You’re probably either confusing it with The Golden Rose which does have pirate captain RO, or with the pirate guy who is a RO but for MC’s sister Freya.
Oh wow. Yes, my bad, i was going by the old version and didn’t have a look at the RO list for the rewrite.
So, it seems that the MC can have romance with the captain of Freya’s RO (Tameran makes appearance late in Ch.5 and is mentioned as such) Talk about messy. :v

Those are two different people: the RO is the pirate captain, and Freya’s lufu is just a pirate under him (who has gone rogue).
They ain’t on good terms, so it’ll be interesting to see how his romance pans out if Freya ends up with her guy.

Winning the deer is easy if train in archery and hunt.

Hunting the deer doesn’t depend on archery skill but on a flag which is set if you explicitly pick the option to train archery or hang out with the soldiers early in the game.
