Good great story. ZERO GAME ON IT. I EVEN COULDN’T CHOOSE MY OWN NAME. zero immersion you fixed my emotions, my opinions, my friendship and my personality. I found myself with all options I don’t like and would never choose. You have a goodie character in mind who don’t like politics and is loyal to his king. I have in mind a charming politician who hates the king and want accept the stuff to using it like a leverage. Also the name is a must Mara wouldn’t call her self Octavia. The story is good but you can’t set in stone EVERYTHING if not where choice is Your choices are exactly same .
1-Be a political blind asshole
2-be a political blind asshole with sarcasm
3- Be a political blind asshole mute.

Very “Interview with the Vampire”. I shall be following this closely 
I just finished the demo and must admit I quite enjoyed it, however, there are a few hiccups with the design of the game. First and foremost, people around here prefer less restrictions when it comes to character building and involvement - things like being to choose our own names, appearance, background, personality, how we choose to react in a certain event, etc. Its still too early to have even half of these things but I figured now is probably the best time to give you a head’s up before you progress even further.
Personally I don’t mind it too much - Telltale Games are one of my favorite videogame developers and they too tend to rail-road us with specific characters who already have a backstory of their own. Theirs stories, despite the grandiose advertisement of “freedom” and “choice making” tend to be pretty linear in that “all roads lead to Rome” sort of way. However, what they lack in “true freedom” they usually make up in story and emotional investiment, which is something I quite enjoy.
Assuming you can deliver something in a similar magnitute I think some may even forgive some degree of restriction… that is, if you’re set on following this path of course.

For now it is, there is reason for it in the story and later the chance to change your name. But if people are so against it I’ll add in an option earlier.

This is a fun game! With the exception of some misspelled words, the flow of the writing is good. I also like the idea of the game.
I’m going to make it more interactive, keep in mind that this is early on in the game and I will be going back and fixing things this is my first gane so im still figuring things out. Don’t worry you can absolutely be a charming and political vampire if you want to.

I’m a big fan of tell tale as well and I understand what you mean. I was planning on weaving the character building into the story more than having it all right at the start but I may change it seeing as it seems to be a complaint.

Can I also ask what you mean by blind?
You don’t have to info dump character building in the beginning; people are just complaining about how the MC seems fixed( name, has to be friends with king, etc.). Work the character building naturally into the story, but don’t try to give us major decisions when we don’t even know who are characters are at first.

This seems interesting, and I like the concept of a secret vampire society actually acknowledging the existence of technology. I think I’ll follow this WIP and give my two cents every now and again.

That would be right, I know that a lot of people will probably be put off by this but as you said, you are a child. I am going to replace it with the ability to choose your ‘companion’, the person that you trust the most and can lean on when times get tough.

Political blind is people who have zero idea about political parties and what to say. Character behaved like a monkey with rabies. I wanted go to court, I wanted go and pretend love the course and use like a leverage to gain power. You forced all contrary a rude asshole very stupid that goes everywhere like a drunk asshole and that loves his king . You fixed entire character personality and way to act.I am a role player so why I will want to PLAY this is a game not a novel about YOUR character. I want Play MINE .
@Sovereign2Lilith Has explained the problem you told all You believe this you did this you opinate this … You are telling me not let me choose anything at all. Tell tale is Skyrim compared with the choice are you giving now.
So far you’ve only had interactions with two people and the game hasn’t even gotten to the most political parts yet. You can absolutely be a charming vampire out for power and manipulating everyone, it just hadn’t reached that stage yet. You can hate the king if you want to be please be aware that this is just a demo and at the moment I’m just trying to get things down and get people to try it to see what needs to be done and what people like. That being said, thank you for the advice, I’m still trying to find a balance between story and choice, I’ll be fixing it soon.

I understand this is a demo but the beginning is when I create my character. If you are saying you are this and you are this and you believe this. Well game is over. I want have my character I really don’t care other characters if I cannot choice mine. If you have already fixed my personality I can’t believe that suddenly my character change 180 and became Mara. I prefer not choice dialogue and choose who I am. And for that is the beginning of a story.
