Upcoming releases discussion

So excited for Hunter: The Reckoning! VTM: Night Road had a great car list, hope to see that again while getting to play as a puny mortal.

I apologize if I’m overstepping, but I think the CoG team prefer not to have discussion on the Upcoming Releases post, so I moved the comments that were left there to their own thread so people can have a place to discuss the upcoming games they’re excited about.

I’ve been looking forward to the Demon Recollect rewrite(?). At least i think its a rewrite.

Really liked it, so if the author chose to polish it all up AND add new stuff then I’m beyond excited.

The whole “Godslayer” plot, just loved it.

There’s quite a few stories I’m at least a little curious about in there, glad to see that CoG has a decent stable for the year lined up it looks like. I really hope Heroes of Tomorrow and the fantasy stuff all turns out to be good!

This is for the choice of games staff but the upcoming hosted games releases 2026 thing is missing. Ps is anyone else having it gone or is it just me having this issue.

Not just you. I don’t see it as well. For what it’s worth, Samurai of Hyuga 6 is coming out in May. Off the top of my head, I think Velocity and These Reluctant Years are in the publishing pipeline. The Oracle of Phoros is in the mandatory 1 month beta testing phase. I don’t know if there’s anything else…

Not just you I thought maybe there was a delay at first but May is almost over and still no list. I was hoping for an official notice or comment to quell the anxiety I have over it’s absence. I have abandonment issues :frowning:

Samurai of Hyuga 6 is coming out in about half a day from now.

Velocity is targeting a July 2 release date.

These Reluctant Years and The Oracle of Phoros have been submitted, but no word (as far as I know) from HG yet.

As a HG author, I can’t say I’m not disappointed that the HG release schedule hasn’t been published almost halfway into 2026, since HG authors need it for marketing and to get the word out, but I’ve no control over such things. :upside_down_face:

CCH3 does have a page on steam, too, but no release date I think

Hi. Anyone knows anything about the God of Chaos game that has a steam page but no mention in the list?

What you can see on Steam is all that’s been publicly released about the game.

I do hope that everything is alright for the company, not to mention the authors who’ve published stuff lately. I’m a long way away from being in a position to submit a finished draft of Pactbinder, so it isn’t something that I’m putting much thought into at the moment at all (less productive than just sitting down and writing!), but it does seem like the last few months have been challenging for ChoiceScript releases in a number of ways, at least from the outside looking in.

I know they’ve been busy lately, but it’s gone on long enough that I really hope everyone’s okay.

I was hoping it’s just my own irrational anxiety and nothing is wrong. I also wondered if they perhaps decided to stop having upcoming HG threads and didn’t announce it because those were never anything officially set in stone anyhow.

CoG/HC release dates aren’t set in stone any more than HG releases are. In fact, HG release dates are probably less likely to change, because they usually don’t start trying to fit them into the release schedule until they’re finished being written.

Could the new(-ish) content policies of some platforms have something to do with it? Some titles like SoH 6 or CCH3 are not available on steam over here and iirc that had something to do with devs/publishers having to declare contents differently? And then there’s the whole age verification in some countries.

There’s more control by the staff here over the content of CoG and HC games than HG

Oh I know, I just thought it might be a case of HG being the one cut since they never advertised as much for that label anyhow. I also had the thought that there simply may not be enough games coming out any time soon for HG to bother? There’s only been three this year thus far.
