Yeah. Ten years seemed like the obvious choice to me. But still that was a pretty good guess.
Ohhh it keeps getting better and better…
Can’t tell if that’s sarcastic or actually what you think. XD
Of course i am geniune, im always genuine
How are wars fought? Is there “honor” in war or is it total war where anything is allowed?
Ok Asterius and the MC definitely have history then. Childhood friend? Old comrades? Spill those beans @bl00dragon
You’ll never take me alive! Naruto-running out of the building
Seriously though, Asterius and the mc never met, at least not formally, when they did no name was ever exchanged. And yet they’re not strangers, their relationship probably can’t be described with a single word. Though I don’t mind saying that Asterius never forgot the first time he saw the mc in action, the sight haunted him for quite some time.
Well not so differently from the way we do it. With incredible, unabashed hypocrisy and shifting the blame if they’re caught.
The concept of honor is kind of a hot topic in the discussions between different levels and personalities of each military structure. They all, on the surface, abide by it, but in reality no one really has the ability to apply it.
The Nevarran code of chivalry is probably the closest you get to honourable warfare. And though most knight-commanders want to apply the code to the letter, it’s impossible. Nevarra would have lost a lot of battles if they were really following the code, and they won many battles by doing the most despicable things. At worst, you’ll get a slap on the wrist if your unchivalrous behaviour was noticed.
The Kriegsgardian armies apply iron-clad discipline in their ranks and anyone caught doing something reprehensible is made an example of. No raiding, no stealing, no raping, no massacres and no sullying the name of their commander, of the Kaiser and of the motherland, for any of these offense the punishment is death. But in reality only a few of their armies are that disciplined, their elites and those commanded by commanders who actually care.
For other species, usually any pretense of honor or righteousness is completely forgotten. And the same goes when other species attack mankind. Anything goes. No one can prove anything and nobody cares.
So yeah, honor doesn’t win wars. No matter how hard the good ones try, it doesn’t really matter.
Honor is for non-letal tournaments/duels(as long as you are not betting for something really important), when you want to show off or if you want to be self righteous.
Seeing as I don’t remember what weapons are available for the WK?
I’ve made some changes. I wanted to give you a wide choice, while not ending up drowning in the variety of weapons. I switched the mace to an eveningstar, because I thought a longer version would suit the Wight King better. And I switched the scythe to a custom bec de corbin, to keep the scythe-like aspect but make it a military version, later on in the story you will be able to get an artefact scythe, enchanted by an old necromancer.
All of these weapon were crafted with a champion in mind, so they’re heavy, tough and much deadlier than a normal weapon, some of them even have special proprieties. The mc is strong enough to use each of them with a single hand without trouble when needed.
The weapons you’ll be able to choose from as of now are:
- Greatsword: A balanced sword, almost as long as you are tall yet agile and deadly.
- Eveningstar: A huge mace, tipped with a spike, heavy, incredible destructive power.
- Glaive: A polarm tipped with a deadly chopping blade, made more for striking than thrusting. It’s best suited to sweeping through hordes of enemies, but it’s agility and flowing strikes makes it just as good in a duel.
- Great beak: A custom polyvalent weapon, unholy spawn of a classic bec de corbin and a scythe, with a long, sharp beak that can pierce armor just as well as chop limbs off. It also has a sizable spike on top and a hammer head on the opposite of the beak.
- Great axe: A long handle with a huge blade, a heavy but surprisingly fast chopping edge that will cleave through bone and steel with ease.
Well, for now that’s it. But I’m still thinking about adding one more weapon.
Could you ad the midle finger claw? got the idea from afar the mad world.
A pen.
A Gun.
A Gauntlet.
Twin Blades.
A Yandere Companion.
A domesticated starspawn
An Ultra greatsword
A schimatar
A chained weapon of sorts
I would be more than happy with a sabre (one made to be weld by something like the WK of course)
What about something like these?
I don’t know why, but I think this kind of weapon is simply beautiful
ok i have to ask i’m almost hoping this isn’t a misspell.
It is a misspelling
NVM that is totally what I meant
Got it its a Misspelling of Ultimate Drunken Warrior Scimitar Fighting Style now in Wight King Flavor
I’m surprised no one suggested knuckles… or something along those lines.
Fisticuffs your way trough your enemies and to power. Roleplay as one punch man.
i mentioned Gauntlets…
granted i also mentioned a pen…
What about a gauntlet MADE OUT OF PENS! THE ULTIMATE WEAPON OF DESTRUCTION!
