so forgive me if I have to edit the spelling later :upside_down_face:) The other I actually can’t remember if they’re in my notes or not, but I’ll check when I get a chance

This is of course, not counting Jun, whose full name changed based on the MCs homeland, and Semryu, whose last name he likes to down-play, but you can find it out at the end of WWU2

Hi new reader here, greatly enjoyed the first too books dlc included, it is true that I agree with the others up there that the clubs could have played a more relevant role on WayWalkers2 as the drama plays were really entertaining on book 1 and was kinda of a miss opportunity not to continue on said direction on the sequel.

Concerning romance Kess was such a sweetheart to persue, I believe beyond the dance you can actually get more intimate with her kissing and such if you go check out the statues with her before the history exam, that alone was slightly disappointing specially with my MC that is all about the Way of Love and relationships, give us spicy content there as it would make all the sense in the world.

Your worldbuilding was impressive, specially liked the strangeness of all the embassies in Book 1 and how you discover the cultures of all these races but by bit perfect for a reader to explore even more so when the narrative rewarded you with gifts after surpassing certain trials, every class activity or event was particularly enjoyable and would love more interactions with the lads and lassies that are your classmates.

Now regarding the cast gotta say that I was not a fan of Jun far too boring and concerned about stuff that didn’t matter to me much honestly kept up the front of the relationship but little else, Sem chasing over that woman wrongly accused of practising the Way of Red was annoying at times and ditching that chase to hang out with Kess was more satisfying than anything else you can imagine, Cael was an intriguing antagonist kinda on the archetype of the suspicious teacher that we all very much love on Academy based stories(As an old fan of Severus a little cheer for the character), really liked Bearys(Berys) with all his scenes on Book 1 that “dead truths” fragment was amazing with my MC defending his village’s snack at any cost, regarding the other teachers they were really forgettable nothing else to comment.

Overall an amazing duo of novels, just a little sad I didn’t find them earlier and that with all the years since 2013(was a lad of 10 back then damn!) there is still not a Book 3 to close the trilogy, read all about your difficulties with losing your notebooks and planning but hopefully nowadays Book 3 is closer than ever!

Thank you for your kind words and support! And yes we’re working on it just a lot of stumbling blocks, sadly. But every day a little bit more gets done.

Will see what you have going on there, do you also have a Tumblr? Tumblr is a great way to interact with COG/Hosted fans as many other authors have proven before.

Great to hear you two are still creating and writing content, best of luck and will be watching!

I e tried the Tumblr several times but just can’t get it going. Too much else to do :person_shrugging::person_facepalming::upside_down_face:

It’s easier to put attention in to one major platform – more time to write.

Oh wow, I played the first two Way Walker University games back in 2014, when I was actually 14 years old just like the characters in the game (can’t believe that’s a decade ago now). I hadn’t really checked the forum since then and just kind of assumed you had abandoned the third game at some point, but I am so glad to see I was wrong and that you are actually still working on it! I loved these games so much and I should really replay them soon!

Thank you. And yeah we never abandoned it, life has just been a bit crazy and sadly we just can’t afford to work on it full time. But we do work as much as we’re able and we’re still plugging along. It’s really 3/4 done at this point we’re just pushing to finish.

And if you’re interested in previews or additional content, do check out the Patreon. We’ve got a lot going on over there.

I was under the impression that it was the first semester the first episode, the second semester the second, and the third would be to graduate to second tier, pick our way, and go with that. If we aren’t going to second tier are we going to have a cute summer vacation episode? (Maybe a romantic beach scene?)
