Are you sure about that? I don’t think that “cursing entire lands” counts as a misunderstanding.
Does the Arkus Corporation have any connection to the actual dragon or it’s just a name?
And basically in your world the black death and other major plagues like that were caused by Darius? That seems very evil. I wanted to learn dark magic but after learning about him I’d rather learn something else, maybe you could convince Mana/Aurelia to teach your their magic?
He is just playing with some petty humans. Like when people pee on that hole in the ground where ants live .(forgot word)
PS:
When learning dark magic, is it necessary to become a necromancer? Id like to use just dark manipulation and maybe curses.
Like
random person: “you dark user, people like u are not welcome here, necromancers and deceivers all of u!!”
me: " but i dont use necromancy ( unless extremily needed)"
Random person:" deceiver"
me:“but i dont lie”
random person:" … Doesnt matter. Ur not welcome here."
I think it would be cool if every dragon had a quest, similar to the Daedra quests in Skyrim.
Some of them would have powerful rewards but either have high stat checks or be morally wrong. Like Darius could teach you very powerful dark magic but you’d have to sacrifice your lover/one of your friends or do some other evil thing.
The Arkus Corporation is actually connected to Arkus himself. He works together with the Inventors and Researchers of the corporation to create newer inventions. Also, as I said in my post about him, Arkus used his gathered knowledge to create the first “Arctech” devices. I think it’s now clear, why the Arkus Corporation is the world leader in the production and development of “Arctech” devices.
Pretty much. Darius was responsible for a lot of the great plagues and diseases that shocked the world.
Also do you remember the part were Lyra had to stop him at certain points in history, because he went to far. The black death might have been one of these events.
This might actually be a Option for your character. Especially for the Half Dragon MC, who is connected to both Mana and Aurelia in some way.
No, you don’t have to become a necromancer when learning the arts of Darkness. You can focus on certain arts like Shadow Manipulation or Curses, while leaving out arts like Necromancy or Blood Magic.
Looking forward to meeting all the Dragons!
So we can learn the dark arts but not cross the line of light to dark?
It depends on the arts you want to learn. For example, Shadow Manipulation or some not deadly Curses won’t corrupt you. However this would change if you learn and practice arts like Necromancy, Blood Magic or deadly Curses. Those arts might corrupt you.
who will be able to wield srts that can corrupt one?
the raiju?
Pfff little corruption never killed anybody its perfectly safe
yes corrupting power is so facinating!
All of the six playable species will be able to learn Darius’s forbidden arts, which might even corrupt your character in the long term. However, I would be careful. Corruption isn’t something to joke about.
What’s worst that could happen
You might become a ruthless emotionless monster that doesn’t care for the lifes of others beings OR you could lose your mind because of the corrupting influences of the forbidden arts.
We receive ultimate power!
Just kidding prabably become evil or something getting possesed somthing like that, i bet
Edit: ninja’d
Then ill learn light magic as well, as i always do. " a dark magician who happens to be even better performing light magic" i love creating characters with contradicting abilities
So if i summon a skeleton and it tries to kill me, ill just trow some healing magic and watch it burn.
Are all the dragons equal in power or some are stronger than others?
It reminds me of my character in this Aetherian Spell Academy game here, my two strongest stats were darkness and healing.
All of the eight Dragon’s are equally strong. Though, through the centuries some kind of “family structure” has been created between the eight Dragons. Lyra for example takes on the roll of the big sister, who makes sure that both Darius and Feng don’t get carried away by their actions, while Kaguya is the one who repairs the damage caused by her siblings or who eases the conflicts between her siblings. Tarik and Arkus are mainly focused on their own interests, but they would also be of help if Darius or Feng would go a little bit too far again with their doings. Then there are Mana and Aurelia who don’t want to get mixed up in the affairs of their siblings and simply stay for themselves.
A good idea, but don’t forget what I told you about Lyra’s teachings. You need to have clear mind and a wide comprehension for the magical principles, to master the arts of the Element Light, which means, that your character should have high points in “Magical Knowledge”.
Kitsune and raiju then?
ALSO Forgot to ask.
Can i build a kitsune fencer? Or something like that?
.
Same here. Darkness healing and speed
