Speaking about Yiska… has anyone else run into the ‘script busy’ error when you go to meet him in Elko?
That error is still not appearing to me and I don’t see the flaw when I test or scan the code.
If someone does run into it, copy down the line immediately preceding the crash. That bit of text will tell me exactly where to look.
SpiderGirl- You are welcome. It is odd, but when I went to look it up on Google it didn’t appear. Only by consulting my original notes on various Indian names could I find the meaning.
How do you feel about the Indian name Yiska bestowed upon you at first? He tends to stick with first impressions.
@Allengies After reading marias backstory yes is credible, better a uncle than cousins it wasnt infrecuent the marriage inter cousins in noble houses so people can speak about them alone. In spain no consumation no marry, the habitual in similar causes is wait to papal dispensal and marry with the inmediate heir if not marry or one of his sons. In nobility herence all titles and land go to first son Mallorazgo this is for no break family power.but the case you describe is not imberosimil, well maybe the monks dont acept women living with them in monastery to no foment the sins chance but is a salvaje land and they dont leave a noble woman in non catolical hands

I’m going for the persuasive route, backing it up with iron, as certain character said. Lorelei doesn’t fight unless she has to, that silver tongue doing all the job, but has a mean arm in case trouble shows up. Currently follows a romance with Caraway, because that woman is a charmer, no cheating since she doesn’t have a deathwish. Doesn’t like Preston and bats every single thing he offers. Wants to be a legend, will leave after duty is served, and loves cash; if you know what I mean. Has some honor, though, that’s why she’s broke.

I, for one, love the game so far. It’s an amazing experience and I had too much fun playing it. I can see people losing themselves inside the game for hours.
Also, I’d like to know what Yiska’s nickname means, the suspense is killing me, ha.

right after escorting prestons wagon i went to the saddler and the option to have a saddle made for maria was there even though i havent met her yet
Thinking that if she has another companion it really needs to be
A) a Brother who always has her best intentions,
B) Another body guard, one whom watches from a distance, whom has taken care of her for Maria’s entire life, and would readily die for her
C) Or as you said it an always drunk uncle, (now for the twist) who has a dark and mysterious past making him extremely proficient at killing, causing him to drink more. And this guy is literally always wasted… Like drinks more than Caraway can in an entire day before lunch
Not sure if this is a bug or not. But when the MC is investigating the background of Marshal Steele, you are presented with repeated options to visit Boot Hill, even if you have already gone there and looked around. Similarly I asked several characters to ‘back me’ during the confrontation (Maddy,Schmidt ) but none of them actually turn up. Also even though I asked for the incriminating letters they never turned up.

Well, those are good cases for Maria being Mexican and so I believe I shall re-write her as such. Mind you, she is still going to have gone to the Convent in Madrid but she’ll have been called back across the ocean for the marriage. Not too many adjustments to her story seem to be needed and the change suits her in a way. Less stifling certainly.
I can see her having a traditional but idealistic Father. One who wants the best for his children but has to bend his higher inclination to the way things must be.
I will also have to add the Uncle, a man with a violent past. Perhaps bloodied when fighting the Americans at Vera Cruz or the like. I may use all elements of TheFateReaper’s suggestions.
MaraJade- If I understand you correctly, Maria would likely be required to marry another son of the same family or the next heir (If available). What if there were no unmarried heirs? Specifically, under what circumstances do you think she, as the widow, could inherit or have her family do so? That would be the crux of the reason she would have to flee to a savage land because it lays open a possible power-play between the two families so long as she remains alive.
I am also impressed by your understanding of the subtle thresholds regarding marriage. This includes the requirements for a marriage to be official in Spain. Could I ask what your opinion would be for Mexican law or Church authority regarding Maria’s marriage at present? I would like Maria to be a virgin widow (it is a great juxtaposition with Miss Caraway), but if the logistics of this prove impossible then I shall adjust.
VoodooDolly- Such a high persuasion on the character, but apparently you have managed to upset most of the main characters. And yes, I’m saving the reveal of the name Yiska gave for a dramatically humorous moment.
Mattteller- You are right about Hungry Snake. He needs a mention in there. The Saddler… guess I miscounted the meta_time variable on that entry. It is hard to buy a saddle for someone you have never met
Bloodwyche- Hmm… something in the coding isn’t working right. Boot Hill is only supposed to come up once. And now that you point things out, I’ll have to revise some of the evidence entries. I cheated a little and shortened them up too much.

@AllenGies in spain doesnt exist virgin widows actually, canonical law establish the principle of matrimonio rato non consumato, the weeding alone doesnt make all efects until bed consumation. For instance in royal weedings a minister or cardenale of the two countries were in nupcial chamber to comfirm the Union.the henry VIII first wife was originally married with his brother who died little months after the wedding two countries alleged no consumation so first weeding didnt exist. Every time I’ve done a “Bad Gal” run Yiska calls the MC ‘Tahoma’ rather than ‘Motsqueh’ is that intentional? And of course if you could clear up the meaning.
I’ve not been able to duplicate this one, but I’ve seen something similar to the ‘double ending’ to the Marshall Steele shootout when you fight Tumbleweed Jack. The message said that the MC had got their gun out in time and also stated that the MC had failed to get their gun out and that Caraway had saved the day.
@AllenGies Pretty sure Maria could be a virgin since her fiance died at the alter. Plus her virginity is more of an incentive to romance her. gigity
