VERSUS: The Lost Ones -- Eliminate your enemies by stealing their powers!

I loved Versus… and was sad when it ended.

I didn’t really think it ended on a bad note because it came one round from the beginning of the story. Also it’s forward-looking in a way that you know what to expect from the next instalment.

I loved the author’s style of writing and to me, the world and characters are immersive. The game tends to push choices to you / not have much variation in the outcome of choices, but in a way I guess that is a trade-off in being able to build the plot. In different playthroughs I do feel like I can play as characters with differing motivations so that I don’t necessarily feel that the ‘railroading’ of choices was too extreme.

Also, loved Oli, but wonder why he / she is the only character who will change genders based on your choices of attraction. In that sense, Oli = Black Magic in that you’re supposed to like this character?

This one looks so good. I wish I had the extra cash to spare to buy it on Steam.

THIS IS SO GOOD BETTER THAN HEROES SERIES cough
that is to say my only complain is that I can’t save the game just yet. because my first playtrough is my most genuine choice and I want that for my main continuation for next episodes

I am so glad I gave Versus a second look. While the first part was incredibly unwelcoming to get in to (especially with the constant STOP BEING INCONSISTENT warnings flashing up and the infodump of lore), the characters, atmosphere, and everything is fantastic. The second and third parts elevated this even above Hero’s Rise for me.

Super looking forward to the second part especially since I wasn’t particularly fond of Venuma or Breeze but still wanted to play the part of the rebel. I’m a sucker for mysterious characters so having a story that will be more involved with Oli and the Unpronounceable One (did he even have a name?) makes me totally excited.

I just finished playing the Demo and wasn’t exactly thrilled. The writing is a bit awkward, the environment is strange, there are lots of info dumps, and also lots of characters popping in from nowhere and very quickly disappearing. As a result I don’t feel much of a connection to either the characters or the story. It’s all a bit surreal and disjoint. From the comments of others here, it sounds like it improves when you get a bit deeper into the game, but that doesn’t help the Demo. As a result, I don’t feel any particular urge to buy the game. Unless the game is really short, I’d recommend lengthening the demo to create a better hook.

Still reading through this at the moment, but so far I’m hooked. I can’t get enough!

Just got the game recently and am still reading through it. Just wondering: why was there not an option to volunteer for the match ourselves? Especially going the neutral route? Our character isn’t really given too much information about how dangerous the match is if we don’t have a super high relationship with Breeze or Venuma. I feel like the most direct way to solve this problem is to simply volunteer ourselves. I just feel a little pigeon-holed into a non-existent dilemma.

You mean for the voting of who enters the deathmatch? Keep reading. Breeze and Venuma is right, whoever enters that match has no chance of survival for many reasons. And I forgot his name so I’m calling him Farmer Joe, he wasn’t convinced to join Venuma’s little posse and proved a difficulty. The only neutral path to take is to stay out of it.

Well, the problem is that you’re opening yourself up to a very real possibility of dying while you have your homeland at stake, you’re leaving the Blot Queen running amok, you haven’t found out anything about the Hero Guy (forget his name now). There are a lot of stakes that would make a sacrifice like that a bit out of character for the protagonist.

It might have made an interesting alternate ending though, since it’s apparent that there would be no other outcome in that match other than death.

I suggested the possibility of trying to volunteer during play test, I guess they didn’t like the idea. Oh well

Has anyone been able to get the Family Falters achievement? No matter what I choose, I never get it.

Choose the Ruthless and Rebellion opinion, then choose that you never had a choice.

it’s in the first part when your mother asked if you will accept the command position. choose B (lying).

I was wondering if it’s possible to romance multiple people and if there is any consequences in doing so?

The only ones you can have a relationship with at the same time are Venuma and Breeze, If you flirt with a lot of people before the choice on who to romance in the 2nd game shows up it is not acknowledged.

Just don"t pick any of the sexual or romantic options, if you want to play as an asexual character. It’s not that difficult… Neither sex, nor romance, are compulsory in the game…

How do you get the Easy Breezy achievement? As well as Allies close…?

Is it possible to get highest political status achievement as genuine rebellion?

Oh it seems I can’t get highest political status achievement if I romance Breeze
