The Wight King(WIP) - Chapter 6 added (12/01/2023)

How dare you?

Giants don’t really exist, at least not an entire species of giant humans, but there are species of very tall humanoids like the valgarmians. But they’re not typically able to make half-breeds, because of the obvious size difference and technical reasons.

If you play as a mutant, you’ll be able to choose to play as a semi-beastkin. But I’ll probably keep in the lower corruption levels, because a particularly corrupted beastkin would just be too different.

What do you mean by too different?

For a half-breed to be possible, the compatibility rate needs to be at least decent. Basically, the essence of the two species must be compatible.

Humans have a particularly malleable essence, which makes them very weak to chaos’ corruption and also makes them very compatible for cross-breeding. But sometimes even that is not enough, especially if the other species has a rigid essence, like dwarves. Dwarves are almost completely immune to all form of magical corruption, and their compatibility rate with other species is so low half-breeds aren’t possible.

Typically, the more different a species is to another, the lower the compatibility rate is. Both elves and orcs can produce half-breeds with humans, but orcs and elves have a pretty low compatibility and cross-breeding is very unlikely.

Okay… that’s still a bit confusing but thanks for clearing it up a bit.

Ok, so, just how customizable will this mutant be? and by that I mean CAN I BE SANGUINIUS?

ALL HAIL THE BOB COUNCIL!

Don’t worry, the important thing to remember is that species that resemble each other will be more likely to be able to produce half-breeds than others, and that humans are especially able to produce half-breeds.

I’ve made a terrible mistake. :open_mouth:

I’m not sure yet, I don’t really want to focus on that now. But getting huge wings will probably not be a thing, imagine how inconvenient it would be. XD

Puts on a monocle and a fake mustache, activate meta snobbish tone

Please excuse my redness but as my eldritch friend has started, the blood angels chapter has unfortunately always suffered from this macabre thirst, I also feel like I must say that our glorious primarch sanguinius was completely aware that he would meet his end at the hands of his traitorous brother, and decided to fight anyway, even after days of constant battle, all that to protect his father our glorious emperor and his species, please have more respect towards the emperor’s son and check thy facts

@CultOfCthulhu was my snobbishness good enough?

It was perfect

So since we are on this topic at the moment and me not wanting to derail later what is all of your favorite Chapters mine has to be the Lamanters

Definitely the Reasonable Marines, besides them I always liked the wolves, the raven guard and of course the hawk boy boys, one day I might even create my own chapter. Now let’s enter normal WK questioning mode and hope the mods don’t quick us out as you said, I shall see you in the next meme heresy I hope.

Ok, firstly @bl00dragon, this question has been bugging me for quite some time, will we, the great Wight king, supposed to be dead for millennia, be able to have a pet? From a monstrous leviathan to a loving undead doggo? maybe something like Sif from dark souls? Also, what is your opinion on Magi-tec, or even steam? I ask this because I’m curious if we will be able to help this world even if it is just to become more powerful, or as a strategy in order to have an advantage upon our enemies.

Second point:

I like the way you think.

Third point:

Me likey

Forth and last point:

This is my WK new headcanon appearance.

What’s this, exposing me with facts and logic?! That’s heresy!

That didn’t work out so well now did it?

Probably. Depends on what special weapons I’ll let you get later in the story, but probably.

Well, if you don’t mind spending your life forced to wear clothing that has no back covering, and especially not armor, then yeah it’s not so inconvenient I guess.

Weapons designed for champions, or particularly strong people are made to last, usually made much thicker than a normal weapon needs to be. So yeah, when you choose to use the greatsword, it’s thick and heavy, but not on the level of the ultra-greatswords. Yet.

Not millenias, you’re pretty fresh. It seemed more interesting to me to let you play in a time period when people would remember you, have fought by your side or against you. The curse is much more likely to affect someone that died relatively recently.

I don’t really have an answer yet. You’ll have minions, some of them will surely be animals.

Well, magic and technology are not really set apart in this world. Wizards have always studied magic in a “scientifical” manner, they are scholars before anything else, the magic objects they make are simply technology using the principles of magic. The high elves use magic in everything, their day to day life is defined by magic. The Arcanists in particular have always sought ways to progress in the fields of both magic an technology, going even farther than wizards. The only things that resembles a gun on this world are a kind of very expensive long range wand invented to fire spells directly or through the use of magic-charged shells.

As for steam, it’s not in any kind of production stage. But the gold dwarves neither comfirm nor deny they discovered it.

It’s funny, because Artorias’ fighting style was an inspiration for some scenes. And will probably be later as well.

How recently? Like say 10 years for example?
