No. It’ll be announced by the CoG staff when they do know because the writer doesn’t control when it’ll be released.
It hasn’t gone through official beta testing yet so it’ll be longer than that. The dates are estimates rather than set in stone.
Ok new theory, Nora is the Adversary
if you play a vilain and kill the team at the end of the demo she attack you
but unless she can see the future we can assume that she is here in the base for another reason and that after seing you kill the team she decided to avenge them or that you simplified what she wanted to do killing the team or she came to take back the Pill of doser
another thing that make me think that Nora is the adversary is that when you fight the team with enhanced sense and take a doser pill you have this
and like I said we know for the moment that there is only the team at the base but we can assume that Nora is infiltrating at this moment the base so the MC could be talking about her
There is also the fact that Nora Parent were killed by terrorist anti meta human that thought super power were hereditary so creating a pill that can give super power to anyone could be a way for nora to have a revenge beyond the grave toward those people by proving them wrong and giving everyone power a thing that this terrorist organisation would hate, we know that Nora was very angry to be stopped in her vengence so that could be the best way that she found
Finally I remember the author explaining that the super hero path will give us the choice to join the vilain but why would the MC trust a vilain… unless the vilain is also one of his childhood friend in the person of Nora that try to convince the MC and the team too join her
My villain only wants to apply the death penalty to those who kill. One can argue that the team doesn’t deserve to be attacked, but by trying to arrest my villain, they are simply creating a butterfly effect for themselves. Thelma from zombie Exodus describes it best in the museum, but that’s neither here nor there.
My man Zaper has no flaws, bless your soul. My doubts have been destroyed, and my anticipation for the game’s release is back in full swing. Força aí, parceiro, que tu não falha.
Possible, although i think Thelma makes a much more logical candidate, between her background, skillset, circumstances and what the game shows the player about her.
How can I have a pill having senses as a power
When Flip attack you one of the option is to take a pill
Thelma. Dont know much about her yet. Heroic path doesnt delve much into her yet. She was very cheery, extrovert soon as I met her.
Actually, the only requirement to be mayor is to engage with Derek in small talk as element specialist, and have 7+ Presence (which is complete waste of exp but, hey):
*label youAndDerek
Flit and ${leftBehind} shouldn't take long to arrive. @{(lilithBrowsing) While Lilith busies herself with her social media, you and Derek remain by yourselves|In the meantime, you and Derek find yourselves alone in the main hall}.
//...
It's clear that he's trying to make small talk. @{(angryAtDerek) Perhaps because he remains uncomfortable with the way your last interaction ended.|}
*choice
//...
#I engage in small talk with him. It can't hurt.

*elseif (mentorType = 3)

*selectable_if (presence >= 7) #I campaigned for myself, in my civil identity. And I endorsed myself, in my superhero identity. @{krl [Presence]|}
*set imTheMayor true
Well I wanted to be extra careful by giving him or her what I think allowed me to become mayor in the demo game.
I’ve been here a while now and still had no idea that was the process, let alone that the two had different processes.
Thanks for all your clarifications, legit educational!
@MahatmaDagon Congrats on all of your work and we all appreciate your detailed response. I’ve been partial to DLC releases for this title since I found it, myself. A sequel would obviously be great, but that would be a hell of a lot more work than some additions to what’s in this one.
Awesome, glad to be of help! For others interested, the beta testing for CoG and HC gets announced in this category and also gets pinned to the top of the forum when it first starts.
I haven’t read every post in this thread, so forgive me if this has been brought up already either here or somewhere I haven’t seen in the game itself. But … several of Derek’s Dudes were drinking the spiked punch at the party, and I’m a little curious about how that works out. Does Derek have to avoid re-absorbing his Dudes for several hours to avoid alcohol poisoning?
Also, please allow me to say that I don’t mind having to wait for a sequel or DLC for an ending to the story, but please please please promise me now that when the time comes I can inflict a brutally nasty death on Oakes, even if I’m otherwise a paragon of heroism.
If i’m not mistaken Derek absorbs memories, not physical effects/conditions of his Dudes. Additionally, in this particular case the punch isn’t actually spiked with any alcohol, Thelma was bullshitting MC about it and potentially reveals it later.
No, it’s the generic part with “we should all have a party” at the base, after Thelma shows up and before the shit potentially hits the fan.
When dude was shot. He was dealing with the memory of the shot but not the consequences. Means his drunk dudes will affect him momentarily until it desolves. It takes him a moment. He wouldnt be physically affected except trying to cope mentally for a moment. The one dude almost died and he got to the hill.
So the hero party path exists now? I can go to party with Thelma now?
It was mentioned before when one of his Dudes went missing in Mexico, Derek found him drunk and when he reabsorbed him he became drunk too. He would get drunk if he reabsorbed all of them at the same time but idk if it’ll give him alcohol poisoning or if he can protect himself from injuries or the like when reabsorbing.
As someone who has seen several time travel based shows and movies the Time War scenes are my absolute favorite despite the utter mind feck it gave me trying to understand wtf was going on fully lmao
